If the show didn't actively name check Rochester I would have assumed that's basically what Port Charles was. I don't get small town vibes from it at all just due to the major hospitals, airports, college, trade, etc. they have there.

She was just weirdly boxed in with Bo as his other love. The show was able to transition Kristen elsewhere, so I am not sure why they couldn't do it with Billie. I guess they did have a sizable fanbase and she was always used as a foil for Bo/Hope. The writers just never got Billie after LR's initial run.

LR was fabulous as Billie, but I don't think anyone could make her stay. She was super popular. She beat my queen Vanessa for best newcomer at the SOD awards. She clearly had other offers and if we have learned anything from RHOBH, Lisa Rinna hustles lol. It's weird they kept trying to pair Billie with other halves of supercouples like Roman, Patch, even vaguely Jack. KA got that hottie VW as Nicki Alamain, but shared him with Kate and slept with her daughters boyfriend lol. I just don't think they ever gave Billie a fair shot with a viable love interest, but it may have been more a recast issue than a Billie issue.

Yes! It worked well with the Hattie story. Andrea Hall is less refined than Deidre in mannerisms and as I think @beebs pointed out, she can't really act and misses her lines constantly. It worked for that story and it's a shame it went nowhere because it had potential. I thought RKK's Bo and LR's Billie were fire. Loved them (secretly more than Bo/Hope, but I don't like Hope that much). It's weird they really never tried Billie with anyone else.

🤣She's fake killing Tony/Andre here. Although I do think Marlena is awesome enough to perform her own botox on herself. They look like siblings not even twins. And they don't even have the same mannerisms. Like someone pointed out, their voices are different and it's true. Don's an idiot.

I understand most people hate LR because of Housewives, but she has a rocking body and it was the silliest thing to hide her in a uniform. Also, I have never been sold on Billie as a cop/ISA agent. A cosmetics creator? Sure, but not a cop or stealthy spy. I honestly do love LR as Billie and think she was great in Beyond Salem. 🤷‍♀️ I was bored. Marlena's evolution into ugly, boxy blazers is more exciting than 95% of the show. Her plastic surgery is something to be studied.

Listen, most days I wish Sami was successful in her scheme to give Belle away. Or hope the Belle we know now is the wrong child and the real Belle Black is out there and much cooler, but their ages are really silly these days. I think everyone knows I am not Kirsten Storms #1 fan, but she looks and reads much younger than MM and Ali Sweeney even with her struggles the last few years. I love that they still reference the affair, but I don't know how you can look at Belle and Sami and hear about the kidnapping with a straight face.

I get your point. I guess I should have said I can't bring myself to care 😂. Joss/Cam do have a right to be upset. It's just not the end of the world they are making it out to be. It's a sex tape between two adults in a committed relationship. It's embarrassing, but it's not overly raunchy or dirty (I don't think lol). I think PC is at least a medium size town. Any town with an international airport and college isn't small lol. I always assumed it was similar in size to Buffalo/Rochester.

If there's a version out there that's not behind a pay wall I am in. It's like 5 bucks to "rent" and although it's an iconic piece of work, I am not sure even I feel comfortable paying to watch it.😂

Agree about the facial work for sure. Deidre looks very natural as opposed to other actresses in her age range. I think Susan is just super tiny and Deidre isn't fat or anything but more normal sized and the same things would not look good on her. The butch look is awful, but I think it's a self conscious thing. Look how tiny DH was 10 years ago compared to now. I mean, same, I was much tinier 10 years ago as well, but I do think she feels the need to cover up more now. And, listen, at 75 I would do whatever the [!@#$%^&*] I wanted too. I just don't think it's the most flattering, but John's still into it so whatever I guess lol. Deidre is just a very classic icy, blonde, old school beauty and she doesn't work into that. I mean she's older than my grandma, but she seems to want to go boxy and butch with her clothing choice, while always wearing high heels.

I hate Deidre's blazers and pleather jackets and I think she can pull of dresses, but it may be a vanity thing with her skin or something because she has always had some sun damage. Deidre is tall- 5'7" but Suzanne is listed as the same height on the internet and the Rockette's have a height standard, so I think that's approximately right. I think Kate dresses so young, but it sorta works and she does have a lot of sex appeal. I never have thought DH or SZ exuded that but could with specific screen partners. I mean the fact Marlena had sex on a conference table makes me think she is down and Maggie got hers as well lol. John/Marlena were fire hot in their day, although I don't think Marlena exudes that sexuality the way that Kate does, but it is character specific. Kate has a more slinky, I have been through it all way of acting. I don't think Kayla, Kim, Jen, Adrienne, Melissa, Belle, Sami, etc. exude hotness either but they found the right pairing to make them sexy. I would say someone like LR's Billie, CC's Carly, and ED's Kristen exuded sexiness. I don't even think KA's Hope did. She was gorgeous but sort of cold.

Lol! I need a soft focus lense for my mirrors. DH still looks great. Her face is fabulous still. Her work is Lucci level, but I do think the wardrobe she chooses ages her more than anything physical. I really don't think that matters much anymore though. She definitely still projects younger than Julie/Maggie, not by much, but I can buy she can fight of the devil. That being said, I think LK projects way, way younger than her age and I hate her wardrobe but if someone told me Kate was 55* I would believe it. *I am also the worst at telling peoples ages. If you told me Deidre was 60 I would totally believe that too.

I just think in the 90's and early 2000's John did look younger than Marlena and that was the show's way of dealing with it. Now, I think John looks older lol. I really can't even recall a Brady/Will scene ever lol.

Her work is good. You can look at her twin to see the aging process. They also used to have a foggy glaze over the lense when they shot her in the 90's and early 2000's-at least in my mind. DH looked like she had no wrinkles lol I have no problem with them being gay superheroes, but something else should have brought them to town. And then they fell into the Craig stuff. Are Brady and Will even close? I can't remember them ever really having meaningful scenes. But Brady moves in and out of being a Kiriakis and Black/Brady all the time, so it's hard to say.

I have said that all along. It's weird. Do they care about Chloe/Craig that much? But when you look at how badly Leo did Sonny/Will wrong it can vaguely make sense that they are out for revenge-not so much for Craig. I DO NOT believe Will would miss Marlena's exorcism though because they are so close.

Cameron/Joss fumbling around for their first time missionary style might be a niche porn thing, but I doubt it's that big of a deal. Like everyone said, in the age of being able to get porn everywhere, I doubt their milquetoast love making would even cause a stir. I guess it's embarrassing, but it's terribly boring overall.

It does right? Ali does have more of a baby face, but we watched her grow up, so I know how old she should be. I am no fan of Belle and never have been, so to me MM always looked too old for the part, but yet too young to be Claire's mom lol. It just will never work right for the part of Belle although it's too late now to change it. It is what it is, but they never should have aged a character that had such a critical timeline of birth. EJ might be the most egregious case of SORASing, but you can reference his birth without giving any sort of age or timeline really. When Belle yells at Sami for kidnapping her as a baby you think Sami must have crawled out of her crib to do so lol. Re: today's show- Johnny referred to Belle as his "cool" aunt. Shade on Carrie. Obviously, Sami has poisoned Johnny's mind. Carrie will always be cooler than Belle.

Belle's aging will always be problematic, especially since they reference the babynapping all the time..and MM looking the same age as AS doesn't help. Lol! I just googled it and they are only a year apart. And Martha doesn't read younger than her age. She doesn't look bad or anything-she just doesn't look like she's younger than her 40's. And the last iteration of Claire was about 30 as well.

I think it was a specific choice for Julie (perhaps some of her off screen antics back then?) and I am not completely sure having a grandchild aged her as much as the show made it out to be. I think Hope's aging made her feel much older with Doug/Julie playing stern parents. Marlena had a grandchild about a year after her own daughter's birth. Sami was a grandma in her 30's, but it was a decade or two later. I am fine with Marlena aging vaguely. Again, I think she was too old when she arrived just to be paired with Don so it wasn't creepy, so I was fine with backing off on the aging. They have stated Marlena's age though a few times in 86 RoJohn said she was 35 and in 1999 they said she was 50, so the show did kind of follow DH's age for a bit, but I am fine with ageless lol. I assume Sami is 45ish and Carrie a little closer to 50, but then I assume Belle is in her 40's as well which isn't right and Brady looks the same age as Sami, Eric, Carrie, so I am not sure. That does throw off Marlena and John's age though because Sami/Eric/Carrie weren't born when John was 20 lol-even if he's not Roman-I assume they are at least close in age.

Umm..yeah. Marlena was claiming to be an older mom 12 years earlier with Belle. I would allow a 1997/98 Jarlena pregnancy, but not a 50 plus Roman/Marlena pregnancy in 2005 having sex one time. Deidre Hall is ageless and fabulous, but she wasn't on the right side of 50 on that one lol. Although I will say DH looked stunning from 2005-2006 with the longer hair during the Alex North story.

DH had a sort of timeless quality in the 80's that she could play 30-35 for an entire decade and played about 40 for the next decade. Pairing her with Drake helped because he was younger as well and Roman's job made him an easy fit for action/adventure stories. The show wasn't wrong for investing in her. I always thought they made Marlena too old in the beginning (regardless of Dee's age) and I was fine with de-aging her. JC did not age well at all unfortunately. It did put SR in a corner because she looked much younger than him. SSH was hampered by the aging of her son and grandson, but also the pairing. Doug is much older than her. And while it's an obvious supercouple pairing, I can't see them fitting in well with the supercouple/action/adventure stories of the 80's.
