I have never heard anyone say that. With the first actress to play Lexie? Because John was John by the time Renee Jones took over. Interesting idea. I am probably crazy, but I swear I thought for a minute they might pair Abe/Marlena up between Roman/RoJohn after Richard Cates died. That's probably not true, but they were pretty close there for a bit.

I don't think Ciara was a bitch, but she had a weird reaction and I wasn't sure why. That's a fairly normal thing for a friend/family member to offer. Maybe she was weirded out because the clothes were clearly not for a newborn and for like a 2or 3 year old lol. I know. I know. She used to at least wear dresses or change it up. It's gotten worse over the years and they are always so ugly lol.

That's a choice lol. He seems very, very different from his Real World days so I am interested in what he is up to now. The one thing I wish the show would do is update us about the castmates quicker. It comes in pieces. Like Melissa mentions her children, but is she married/divorced/how old are the kids etc. I know nothing about Jamie and what he's doing. I honestly would like a quick catch up when they come back into the house to know where they are at in the beginning.

I am not going to lie, David/Tami was exhausting. I would have liked to see more about Beth S. I found her very interesting. But.......Irene isn't really that interesting. She made little impact on the original show to me and I wasn't clear why she wasn't invited back. And Jon was so guarded about his personal life that he wasn't giving anything away either. While I am interested in what they are doing Tami/David were good tv but it was uncomfortable to watch most of the time. Perhaps in the future they can add an episode or two to the season so important events don't get left out. And did anyone get a clear answer as to why NOLA David changed his name to Tokyo? He just tells the group he's "Tokyo" now but I never heard a reason why lol.

Yes. How easily you forget the epic tale of Virtual Garden of Eden. I actually do think Austin/Greta were a couple but that was during the time AP and JM were very vocal about their Christianity and pre-marital sex, so I just don't think it really advanced too much. Honestly, with Greta she was EVERYWHERE when she first appeared and then the show slowly lost interest in her. I actually think Eric/Greta was the better pairing though.

Yeah, Jamie probably didn't do much of anything other than be the hot, straight, party guy. Honestly, even seeing clips of Matt doesn't ring a bell for me. He is literally non-existent, but even 22 years ago I assume I just blocked out everything about him saying how religious he was and everyone else is sinning.

I remember liking Jamie alot but I assume that was solely based on looks because I can't remember a single thing he did on the show. Didn't he hook up with Melissa? lol. I don't mind him back. So far Matt is useless. To be fair, how was it ever NOT going to be the Tami show? Tami had the biggest arc on that season and she is a reality tv vet. She was going to always make it about her. I would have liked to see more of Jon/Irene, but let's be real-they are too normal and low key.

I like Kelly too. GO is one of my favorite movies of all time so Scott Wolf is a legend to me. I just wish the show would let Kelly and Jamie talk or be more present in the episodes because it was all about Julie the first few episodes and even though I like Julie, I think I like everyone in the cast more than her except for Matt, who I barely remember.

I obviously liked the flashback in that episode because it was new to me, but it just seemed so long lol. I guess it gave MC a break for the day. He had about 6 lines the entire episode. Like you said, I don't mind flashbacks, but it's the length. Only about 1/2 that episode was new material. Anyhow, I sound like an ungrateful person who is criticizing an episode that is rare and I am so glad I could watch it. I watched that AW scene mentioned about change/breaking a $10 and not only was it padding, but it was awkward padding. You could tell the actors were uncomfortable with it too. I can't imagine how bad the padding was in a 90 min episode.

Jason/Brenda would have been amazing at that particular moment and time. I have never shipped them any other time, but if the show kept VM it would have been great. It felt like such a welcome change from Sonny/Jax/Brenda. By 2010 the schtick of Jason/Brenda and the bickering felt old.

Lol! I think Jamie is still attractive but not the hottie he was. I wouldn't kick him out of bed. He's just visibly aged. Something about Matt is so off putting to me like he's trying too hard. "Guess how many kids I have?" Ugh. No one cares. I do think overly religious people on the Real World never come off well. They get really boxed into a corner with their beliefs, but that's why MTV hires them so IDK. I don't expect 3 months with strangers to change their entire belief system or anything but the most religious come off so overzealous they actually seem like they are hiding something.

IDK, apologizing on camera 22 years later seems false to me and I actually like Julie. I do think she was the "breakout" star of the show and let it go to her head. I used to think Jamie was sooooo hot. Not so much anymore, but, hey, we all age. I can't remember much about Matt either. Even with the clips they showed I was like "nope, don't remember you" lol

Jason and Brenda on GH. They could have been something good circa 2002.

I just think it's more of a theater thing with these early actors in soaps. They are selling to the cheap seats and haven't quite figured out a soap audience. I think Susan Flannery is subdued on Days (from what very little I have seen). SSH never really changed her style of acting and it does work for Julie most of the time. She's just a fiery character (no pun intended about the stove fire lol). She is just a different type of character from let's say Marlena, who is more reserved. Julie literally is hammy and OTT.

Lol! I sort of agree, but when the tag is we promise we are ending the Possession story it's fitting to have John/Marlena on the cover. They aren't even really involved.

From everything I have seen SSH has always been hammy. But it fit the times you know? I just don't think Susan ever scaled back so that's why everything seems OTT now. Although people like Deidre and Suzanne are much more subtle back then and are hammy now. I do think, and correct me if I am wrong, the 60's style of acting was much different than the 70's though.

ADA is a little out there for the age but we saw her actually going to law school and she wasn't just instantly a lawyer. My sister works in employment/employee defense so not nearly the same. But wasn't Molly exceptionally bright and possibly skipped a few grades or something? Idk, it doesn't bother me that much. But I get it. GH seems to be more realistic with their teen/young adult casting than in the past. They aren't casting Vanessa Marcil and Antonio Sabato Jr as 16 year olds these days lol.

Well, Julie admitted to writing the letter about Danny, so it wasn't the agents on that. Julie's story back then was very interesting with BYU and Mormonism, so I think she would be a better draw than Melissa. Although I think Melissa has 100% the better personality and does have a story to tell. I am thinking of optics at the time. Danny's story was so groundbreaking as well, but at the time I could see booking Julie as the easier option. I don't know, it seems more about Julie's lack of reaction for 22 years than money. And Julie's entitlement of just being forgiven because she said sorry a quarter century later is so off putting.

Both LA and HP look young for their roles, but so did KMc. Idk, maybe Alexis's daughters just look very youthful. HP is 23 so she is a little young, but my sister was a working lawyer at 24 so it's not crazy.

I don't think there is much point to replacing Pullos. She's been around this long and the show barely uses Molly. It would probably go the way of recasting Kristina. They realize their mistake, bring back the original, and never use her at all.

I don't really understand it all. Were they making that much money speaking? I do think her reps might have wrote the letters to get her all the jobs because that's what agents do. But.......Julie not reaching out and acting clueless for 20 years isn't a good look. Neither is her stealing Toyko (David's) exact words when apologizing or getting so drunk she's kicked out of a club. It seems she is still married, but the fact she called her mom instead of her husband when all the crap went down feels weird? She seems like a really unhappy person. Danny's trajectory is kind of sad. He seems to live a very secluded life.

I would have to agree 100%. VA was good, but Jordan was always a bit of a dud. I am not sure why we needed several recasts of this particular character.

I think you can obviously tell. It's clear these actors have a specific styling they prefer. I do think most of these actors are at least marginally skilled in doing their own hair and makeup because it's just the nature of the business. You just never see the elaborate up dos or anything really interesting because the actors are just doing their hair the way they normally do it I guess. I love hair and makeup, so I am probably just overthinking it all. But, for the love of Satan, can someone steer Deidre Hall away from flannels, ugly pantsuits, and pleather jackets? Will? Sonny? Leo? This looks great, but it has volume. The opposite of what Days usually does with her hair.

Honestly, that picture makes her hair look decent so I agree. Maybe she should have either short or long hair. The in between is not good. It seems like she has oily, thin hair which isn't the easiest to style and I am not even sure the how much the hair department even does these days with covid. Tbh, everyone's hair looks the same day in day out to the point I noticed Marlena had her hair curled on Tuesday lol. Allie tends to have some elaborate hairstyles, but I always thought LA might do it herself.
