She is? In the last WWHL of 2018, Kyle was saying how this upcoming season was all about big lies being exposed, the implication being LVP was the big liar. Basically, she, Rinna and to a lesser extent Erika have run a 5-month victory lap around Instagram, cawing with triumph, as if LVP were already gone from BH.

I, too, believed the rumors that a new production team were basically ushering LVP out the door and giving her a terrible edit to boot. Imagine my surprise at the trailer, where LVP jumped out as one of the most sympathetic characters (yes, I know I am biased towards LVP, but I do try to view her somewhat fairly).

And now we have this interview with LVP, which is by far her most open and emotionally honest to date. LVP is always good in her blogs at expressing things clearly, but I was still impressed at how she got to the heart of her feelings and emotions in that interview, and in such a relatable way. As @DaytimeFan said, for a British woman of her generation to open up about depression and medication is pretty huge. Until recently in Britain, those struggles were usually kept quiet.

All this to say that I'm not sure how production are going to frame things with LVP in the BH universe, but it feels like something which seemed a dead cert a few months ago (LVP leaving RHOBH, possibly ignominiously) is starting to turn. The victory laps taken by Rinna, Vyle, Teddi et al seem a little premature. I cannot believe the previously empathetic Teddi of all people is leading the charge.

As for Brandi returning.... Yikes. Her ego (and behaviour) would be out-of-control.

Going by what you said...I guess the lesson that the girls need to learn here is...

  2. Well, it' s been a highly fun season so far. But I like the 'heading into adulthood' hook they are finally trying to give the show.

THough I'm not sure how the rumored Billie Lee drama is going to pan out.

That new episode with the twin birthday party was hilarious however. Stassi just cannot have a normal bday party, can she?

  3. Taking up a co-worker's challenge, I am happy to report that I have been bingewatching and just finished Season 4 which has been the best finale so far for me.

Mad about Tywin. He was definitely a favorite of mine.

And loved the fantasy element of Bran's story that got introduced.

Meanwhile that Hound/Briene fight was awesomely brutal.

    Shae...SMH.

Can't wait to continue on to Season 5...

  4. Given all this tea on LVP's state of mind coming up on the new season of RHoBH, I honestly can't wait to see how things went done and it does sound like the other girls won't come off looking good at all.

Well...since I've been gone for a minute...I have some catching up to do so forgive if I have lengthy posts coming...

    First up...

    ATL

It was all over the place last I check in. So it has been nice over the last month that the new cast appears to be finally gelling (I can say the same for RHoNJ). And I am liking Tanya so far. Can't wait for her Tokyo revelation.

NENE. Hmmm. Not here for the Greg cancer stuff. Nor her jealousy over Tanya. That said...she has had some funny moments, but I don't see much going on with her.

CYNTHIA. I know everyone seems to call her boring. But I feel most of what is going on with her has been organic and I have liked it from Noelle heading to college to seeing Leon to even some (if not all) of the Mike stuff. It is nice to see someone not just having drama. And loved her winning in BITCA STOLE MY TALENT. She definitely outshined Eva.

EVA. Hmmm...I've been enjoying that everyone has been seeing her for the shady diva that she's been acting like. I would think once Cynthia beat her in that walk contest that she would stop, but...smh. But she is not stupid...already building alliances with Tanya and Shamari.

SHAMARI. She came in trying too hard. But now that she has come down, she's been fun. And judging from the twitter fight she just had with Marlo (and while she gave good, she lost), it looks like there might be the next rivalry coming.

KANDI. I really wish they had filmed the event. It is hard to play she said/she said without recipits. In any case, I like she still have other things going on. But I don't think I can take another fight between her and Porsha.

PORSHA. THANK GOD THEY STOPPED SHOWING HER SO MUCH. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! That said...while I like she is happy...I can't help thinking that this is Kenya's storyline we should be watching...with a better/hotter man.

 I feel ya. That's how I felt about Meghan for 3 long years. Will try to temper my gushing.

Changing the subject, but has anybody heard any news about Season 5 of Melbourne? It's usually around this time they start promoting it. I've been missing it lately and really enjoyed S4.

And TT has an article about how ATL's ratings are tanking, but Bravo does not mind because it is increasingly focused on attracting a younger female demo for ad sales. The article was interesting for many reasons -- 1. because it indicated that Michael Beck and his Don't Be Tardy crew had been replaced by a female producer and another team. And 2. because all that talk of the Young Female Demo took me back to the early 2000s, when Daytime soaps started casting young sexy looks over talent and sidelining its older, popular characters (and imo started on the road to cancellation and ruin).

Since the RH franchise is essentially an evolution of Daytime soaps, this development is interesting to me. It explains why there has been so much Porsha and Eva on ATL this season (even though Porsha must be approaching 40 at this point). I can see they are already steering BH to towards this demo. I hope they don't touch NYC though: I love all those women, and do not want to see Ramona, Dorinda, Luann or the others sidelined for some newbie whose only qualification is 'younger.'

    http://tamaratattles.com/2018/11/26/exclusive-why-bravo-suits-are-actually-pleased-with-the-rhoa-ratings-this-season/

I would think the writing is on the wall for this all for sure because of...

    1) Bravo being adamant on turning Friday...FOR STARTERS...into Bravo Home and running with it. Not to mention it appears to be leaning more and more into scripted shows. I don't see half of the advertisement that the RH franchise used to get. Not to mention SHAHS and the like. Other than VP and BELOW DECK and competition shows like TOP CHEF and PROJECT RUNAWAY and even that is small. Look at that versus last year where by this point we would have ads running for RHOA, RHOJ, RHOBH, RHONY...even if it was six months out...AND VR. Why the shift?

    2) The odd choice of putting MARRIED TO MEDICINE on Saturday with little advertisement. And the even odder choice of the RHOC reunion on Sunday with little notice. Because surely I was not the only one who thought it would be on Tuesday to see (thankfully) an ad saying it would be on Sunday as a lead in to DIRTY JOHN. And again...I didn't even know that RHOA was still new that night because again there was little advertising and they kept RHOA faaaarrrr away from DIRTY JOHN ads.

Agreed with all. Don't touch NYC. Save for a few youngsters that didn't pan out and Carole's recent exodus, the current core cast has remained intact for 4 solid years with promise already for this new one coming up.

While I think BH and ATL need(ed) a cast shakeup, I hope they don't solely focus on the younger crowd. As I said recently, Real Housewives in its current state is like the daytime soaps as they neared the end of the 1990's. So here we are: 1999, Nielsen ratings freefalling, so we're beefing up the youth cast in hopes of attracting new, young viewers that'll become loyal fans for years to come. Here comes The Last Blast crowd; Jesse Metcalfe and the no-talent teens of Harmony, New England; a SORASed Marah and Shayne; MacKenzie and SORASed Billy; Liz, Lucky, Emily & whomever else was on GH; SORASed Rick and his babysitter Amber, etc. etc.

Not to mention what's been going on on Y&R since Mel Young took over.

  6.

    RHOC

This might get me into some trouble. Why? I actually liked it. Or more specific, I liked that Viki fought back.

Yes, we knew that Andy would bring up the Michael situation. And yes, I liked that Tamra, Shannon, Gina, and Emily were trying their best to get Viki to see how bad she handled that situation (and broke girl code). However, Kelly was picking and picking and picking. Maybe she thought she would be dealing with the weak Viki that has been at the last two reunions. And what usually happened when one housewife picked and picked on another housewife a la Wig v Kenya? That's riiiight...Viki brought her to tears. #yepyoutriedit

Now...like the saying goes...a hit dog will holler. Kelly recovered just fine from the coke comment just fine and should have let it go. Instead, she started to get really upset over it...opening herself up to Viki verbally KO-ing her with the Jolie comment. NOW THAT was low and I DID NOT LIKE Viki saying that. #nevercomeforthekids Still...none of it would have happened if Kelly had maybe come at it differently like what the other girls were doing with Viki.

I just watched the latest episode today! And I am shocked by you saying that D'Andra might be out, and that the show might be cancelled?? Say it ain't so. Where did you hear this? Why? We NEED Villainess D'Andra for season 4! And Mama Dee! And RHOD is the RH show I am most enjoying at the moment.

What is clear is that we have an LVP situation. The other women cannot stand LeeAnne. Or they may like her (in the case of Stephanie) but they feel intimidated by her popularity with the audience. So LeeAnne cuts a rather lonely figure on the show. And for that reason, I feel sorry for her, because none of these women are her friends, except Alien Kameron who is friends with her because she could never be friends with Brandi. D'Andra was once a true friend, but Bravolebrity fame, plus Brandi yapping in her ear, plus her own deep insecurities, have driven a wedge in that friendship which cannot be repaired.

As far as LeeAnne is concerned, on the one hand, she is hilarious, a firecracker, I love how she interacts with her fans, and I thought she handled that rottweiler Brandi PERFECTLY in Copenhagen. If Brandi walked off in a huff from dinner, it wasn't because she thought she had one, it's because she knew she had lost. LeeAnne was just too calm, clear-eyed and composed for her. God, I really hate Brandi and I see she's making one last bid for relevancy in this finale episode. I guess she peaked at just the right time, because she was a no-show the first half of this season!

But when she was greeting all the people for her fashion show, I thought she came across as fake and OTT. Maybe it's a Texan thing where everything is praised to the heavens. Anyway, it made me look at her jabs she made towards D'Andra a little bit differently. LeeAnne and D'Andra made progress in Denmark, and now LL set them back again. At the same time, maybe no real progress can be made when it is clear that D'Andra is so deeply jealous of LeeAnne.

See, this is why the reunion trailer cannot drop quickly enough!

And yes, I am loving Cary as Voice of Reason this year. She may be boring as she tries to sell her and Dr. Death's marriage as the love of the century, but when it comes to the women, Cary is pretty clear and direct to them.

From what I saw...it's just rumor for now on Twitter. re: cancelling RHOD. I know that over on TT one of the commenters had mentioned Cary's blog in the comments. So a few days ago, I was playing catchup online since I no longer have internet at the house and saw on Twitter that there were links to an article mentioning that coming out of the reunion that D'andra was out. I saw also that LeeAnne gave a thanks to one of her cast members but she haven't named who it was. I don't think it was Kameron...though her and LeeAnne appear to be thick as thieves still. So I do wonder what went down at the reunion. And Bravo is being extremely hush-hush over what went down. So yes...I really could use a trailer as well. lol.

LMAO! That mother was given Porsha the eye. She was not here for the BS

Kandi is so damn cheap. She has all that money and is trying to get a budget surrogate

Cynthia and her game....WTF does that? It doesnt even feel natural. Talk about producer induced. That was messy on so many levels

    OC

Ya'll talking about the reunion already? The season ended? LOL

What I found interesting is that Bravo did not even really advertise the first part of reunion being on Sunday at all. Or they made it sound like RHOA wasn't coming on and that OC was paired with Dirty John. Or...I think you get what I am getting at. I was fully expecting it to air in its usual timeslot. Bravo over OC already??

    OC

I... enjoyed the Reunion :ph34r:as toxic as it is so far, it is watchably toxic (unlike another Cali franchise I could mention).

Kelly came into Reunion primed to go after Vicki from the very first minute, and so Vicki decided to go after an ant with a sub-machine gun. As always with Vicki, she WENT THERE with hearsay and gossip. People are shocked, but this has been Vicki's M.O. for many seasons. It has also been Tamra's. OC is the Survivor of the RH franchises. However, I was also glad to see Gina, Emily and Shannon telling Vicki & Kelly to cool it with the toxicity and attacks. In the past, we have never really seen other HWs speak out in favor of curbing the viciousness.

Vicki lost me with not just the cocaine comment, but also the "Michael said it was 14 years of hell" comment, which was plain mean. And judging by Kelly's reaction, I am starting to think I am wrong in thinking she might be on the coke. Kelly was so adamant about it, in a way that suggests she was unfairly accused. Moreover, her getting Michael on the phone was a good move from the POV of the audience because he totally had her back.

Gina, surprisingly, acquitted herself well this first part. She was on point, good with her answers, and said more than Emily, Tamra or Shannon combined. I wouldn't necessarily mind if she got a second season now.

As for her ex Matt, the streets have been saying that he is (A) movie-star gorgeous, (B ) maybe had an affair, and (C ) maybe had an affair with a dude. And just to make that clear, this is totally Vicki-style hearsay and no actual proof of fact!

Gina's ex is worth the google. ;)

    RHOA

You know what? That was good. Eva vs everybody was worth it. It made me think of the time the girls were on Shady Phae Phae about the due date for Ayden.

    That said...

EVA. I thought she held her own. Did everyone see the looks Marlo was giving her though. You could practically see Marlo's jealousy over Eva getting that peach. So no wonder she started this mess. HOWEVER...when Nene isn't even still up for you and she was your way onto this show...you might want to watch your back. In any case, she was messy and I was actually rooting for Kandi, Marlo, and Cynthia. And just wait until they see what she has been saying on the show. As Porsha would say...'your a$$ is in the hot seat!!!' when the reunion gets here.

NENE. Shame on you for not having Eva's back in some way or form or fashion. I hollered at your shade though.

KANDI. Yep...go on and tell Eva to own her sh&t. LOL!!!

PORSHA. The best I can say for her is that hey, she's happy. And she was fun with her digs and looks during the game.

CYTHNIA. Keep paying Eva no mind.

SHAMARI. Still liking her. Though I see word on the street (@Giselle) is that Ronnie didn't like her revealing the open relationship talk.

    ALSO...

I see Marlo was kinda jealous of Tanya, too. She might have met her fashion match. lol. And I have to say...I like Tanya so far. However, I still want to know the tea she will be dropping in Tokyo. The anticipation is too much since I heard NOTHING. lol.

  8. Reunion looks are being dropped here and there. Since I don't do Twitter postings correctly...I'm sure one of you will get around to it. ;)

I like everyone's (especially Jackie's), but Toya's. Like the ponytail but very old maid.

  9. RHOD

I'm shocked no one has talked about the latest episode, the fact that next week is the finale (which means a reunion trailer is coming), and the rumors coming out of the reunion that D'Andra is OUT OF THERE...or that the show might be cancelled...or who was the friend that LeeAnne made a comment about that really had her back at the reunion.

    ANYWAY...

BRANDI. So unnecessarily messy. I can't begin to tell you how many times at that table I wanted to reach through my television and shake her. She's done so much that it does not even seem far fetched to me that she would steal LeeAnne's phone. And since it has been established this season how much LeeAnne can say ANYTHING and Brandi will run for it with some story it was perfect payback that LeeAnne claimed to clone her phone. Now egg on her face.

CARY. Firstly, I want to say how much I loved her latest blog coming down on Brandi for her behavior. I do hope she was right in saying that what she has shown on the show in terms of where her friendship stands with LeeAnne is true. It takes a strong person to forgive someone for something as bad as what LeeAnne did. So go her! And I loved that she got some alone time with her family.

STEPHANIE. I went AWWWW when she sent LeeAnne the flower. Class act. She has definitely come into her own. I only hope that she does not go back to drinking the Brandi kool aid.

KAMERON. I've been enjoying her all season. And that hasn't changed. Stay calling Brandi out on her bs.

ASHLEY ABBOTT. All the poking you were doing to LeeAnne all season and now that LeeAnne has started to take off the gloves to show her 'hands', you want to flicker? I rolled my eyes at her getting upset at LeeAnne's 'Queen Bee' comment at her fashion show. Is that what this feud has really been all about? I loved Cary checking her at that moment. Boo, it's not about you. It's LeeAnne's time.

LEEANNE. QUEEN. I looked like from commercials her showdown with Brandi next week is going to be vicious old school LeeAnne. And honestly, I'm HERE FOR IT. She has been going all season being on her best behavior and trying to get to a better version of herself. At some point one does say ENOUGH...and then you remind people who they are messing with and that YES, you are THAT CHICK.

Now...will someone pleeeeassssssse drop the trailer for the reunion? Thank you. :)

That guitar music is incredibly evocative and seems to sum up the bittersweet elements in these women's lives -- the picture-perfect yet sterile gated communities, the uncertainty/lack of fulfilment in their personal lives.

RHOC clearly should have been cut down to 11 episodes. We would have warmed to some of the newbies more quickly. I was very dismissive of Budget Jeana initially and now feel like she has a chance for S14. And as uneventful as S13 was, reunion is going to set us up well for next season.

I will be sorry to see Kelly go, she was a star this year. She + Tres Amigas = the core of the show. Is she still having an epic snit over the fact that Steve Lodge set-up her ex on a date? Or is Vicki's cocaine accusation at reunion prob the real reason she cannot forgive? I'm also guessing it is not 100% unfounded.

Steve Lodge's mother clearly cannot stand Vicki. Steve Lodge is never going to marry her.

Speaking of not liking people -- Eddie seriously dislikes Shannon. I really like how Eddie gives no [!@#$%^&*] this season.

Shannon is in a precarious place. OTOH, she IS the RHOC. She gives the viewers EVERYTHING -- the good, the bad, the ugly. OTO, she can never accept criticism, and this is a fatal flaw.

Tamra managed to hoodwink the newbies yet again into doing her dirty work, especially Gina. However, the Afghan Hound bit back, and Tamra was desperately trying to regain control of the narrative. I appreciate she has ditched the Chrishun with her Pasture baloney and is back to the pot-stirring Tamra we all know and... [fill in the blank].

Emily's marriage to Lil Shane is so dead. He could barely suppress a yawn when she was in that corset.

I think next year may be time to bring back Heather and possibly Lizzie.

I am betting it's that. And knowing Viki she just might have receipts.

    So ready for DALLAS tonight...

So....I gave this one more try. I watched the season premiere. Finally admitted I either don't like or don't care about these characters. I understand the show is based on books that I've never read so I guess I'm coming at it from outside but I keep comparing it to other shows that just seem to have done it all better, like Supernatural and Buffy. I'm glad there's talk of a Grimm 2.0.

I haven't seen it this season yet...more because NBC Player likes to act like the episode isn't loaded when I see it in front of me...but my co-worker said the same thing you said. Don't dislike it, but doesn't like it either. But keeps watching.

Natina Reed, the rapper in Blaque, died in a car crash in 2012. Its ironic bc Left Eye founded the group and they were marketed as the new TLC, and both groups had their rappers die in a car crash

and how is Kandi staying out of the Porsha mess. I generally like Kandi but she was such a fake ass bitch this episode. She is laughing and making nice with Porsha in one scene saying she knows stuff about her new man but she is gonna stay out of it but then goes and films with two people that dont f--k with Porsha to get them to gossip and bad mouth her. Jamie, the girl Porsha fought? I dont think we've ever even seen her before, just heard about Porsha fighting her. This was so strategic and calculated by Kandi but she does this all the time. She brings in the Kandi Koated Klique and Mama Joyce to fight her battles so she can keep her hands clean and say she didnt do anything when she does just by giving them the platform. She was asking the questions and leading Jamie and Carmon to say what she claimed she wasnt going to

I suspected as much, but I wasn't sure. Shame. I thought it was a good performance. That is sad.

Well, I was going by the narrative (@ Bethanny Frankel) of Kandi mentioning it to Todd an episode ago and he told her to stay out of it. And she has. Yeah, I remember who Janie is...since it was used against Porsha at that reunion where if Nene had come back then, it was going to be a Nene/Kenya/Kandi/Sheree boycott of filming with Porsha if I recall correctly. I agree. I don't think we ever seen her actually on screen.

LOL!!! You saying Kandi is using them by giving them a platform is making me think of RHOD Brandi last week and the cameras. I can see them that, but I would like to think Kandi is...hmmm above isn't the right word...not fake. Messy yes, but using them. But not fake. lol.

Now that I have time to give thoughts...I agree that something seems to be missing. And I realized what it was. WIT.

    That said...

NENE. I definitely feel sad about Greg. That scene last night with him looking so thin was just too much. It was depressing. While I pull for Nene, I feel like she could have spotlighted something else as a storyline since because it comes across at times like she is using Greg for storytime and that is simply not a good look. I would rather see her manage this while keeping her head up by maybe getting back into her careers. I mean...did Ryan Murphy and her fall out or something? Usually he would be reusing his actors so...just showing more of her hustle. And I win she could go back to Season 4 when she (and Marlo) had better fashion sense.

EVA. Eva...guuuurl. As Tyra would say...I was rooting for you. We all were rooting for you. But now that you are a full time member...I'm not like the shady that has replaced the 'keeping real' you you were last season. Given I knew Eva the Diva would come out eventually (aka next week when all the girls go at you from Cynthia to Marlo to Porsha and even Nene if I remember that clip right on WWHL), but shading Cynthia for a feud to keep yourself relevant isn't a good look on you, EITHER.

PORSHA. Not liking this new guy. Too shady. I do like seeing her happy and carefree actually. But I agree with everyone here to say that she is not strong enough to build a show around.

CYNTHIA. Meh on her storyline. I like her. And I can't wait (starting next week) when what Eva's been saying finally hits her ears. As Cynthia showed at the Season 10 reunion, she can tangle when crossed too many times too.

KANDI. I like that she's trying to stay out the Porsha stuff. Sad it won't last.

SHAMARI. Too early to tell. But like @Cheap21 so far I like her. Yeah, last night might have been too much focus on her, but I like what I saw. I was confused though. Isn't Blaque a trio? I don't know if one had passed or not...if so, my apologies. Some say she was too much. But...so was Kenya starting out.

Looking forward to Eva vs everybody next week.

Neither Camille nor Denise went on the trip as they were dealing with the fires.

I knew I forgot somebody. Thanks, DF.

OC reunion trailer is here and doesn't disappoint!  It might have been a slow, boring season but after this reunion, we might get a pretty feisty Season 14 if they keep everyone.

I love Emily yelling at Shannon.  Even I got scared!

That was a pretty great trailer.

And everyone was coming for EVERYBODY.

Ooooo at Viki called Kelly a cokehead and Tamra's face.

Tamra, Gina, and Emily calling Shannon to the carpet all through that trailer...though I am happy that Shannon had a good season for the most part.

Emily vs Kelly looks like fun, too. Looks like Kelly does a stormout to me in that last clip.

They definitely need to release a trailer. I suspect they're scrambling because the narrative of the show is probably a mess. Doing a trip with half the cast this late in the filming period is a dead giveaway that they think they don't have enough in the can to edit together a cohesive season.

Likely. Though I enjoyed the original format like Season 1/2 of OC when the bulk of the show was following each woman individually. It was more honest and realistic.

But I thought that it was revealed that other than LVP, all the cast did go on the trip?

In any case, yep. Time for a trailer.

Finale done...it wrapped up a lot, thank goodness, but it also left so many things undone. There's something about this show that seems like it's a mix of ideas that never fully come together and therefore nothing ever really gets resolved and wrapped up properly.

The biggest flaw was that it didn't deal with either of Joan's characters at all, which is shame because she was an absolute highlight.

Ryan Murphy is capable of really cohesive shows (I loved Feud) but AHS is a mess...and apparently it's always like this. However, it gave Joan's Hollywood profile a major boost. And for that, I will be grateful she was given the opportunity to shimmer and shine like the star she is.

That's how I felt once I was done with HOTEL...a lot going on and wondering how they would resolve it all at the end. Or even if it would.

Last night's finale I thought did it full circle. And I'm sure @ChitHappens will be happy at who showed up. LOL!!! It was like everyone fans thought were missing showed up this season so :)

I thought it explained everything very well...especially Mallory's speech about energy and how it was such a foreshadow once she said it to me, but that's how my writer mind works. And then the ending...lol.

But I thought it was a really good season and might be back next year.

PS. Same on Dame Joan. I LOVE that everyone 25 and under have a 'new' diva to worship out of the season and watching Twitter educate ALL of them about who Joan Collins is has been a highlight for me.
