I didn't realize I said does. I meant doesn't ruffle feathers. My bad. lol. I understand that. I don't really have any complaints. YET. Any complaints I would have, the show IRT has heard and correct (re: the lights) to my knowledge. And it's not like Y&R where they benched their best current story out of the blue or GH where it's uneven in the worst ways possible IMHO. One of these days I'm going to sit down and watch Edge of Night if it's available around when I do. From all of the comments, I've seen, it seems like it would be my kind of a soap to follow. And definitely have always love the name. Did you just shade Dani? 😜 I happen to fall in line with what Vee and Ranger have said for the most part. But like I said before...some weeks (and scripts cuz I love Jazmen's scripts and Sara Bibel's backdown it seems) are better than others, but outside of the Martin's secret storyline and Anita's story, it does not feel like other soaps where there's clear stalling going on. I am aware that it's a new soap. As well of my own perspective on it and mindful of others' opinions around it. Personally...and I have said it before, I am sure I will feel a different way at 1) end of May Sweeps, 2) end of summer, and definitely 3) end of year. I watch day to day and some stories are working for me more than others, but I don't outright hate anyone/anything on the show. YET. There's definitely room to grow and a willingness from production to grow. I really can't wait until we get to the episodes that were filmed after MVJ and Co. got to hear feedback from online and elsewhere to see how they adjust. Until then, I'm enjoying the ride. And if today's cliffhanger is any sign...we are about to get our second full climax (or first depending on how you look at it) to a main plot in the Nicole/Ted/SilkPress Sheila storyline.- Y&R: April 2025 Discussion Thread
4-16 I've already gotten off to another busy week so I OOPS and forgot to watch yesterday's and it's gone. Thank you, CBS. But maybe that's a good thing since I heard that Traci did not in fact have dinner with Amy ON SCREEN. How dare they! I was actually looking forward to Amy interacting with someone that was around when she was originally on the show. That said...I have to admit that this episode was pretty good. And let me start with what I said yesterday...VA-VA-VOOM, AUDRA!!!! She was looking hot AF for her dinner where she revealed to Nate that she was working for Victor again. In fact, I felt wardrobe was pretty good other than Kyle's suit which did not look as tailored as I was used to it being. Victor was Victor-ing and that I enjoyed. All the drama with the agent within Jabot was intriguing. And I was surprised they showed the guy ON SCREEN. And now Jack/Kyle are going to try to use him as a double agent. Will we be seeing that on screen as well? I hate to say that, but it has been a different variation to the usual Victor vs Jack storyline for me, and I am curious to see where it goes. And just the fact this latest mess is all because of Nikki and Jack's night in the hotel room. Mileage. And then Victor playing the long game on Billy since he knows Dumas is working with him. And that causes Billy to lose? Then YES, PLEASE. I don't like that Audra is working with Victor. And the plan is silly. That said, I did love that they played this beat of Nate being told. At least, Audra told him. Just another stepping stone though in breaking them up I fear. And speaking of someone who wants them broken up...Holden was looking like a snack. And here comes Claire again. I guess it says something (don't hate me @slick jones ) that Claire lights up more with him than she does with Kyle. And Kyle is oooooo so jealous of Holden. Who...has done nothing, but obsess over Audra. Damian was looking like a snack, too. And I enjoyed his dinner with Lily. And of course, he got to flirt a little. And uh oh at Devon feeling a way now when it was Lily at first. It was nice to see all parts of the Damian storyline present. And it was alongside all the other stories (even Traci's story got a shoutout). I wish JG could balance better. But at least this episode was good.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I went back and rewatched. I guess I misheard. lol. Never mind. She definitely said that in the YT Confessional which was a good video. I am sad to see them on the outs again, but seeing how Cynthia has been moving online leading up to Episode 5, I can see why they might be on the outs again. Add on to the online Garcelle/Sutton break-up mess...and it hurts my heart. I also feel vindicated that Kenya DID in fact go to Production as soon as the incident happened...same as what happened with Porsha. And it reminded me also of Karen going to HR about Candiace in S5 RHOP. So...there IS a higher up department for these shows. So the fact that Production did edit out a line, but kept so much in I found telling.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Well darn! I was hoping there would be more conflict in Dani's choice of jobs given how she was acting. And Yaaasss to Silk Press Sheila being the cliffhanger for today. More signs that the storyline will finally come to a head. Which I was already enjoying.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Yassss to Anita having a hint of a story!!! I must admit that I have been enjoying this friction between her and Vernon the last few days. Thank you. If there is anything that I'm learning over the last few weeks due to RHOBH which I no longer watch, but did tune in for the reunion due to Garcelle's exit...it is the need to know when people have opinions that I might not agree with and...just scrolling on down the page. Or a block. Some of those online Garcelle haters are crazy. I have a friend who does not like her, but he always has sound comments about her. And another friend loves her, but will also call her out when she's being up to no good. All good perspectives in my humble opinion even if I don't always agree. But going back to the show...I know Bill is not trying to use Tomas like a double agent!!! And I do like what Hayley had on. I'm curious about where they will have Dani go. Well, job-wise.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Well I can't speak for anybody else, but like I said yesterday I am very aware that my perspective will differ from others. But I do like slow burns and actual storytelling. I give credit where it's due as well as call a spade a spade (as anyone who has been in the GH thread over the last year know VERY well...complete with a disclaimer when I hit the writer run in question ) so I hope that the fact that my perspective appears 'Pollyanna' versus what my perspective actually is does ruffle feathers. And with that in mind...ON WITH THE SHOW!!! And I already can see that @kalbir is going to eat up those Dani/Andre scenes. And not alone because they continue to give an adult...what is it called situationship. And so it begins. And I loved that fade cut when Sherri walked into the country club. And not her getting that manager fired. And oh no, she's onto Eva!!! Haha.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Very much this.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
That was not the only thing he was packaging for most of the episode today. And to echo off another post...yeah two months in...I clearly don't expect too much yet. And I have definitely given some less than good writers more grace than what I've been observing here. But again...I know and accept my perspective and love of slow burns will differ versus others' thresholds.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOA Them Detroit girls...LOL!!! I thought it was a good episode when it WASN'T focused on Porsha. With Kenya out the door, it's up to Porsha to be that vet that carries the show. And it is just flopping. No wonder Production and Bravo had to go ahead and release a new Shady Phae Phae midseason promo. And her inviting other girls (including FOH Monyetta) to audition on the Nashville trip was so telling. She can't carry. But who is ACTUALLY carrying? Drew and Angela. Drew continued to show the divorce mess with Ralph, and she's selling it. Though it helps that Tampa Ralph is a total prick. And then you have Angela stirring that pot like she's a rich Sheree. She ain't backing down to NOBODY as she brought Drew on the trip, didn't let Brit use her as Target Number 2, and handled that attempt gang-up at the end like she been on this show forever. YES, PLEASE. As for Nashville...my feelings are going to be bias since my first serious relationship was with my Russian ex who was living there and going to Vanderbilt. So I love the city even after the break-up. And that it is the setting for Porsha's birthday is just mixed feelings for me. Because she's not as important as she thinks she is. Though I liked what she worn. And I liked a lot of the fun shade surrounding the trip so far like Angela being late, the bull scenes, and just turning up. And then Porsha took the fun to Hades by jumping on one of her friends who is auditioning trying to start a rumor about Drew. Too soon after the Kenya/Brit drama I might add. PORSHA. Honestly? I was excited to see her with Kenya. Such a full circle moment. What I'm not excited about is Porsha being like how she was before she left. And that is how she is acting. From her claiming to not have a problem with Drew when she is doing all she can to have a problem with Drew to doing a Regina George on Angela, she is not doing me any favor to like her or be on her side. It is just falling flat. And to newbies? smh. At least her fashion has been good. DREW. Putting in the work. I know that I mentioned that I finished last season right before this season started airing. So I am wanting to see where her divorce storyline will go. And even through her delusional behavior at times, I felt she gave some truth. Back then. And even now. The court scenes were something else. I could sympathize with her wanting to keep the files sealed because people can and will read them with the quickness and her worries about how her kids will be affected. Tampa Ralph was trash...dancing with glee that his broke butt would still be in the basement, but not showing any worry for his own kids. I couldn't with him and her going off was also relatable. But she ain't a saint, either, cuz her and Allison (who I'm always happy to see in the tradition of Cynthia and Mallory) going to Dennis's lounge of all places = MESSS!!! Also mess? Was her taking Brit to that dinner and being a little baby Kenya by asking the questions we wanted to know...especially since Brit only brought her to get her on HER side against Angela. And her 'did you sell it? sell it? your cat.' took me out. I'm so invested, I cannot wait for her to react to the rumor being spoken on her next week. SHAMEA. Her and those boots!!! lol. Otherwise, she was just good for reactions this time around. And even that...I have been liking Shamea so far this season and don't want her going back to being Porsha's Minion # 1 to Kelli's Porsha's Minion # 2. KELLI. Love the new Confessional. Hollered at her fun shade at Angela missing the flight. And I enjoyed her and her daughter scenes. But she was kinda background to me this episode. BRIT. Ugh. First of all, if we don't stop making her the start of each episode. I said it Sunday, and I'll say it now...Production...STOP TRYING TO MAKE FETCH HAPPEN. Not only is her story consistently changing, but her actions are consistent with the way she is trying NOT to look. The lack of self-awareness. Second of all, say what you want about Angela, but at last Angela brought up her questions and thoughts to Brit's face. There was no reason for Brit to start a rumor about Charles in her Confessional. Finally, I don't like that just like with Kenya, girl is trying her best to start drama. This time with Angela. Who had no problem EITHER giving her a hug and hello. And Angela was so unbothered, checked Brit, and kept it moving on when she arrived. Brit...faded into the background for the rest of the episode. ANGELA. OMG! Yes, Angela, yes you are. She moved up the ranks of newbies for me. She stirred that pot like a pro. She got Drew invited onto the trip. She admitted that she invited Drew in front of EVERYONE. She paid Brit dust for last week. She refused to bow down to Porsha. And kept it all classy AND with a sense of humor. And her last Confessional aka 12 size shoes was EVERYTHING. And best of all, she ain't wrong. Clearly, Porsha wanted an audience. Angela simply gave her a show of air. I LIVE. Let's see if I like next week then... She should have never turned against Karen. But seriously once she fell out with Gizelle and Gizelle started to play chess with her, it was going to be curtains. Oh, well. Same. I felt she was not given a fair shake so late in the season so I'm all for her coming back. Most (not all) housewives deserve a second season usually to get a true feel for them. Though since her drama was the fact that man clearly did not want to film, I do wonder what we will get.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
If anything, I take it the gambling storyline will end by end of May because Guza will be dealing with the mob/gangster side of said storyline.- Y&R: April 2025 Discussion Thread
HELL-HO, AUDRA!!! VA-VA-VOOM!!!- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
I mean if Kevin is going to do better than Sonny is doing these days...well...*sips* hehe- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Indeed...the only mutual people Joey and Doug have in common so far is Randy and Vanessa. And I'm sure Joey would have said his name. So the plot thickens. So far (cuz I'm rewatching), I would say no. But it seems like it's doing quick primetime cuts for the breaks. And I did feel the ending was awkward when I watched earlier. But I know I'm in the minority when it comes to the cuts.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Very. Crossed with Blair Waldorf. So ready. That feud continues to give. And Tomas SHOULD know better.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
That was a pretty good performance. Wait. Does that mean that Joey is working for someone else that is trying to get to Doug? Eva continues to give SMG Kendall Hart and I love every minute of it. Same. Can't wait to watch it later.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Ooooo not Anita throwing that other side of her at Vernon like that. How unexpectedly vicious. And @ReddFoxx I think you were right last week because it ain't the case today with what's under the hood and it shows. In more ways than one.- DAYS: Cwikly/Ford (the new writing team) interviews with spoilers
Thank you for this. I figured that they would want to repair the damage RC did to Bo/Hope so I'm all for that.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
To be fair...judging from the scene in the trailer...they did. That's why I was pointed in mentioning that the scene appeared to be cut if they are moving past Kenya. I even think they pulled a S5 RHOP Cha Cha at Wendy's event on Kenya because I want to say the scene did appear last week with the same outfits but no Kenya in sight though she was there. Which might explain why that episode last week was so disjointed.- BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Walking into the episode and the first thing I see is karaoke. And thought about all the people here that don't like singing episodes. And myself like liking karaoke for the most person for personal reasons and only to support my friends who have karaoke nights. Though I loved seeing Anita's reaction at Naomi and Dani calling her out. Such a black mama look. lol. And oooooooooo the HAVE-NOTS!!!! And awww hell no...not Eva with Tomas when Kat is not around. uh oh now.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOA All this talk about Kenya and I still haven't even talked about last episode and its aftermath. LOL. I agree with the majority. It was a pretty good episode, but it was also disjointed at the same time. All the stuff having to do with the aftermath fell flat for me. Why? Because it was Production selling Brit the Victim...which does not fly for me because I'm Team Kenya and saw what went down. And Brit did not help her case at all by episode's end when she did exactly what she did before...just on another cast member. Victim...WHERE?? Not to mention not having Kenya's point of view. Outside of that, the episode got going. I enjoyed seeing the individual scenes...some more than others. And then we had Kelli's Peace Brunch which was anything, but. And Brit vs Angela...Lord. Ms. Angela...had me hollering. And the ending with the dancing just left a sour taste in my mouth. So it's case by case for me going forward. PORSHA. She should be worried. She did not do anything worthwhile this episode. And then she bowed out of the Peach Brunch. And the audience got to see what the show would be like without her...and...it was GOOD. And this was all newbies and two vets doing great without the 'star.' Again, she should be worried. DREW. Yeah, her dress at the Peach Brunch was a NO. But I loved that she got her little digs in on Brit. Cuz Brit stayed using Kenya's phrases rather than make her own 'moments.' Just saying. Meanwhile, we got a little bit of drama with her and Tampa Ralph. And nice to see her sister. SHAMEA. Hehe...not her and Angela tag-teaming Brit. I did love that. But while I felt the dancing at the end fell flat, I did love that Shamea was trying to be peacemaker. KELLI. I loved her Peace Brunch. She had it so organized. And she had SECURITY! Come through, Baby Kenya!! My only sadness for her was the fact she was being a good friend to a bad person. And her storyline with her ex-husband. Poor Chloe. I was just sad for her that that 'man' is such a dead-beat to treat a child like that. ANGELA. OMG!!! I knew she was going to be a dark horse, but WOOOOOW. She was EVERYTHING this episode. Her poking holes in Brit's attempts to smear Kenya's name more was superb. And then she started to gather her with the insurance tea. And then her 'thought so' took me out. She was so enjoyable. BRIT. Outside of her admitting to the scrubbing...which is just common sense frankly...I was not here for her and Production damage control. Moreso because she's either lying or just doubling down period rather than her taking her own kind of accountability. Not helped by her trying to play victim in order to deflect for the parts of the incident that are HER fault. And to make it worse...she still keeps the name 'Kenya' in her mouth. Usually every other sentence. Everyone else in the cast moved on enough that they can focus on their own stories. Meanwhile...Brit don't have jack other than a 'feud.' I loved Angela calling her out. KENYA. So they cut the rest of her scenes I see. Let's see where tonight goes...- GH: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Very. I always liked Megan Ward as an actress and to see her on a soap...I liked. She was definitely a different kind of woman for Sonny than I was used to. And different from Brenda who, along with Carly, will always reign supreme above all of Sonny's many women. The fact that the writers finally created a woman who stood out for those two was a marvel. And then it went to Hades.- B&B: April 2025 Discussion Thread
4-15 Lord...the dialogue on this show. For all the good dialogue in the Poppy/Sheila catfight, there was the silliness of it in the Will/Luna and Daphne/Carter scenes. And Brooke talking about having class? GIRL, BYE. lol. I don't know. I felt that having Poppy and Sheila getting closer before she found out Finn was Luna's father was obvious set-up for this moment. And what was Poppy thinking? It's SHEILA. LOL. And she gave fair warning and Poppy had to slap her twice. smh. And other than the ending with a cake fight, it was giving. So sad it went silly at the end. Ugh. Shut up, Taylee. It almost makes me want Brooke to take Ridge back out of spite. That said...I didn't like Brooke eavesdropping and then thought she was going to confront Daphne. GIRL, BYE. Will/Electra was just typical B&B silliness. And all I could think was that either Will is going to get drugged. Or he will fall for Luna's wiles. But...so far, so good.- Y&R: April 2025 Discussion Thread
4-14 I thought it was decent. What continues to fascinate me is the growing friendship with Sharon and Phyllis. I shouldn't even be interested, but yet I find myself in spite of it. And their thing with the hug was funny. Again, if they keep going in new directions I will probably keep me hooked. I did like the coda with Traci and the two of them. It was nice to get some aftermath. That said, I don't like that Traci is leaving home to recover. I would rather see her recover in town. SHUT UP, VICTORIA. Let Nick and Sharon be.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I listened last night and I felt she addressed everything (to date) that needed to be addressed because quite a few people are running around like Chicken Little just speaking to speak and it was getting highly annoying to watch such misinformation out and about and people being willingly obtuse just because they hate Kenya. I liked being vindicated in the fact that YES she did go to Production. I don't even see why anyone would be surprised...especially people who have always watched RHOA...since Kenya does have a history of doing the legal/professional thing behind the scenes first. Because these shows do have an HR department. Interesting and also not surprising at the same time, Production DID edit down the scene at the Bank dinner. I felt she did everything right even if it means she is NEVER coming back to RHOA. And she might have a future as a show host because I found her very entertaining. - BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
