Now that I can sit down and have the wiggle room in time. Finally made it into December...and I'll say what I've been saying. I do like that when I've had time during this busy month, that GH has been highly bingeable or good background noise. Let me start with the bad though...where I'm at in my viewing right now...the episodes have that le sigh 'wacka wacka' vibe to it and we know how much that irritates me to no end. It was slight but noticeable enough to mention it. I really and truly wish that if CVE...which is who I feel is the main person cuz it is usually in his episodes...would try a new form in his writing outlines to get the humor he is clearly working for in a way that's funny. It reminds me of Marvel movies where you have a serious moment going on and then...a joke pops out at the wrong time to do so. That said...I did like the mixture of characters said wacky-ness was in. And yeah the closeup on the dogs was adorable. Meanwhile...so I had to smh at the (potential?) Who Shot Drew reveal. First of all, I would say that was Korte if it's going to be Curtis being behind it all. I've said over the last couple of years that of the two HWs Korte really seems to be the one inspired by Drew vs Curtis and it showed in her episodes where she headlines. She has done some intriguing twists that I liked...only for CVE episodes to ruin them. So I fully expect more of the same. Second of all, MS. WU!!!! We know I loved seeing her...the shaky camera work...not so much. I don't like that silly technique dating all the way back to OLTL so Frank...I SEE YOU. In any case...I do like the idea and twist if it's for real going to be Curtis/Ms. Wu behind Drew's shooting. BUT I liked the idea of Willow as the shooter. And that brings me to... ...YASSSS!! And by that...I LOVED that Willow said what we have been discussing on screen. She is no longer in love with Drew. She is USING DREW. The smartest thing she's ever done. Which of course means Dark Willow is still in play...and I can get behind Willow as a schemer. Good to be verified in some way given Katie Mc plays Willow now like she is going to crack at any moment. That said...the downside that I felt to that is that it moves her away from being Drew's shooter which is just good delicious drama as well so it makes me wonder if the writers were trying to find any way they could to wiggle her out of the corner she was clearly heading and just luck onto Curtis. I AM OVER DANTE. Not the character, but his hatred of Gio. It is just so plot-based and it irks my soul every time it comes up. It feels so out of character from what we know of Dante. Worse they used the lamest reason for it. So it will never ring true for me. Though I'm happy to see DZ being used more in family stuff as well as Police Commissioner cuz...DZ. Now...what's currently holding my interest... No surprise, but LAURA, LAURA, LAURA. I've loved each and every minute of what's going on with Laura, Sonny, and Dalton's body. I don't like everything about it, but I think it's a case for me of GF can spin just about any stupid thing into gold and GF doesn't phone in. There's been so many moments major and minor within the storyline where GF conveys soooo much on her face...even subtext and it makes me think to past storylines with her...and I'm good. Like her vs Sidwell which was some great scenes, ending with her breaking down as she saw he had her over a barrow...such a Laura moment. I still feel they are using Erza wrong, but interesting that he and Sidwell are in cahoots. And I love that Kevin is back and Laura went ahead and told him. I was fully expecting her to keep it from him. I can't decide if I'm liking the Sidwell scenes because the plot is moving or because I like the actor. I did like during my wacka wacka episodes that the actor was actually playing against the vibe. Since he's the Frank villain du jour, it was there in the performance, but the actor was giving a menacing subtext. And that was appreciated. My only complaint is that for Sidwell to rise, they had to dumb down Drew as the main villain. I wish the writers understood they could use BOTH in that capacity, but they are probably planning this as to redeem Drew as they are using Curtis/Ms. Wu to redeem Willow. I'm also loving the Portia mess. Curtis and Jordan getting back together has brought out this hellcat in Trina and she's never been hotter. It might be only a plot device, but TA is running with it and I love it. Ava would approve I'm sure. And the walls just closing in on Portia has been crazy. I also loved Nina vs Portia. More please. SIDENOTE...HEY, JOEY BUCH, HEY!!! About time they got him shirtless. That said...like I said before...Carly doesn't need a sidekick to scheme. She does it as easily as she brings so I rolled my eyes at the return of Frank's BFF Val. The scenes were very well-directed though. Awww. That is soooo adorable. Thank you for sharing.

I love all of this. Especially the Victoria Rowell thoughts. Yep. And honestly, I've over that. Time for a new promo. I'm surprised they didn't do a promo for GV.

But how you start watching yet? ;P Gotcha gotcha. Episode 3 already have me in my feels. So I can only imagine what Episode 5 will do.

You know what...Episode 2 and the bathroom scene...that went to the bedroom...are all Russians like this? Just saying...lol. But seriously...Episode 2 was good. And yes...HOT. And why are all Sashas like that (if you know, you know ;) ). And I was sad about that ending. Cuz Hollander and that bubble. le sigh. And already liking Kip and his friend girl in Episode 3 which I've started to watch...cuz her and her 'GUURL.' Such a cute meet-cute between him and Scott though I can't place the actor for the life of me right now, but he looks sooooo familiar. Oh, am I about to throw something at my tv? Cuz I like so far how they mix the sexual with the romantic really well.

I was wondering if Vanessa was playing Joey when Donnell was in town. But I don't think that is no longer the case from what has been shown. It feels like the character has been made weaker.

Well Easton has been teasing a return. Allegedly. Very much disdain. Not just for Lucky/JJ but anyone connected to Laura it seems...which is why I'm surprised she is getting story again as I play catch-up. I do feel it was a ABC mandate because all of her kids came home or made appearances last year and now look at all of them.

Well the buzz intrigued me enough. So far, I like it. So annoyed that my work schedule is making me watch it slowly. Hopefully, I'll get a few minutes of Episode 2 in before bed. But I loved the pilot. And like I said...a NEW crush. Cuz God, that bubble. Oh, yeah, this past weekend, it blew up on social media so fast in the States, I wanted to see what everyone was talking about. I SEE NOW LOL.

Or it could lead to lively discussion. ;) I feel your POV might be echoing how I feel. When you lay out how the show started...yeah, all of those stories had builds and were oh so layered for me. And with him gone, it does seem clear that for all the flaws, MVJ and Guza balanced out each other really well. Good for Guza since it's nice to see he still has it in him after all these years and has redeem himself a little bit in my eyes from years of stuff I didn't like on GH. Now...while I'm still enjoying...like you, I have started to have a growing feeling something is missing. Like for example, the complexity for a lot of the characters appear to be...gone? Paint-by-numbers in a way that it wasn't before? And no reveal at Winterfest...which would be a first real test for new HW...does worry me...though I enjoyed the episode overall.

Finally done with last week... I was about to write off the whole week. I think the only week that I disliked more than this one was the week right before the two weeks of Chelsea's kidnapping. But that ending with the woman who KNOWS HAYLEY...AND RANDY, TOO!!! Oooo....THANK YOU FOR THAT CURVEBALL!!! I didn't like the week. Or maybe I should say that I liked the moments within the week. I already mentioned my thoughts on Winterfest. And we know I'm hot to trot for GV. But as for the rest of what I liked... MARTIN ABOUT TOWN. Thank you! I liked Martin got a scene with his dad. Then Martin got a scene with his sister and they made up. It was just really nice to see the Richardson family in play. Now if only Martin had gotten a scene with his mother, too. hehe. Brandon Clayborn has come such a long way and I was enjoying his presence that week. TEAM KAT OVER HERE. I know we discuss how she has been a classist...at least with Eva cuz she just comes across as a little diva princess with other 'commoners' like Laura and Mona...but I don't see how you can watch this week and have her talk about her feelings all week and then she's not worth caring about when she's not at all (or at least not completely) the problem. She was dead on about Eva. And she's dead on about Silk Press Sheila. But everyone wants her to work it out with Eva. Meanwhile, Eva is telling everyone who will listen that her Mama has changed when that is not at all the case and SPS isn't even really trying to change. Nor is Eva coming across remorseful to me. Sidenote...love we got another Kat/Dani scene. But...it's sad that since Guza left the building, I feel a lot of the shades/grayness to the characters have kinda walked out of the building with him and the Kat/Eva rivalry for me is a case for that. What happened with Joey and Vanessa...which felts like a complete 180...was another. DEREK. I see what you meant @Soaplovers . But honestly I don't need Derek to backpedal. He had a firm ending when he read Ashley down last week. And that should be that. So this talk with Jacob and he getting defensive is highly worrying. But I felt even with the tongue-lashing he gave Ashley, they were far from being over just due to the abruptness of Ashley finding out about his lying...it seems under Thomson, they want them together. We'll see. TOMAS. I continue to feel this whole thing to get Kat to marry him will lead to his exit storyline. And ha at mentioning Carl Vati outside of a non-RC episode. SILK PRESS SHEILA. You know what? I can't fault her for not waiting around for Ted. And I like her with Marcel. I would think Eva wouldn't have run to her so quickly to warn her. But let's see how this growing cat-and-mouse game goes. Speaking of... THE MYSTERY WOMAN. It's been a moment since we got the Hayley reveal. And outside of Bill's recent almost death, it has been overdue the next story beat. So that has me excited. Though it again for me gives me late 90s DAYS...which is a compliment. How is Hayley and Randy going to get out of this one? hehe. Stay tuned. What I did not like...and it's been my main complaint. It's been a series of scenes. BTG has been at its best so far when it builds up to events. It also is at its best when it is focused on one of its A stories or one of its B stories. And outside of Dani...there is no longer any of that. And I found it telling that just as Dani's story was heating up again, it abruptly fell to the backburner and has been on a simmer for too long for me. I am happy that we do get moments of teasing. In fact, I would say the writers are aware. Otherwise, there would be no teasing. Other things... JACOB/NAOMI. While I'm happy to see them connecting again...Naomi was coming across as a shrew too many times. And that gave me more whiplash than the discussion I glanced about Naomi and Jacob's issues abruptly vanishing during the Winterfest episode. I just felt it was a 'good day' for them, but that it didn't just vanish. Friday though...even with Naomi spelling it out...I just felt those scenes were off. Though I love me sum Jacob for being so sweet. EVA. Just ugh. Shut up. Laura is the victim. Your mother is not. This is the woman who kicked you out of the apartment after the anniversary party and you are STILL traumatized yourself. I can't with her. I know I hoped that once they mended fences, they would still be a ki-ki, but I was expecting a ki-ki with some growth to it. This ain't it. ASHLEY LE SIGH. Not again. And by again, I mean I know they are not trying to already put Ashley and Derek back together. Please no.
