I would give Johnny a bit of grace on this because it was such a huge bombshell and he really was only hearing for the very first time. I think the show has lacked giving Johnny connections outside of Dimera land. He does interact with Marlena, but not much with Will, John, Belle, Brady, Eric, Roman, etc. etc.

I personally didn't think the reveal to Johnny was bad or even that CB was bad. It's been about an hour give Johnny some time to process. I do think this story is missing a lot of notable players like obviously Sami, but also Will, Allie, Lucas, and still not cast Sydney.

So, yes, they can't afford it, but just think of how often they could use it. A set of weights and a bench can't be much more than EJ's shirt he was wearing today. Although I strongly believe Days buys every designer piece off season at Nordstrom Rack and nothing costs as much as worn on tv says it does lol.

I think it's more odd all these men just work out in their living rooms lol. Doug, Alex, Xander, and Phillip have all been shown just working out on their floors in their homes or hotel rooms. Just like get a gym set Days or at least pretend these guys are leaving the gym.

All of that speculation weirdly makes more sense lol. I never really got why Valentin needed Lulu's embryo/eggs specifically. He hasn't shown any romantic interest in her that I recall. That was all Stavros. I am sure it was some sort of larger Cassadine/Spencer plan but zzzzzzzzzzzzz... The show also goes back and forth on Charlotte as a character. Wasn't she always a little psycho? Wasn't Willow her teacher that noted she bullied other kids? Charlotte isn't misunderstood-she's kinda evil. Go with that show and kill her off or just make her not Lulu's anymore.

100%. The show goes out of its way to keep these two when there is truly an easy way out to get rid of both of them. They don't add to the show. Lulu doesn't need a teenage daughter that was formed in a test tube. And, yes, JPS always comes off creepy to me too. Grooming/Gaslighting were both words I was contemplating in my head, but I know some girls are just closer to their fathers than I am. Their relationship is very strange though.

It comes off almost creepy. Honestly the Valentin/Charlotte relationship is just odd. I don't know exactly the right term to use, but he has Charlotte so warped in the head that she thinks Valentin needs her at all times. It's not incestuous, but the manipulation is strong there.

I still think this should have been Lucas's moment, but Kate works. I really am curious how Sami explained the twins having different fathers to them now. Lol.

Absolutely. Too many losses. Josh T. looks mostly the same as he always has and fairly healthy so maybe he got a new pair of dentures or some tooth work done. ETA-that's not shade. I have veneers on my front teeth and sounded slurry for a week after and I was in perfect health lol.

Josh Taylor was unusually hard to understand today. He's always mumbled but I am so used to it I can generally get what he is saying. I hope he is doing okay health wise.

BTG moves so much quicker. I still struggle with figuring out who is related to who because the kids look way old lol. I actually have to pay attention to BTG or I might miss something. I can have GH in the background for an hour and glance up a few times and be 100% caught up. I cut Days a lot more slack because they have a $5 budget, I can watch it any time I feel like it, and they got rid of Ron. Gh has a talented cast and still looks decent. They should be producing better material daily but with Frank still at the helm I have little hope for change.

I mostly find myself forgetting about some stories or losing interest just because they drag so long. There is no sense of urgency with GH's writing. It just plods along. I would say at least two days a week episodes feel like filler or padding. That is a problem a lot of soaps face. I just feel like GH has an ability to suck any potential drama out of stories for whatever reason.

As much as I don't mind Roman telling Johnny the truth, I will always feel like this is Lucas's moment and secret to share. Roman's been mostly okay with EJ for years. It's strange for him to be the one to deliver the news even if Sami is his daughter. I know the show has no use for BD or Lucas. I just always thought he would be the one to spill the beans.

Oh, there is definitely a case to rest many characters including Sonny and Carly, who are both not doing much to advance story these days. Although it will never happen. It would be wise if GH took notes from BTG and took some risks. We've been saying this for years though. GH isn't a bad show day to day and doesn't hit the lows Days does. It just coasts on the same old same old year after year.

I agree about Ava completely. I have always enjoyed her much more when she was a villain. I could still sympathize with her sometimes, but she's lost most of her bite at this point. Ric/Ava is a good idea in theory. Like you said it just really is B or C level. It hasn't progressed much and it has the same pacing problems GH always does. I think it was a huge mistake to cut Nina out of the Willow/Drew pairing. The whole story would be even better if Drew and Nina just couldn't control themselves and were still sleeping together despite trying to stay away from one another. Then Nina shoots or kills Drew after going a bit crazy from jealousy or guilt and Nina can be shipped off to jail for a while. I really don't see the harm in cutting Nina or Ava for a bit. It's not like the show can't bring the characters back. It helps keep the characters fresh instead of aimlessly running around town year after year just because MW and CW are talented and popular.

I thought CW was good as Vicky too! Granted I am not the biggest Jensen or AW fan, but I actually tuned in to watch her and was impressed. I recall it was longer than a week though, maybe that's just how long CW taped for. I feel like the momentum the characters had under PM is lost though. Both actresses are capable of more, but Ava and Nina really don't have that much going on. I truly believe Nina as a character has run its course. I'd probably keep Ava for now and rest Nina at least temporarily. Although I wouldn't be shocked if Nina ends up back with Sonny after this whole Eva La Rue experiment ends.

The aging of the kids is never going to make sense. Belle and Phillip were born years after Stephanie and Alex. Brady was born a few months before Abby. Shawn D is approximately the right age and does not have an adult granddaughter. Just Claire the adult daughter and Belle/Shawn were pretty young when she was born. Phillip was the golden child and should be the heir IMO. He just kept doing stupid things. Both Phillip and Xander have some previous experience running Titan. More Phillip than Xander, but Phillip also was a marine and has a fake leg so that was a career disruption on the business end.

I feel like Nina was pretty vital when she was paired with Sonny too. I disliked the pairing, although I really think it had some fans and it was completely dropped. I know people will come for me, but I do think Ava/Nina tend to cancel one another out and there isn't enough material for the both of them. Fine by me!

Thanks! I assumed it was someone vaguely "famous". I don't watch the Bachelor at all. I wonder if anyone would actually tune in just to see someone that lost a reality show though lol. I have long said Nina was useless, but I did like her during PM's brief tenure and the Drew/Nina affair. I would honestly just have Nina go crazy and leave at this point. Get CW some emmy worthy material and just drop the character.

I think a Sophia baby, a Joy baby, and a Jada baby is a lot of babies in this moment lol. I actually wouldn't mind Shawn having another kid or Rafe finally get a first one though.
