I'll play the devil's advocate and say not for the current show. Eric is close enough in age to be at least believable. Even though the Sarah is older and Carrie's age-I feel like Carrie/Eric/Sami/Belle/Brady are all much closer in age than they should be. But I think everything else is so stupid, something less stupid starts making sense to me lol.

I don't think I am being over dramatic by saying today was one of the worst episodes of Days I have ever seen. WTF is this Sarah nonsense? What the hell are Maggie, Xander, Tony, Victor etc doing? Maggie blames Anna? Like who cares? You just gave your grown ass daughter crayons instead of getting her medical attention. All these people are placating her as a child, but telling her alarming information about her as an adult and no one is trained to do this. Yeah, Victor, I am sure Maggie has all the skills to get Sarah through this lol. And LG remains awful in every capacity. And Xander..... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess I'll marry Gwen now since Sarah is sick and won't recover. Seriously? How are we supposed to root for Xander/Sarah ever again (not that I did)? This episode made me wish I was watching Ben/Ciara's gender reveal instead.

I totally forgot she did the ghost version of Kate. Clearly MW was willing to appear all along-they used to trot her out once a month with Coleman. To be fair, she missed a lot of crap that happened to her character, so let's say she even read the synopsis of the DID story, how would anyone play that? Kelly Sullivan certainly couldn't do it in real time.

It's too bad. I really like MW's Kate. What a wasted, interesting character. Honestly, I would have hate to see MW play that silly DID story so I guess it worked out. For some reason I thought WK/RS's divorce was pretty acrimonious and, unlike the Wagners, they had very little contact outside their child. I am curious about the Finola question too. Interesting. Could it have been something pre-taped?

So, I believe Lisa herself said she read for the Lois recast then read again for a possible Brenda recast. TPTB may have just liked her and thought she was a better 'fit' for Sonny's first love or whatever. This issue with Megan Ward is always puzzling. The fans liked her, the character, her hair, her and Sonny. She was a hit and I felt it was Sonny's best romance outside of Carly/Brenda. Her story was good. Someone somewhere must have stepped in and clearly she was not asked back and the show went in an entirely different direction with the character. I wanted so much in 2010 for MW's Kate and Brenda to be snarky drinking buddies, but she didn't even get to meet her. If we could never get Rena back (I don't really watch B&B so I don't know how entrenched she is on that show), I would accept LLC. Honestly, do Rena and Wally even get along?

Well, she fills the same role Lois would anyway. I just don't think anyone could top the quirkiness Rena had. I think a lot of the things I loved about Rena's Lois wouldn't even work today. She was just a very specific Labine character and while I do think it's weird Lois isn't around for her daughter at all, I am sort of okay with the memories lol. But, yeah, Lisa would have been a good choice for Lois. Making her Lois-lite with a Sonny baby was a mistake.

I am pretty sure Ned pushed Brenda onto Jax by having her return the ring Lois got from him-hence Jax/Brenda's first scene with the pinball machine at the penthouse. It was all for a very short period of time and they shifted Jax completely to Brenda quickly. Jax was definitely serious about it at the very, very beginning, but the show must have found out RS was pregnant and/or leaving very soon after IR was cast because it was dropped fast. Although when they recast Lois with Lesli Kay-Jax did say Lois was the only woman he fell in love with at first sight, but it was in a joking sort of way. So maybe Lois was always the one that got away for Jax lol. I don't specifically remember IR and RS having any great chemistry. It could have been interesting I guess. IR definitely had much more with VM immediately.

Probably. As was the fact that Jax has the poofiest hair and a similarly ridiculous outfit on for the beach but Brenda decided she needed to make out with that right then lol. At least Ingo put on a speedo later on in the trip and that was worth it. I know GH used a special or famous house for that Malibu shoot and I used to see it on other shows and movies and always giggle they were using Jax's house. She didn't really. Brenda's deal was she would help Jax get Lois if Jax helped her make Sonny jealous. I think Brenda even told Ned/Lois about it. It was devious on Brenda's part to make Jax think she was going along with it, but she never really was. Nor did she think Jax would get Lois away from Ned. So basically Brenda's just been playing Jax since 1996 lol.. Idk, Jax never seemed that serious about the Lois thing, but he bought her a huge ring and would openly hit on her for a few months.

Lol! I question why a 21 or 22 year old woman would wear that even in 1996. With the chunky shoes, but Brenda did like a pantsuit back then. And Jax is wearing a beige and cream full ensemble. Normally, I would say it's just the era, but the show went out of their way to say they went shopping on Rodeo and that's what they got lol. I am sure it was popular back then, but it looks better suited for a career women in the 70's for sure.

😍😍 That pantsuit Brenda is wearing is the ugliest thing. I don't think it was cute even in 1996 I remember Jax blatantly hitting on Lois for a minute. In front of Ned like an ass. Part of Brenda/Jax's silly scheme was to make Sonny and Lois jealous by pretending to be together. Brenda/Jax did get married really quickly. I don't think they knew each other for more than 4 months lol. Jax had some pretty good wooing skills back then though.

I don't think Days has done organic conflict since like 1993, but I agree. I assume the devil wants the kid because it will be ridiculously good looking and probably dumb and slightly evil. Like why wouldn't the devil just take Henry when the devil is in Allie's body and the child was the product of rape and an evil man as well?

She probably just doesn't tell Ben she pays the bills and he does think their love is paying for their expenses lol.

The devil might be racist! Alliedevil was sorta speaking the truth though. She moved on way too quick from Tripp. She just said it in the cruelest way. If I were Chanel, I would literally just high tail it out of town and never look back! Shawn is so right. Find someone new Shawn-please. Here's the thing about Ciara's wardrobe. The dress is ugly-no question-but VK is wearing Free People, Reformation, Revolve, etc. dresses that are meant to be oversized. Not maternity. Super popular brands with cute, expensive clothes, but they aren't meant for that purpose, so I think they don't always fall right or look right at that far along in a 'pregnancy'. But that's the retail manager in me so ignore it. I just think the show is letting VK pick things that aren't the most flattering or appropriate because she's trendy IRL.

Works for me. Even if Farah appeared to usher Pocket on (and let's hope he does not go by Pocket anymore lol)-Phillip could devote his time to getting to know his son instead obsessing over a woman. I always liked Phillip/Stephanie. Maybe Stephanie could come back. At least Shawn was able to drop some truth bombs on Belle even though her attitude remains awful. Allie definitely is a better devil than Johnny was. Poor Chanel...

Agreed. I don't necessarily like what I've seen of Fath as a person, but I liked her as Mimi always. Honestly, they can just recast her with the actress they used on the web series if not. Days has more reliance on it's 80's star than any other soap and they never built up the next generations very well. I swear Days probably has the oldest median age of cast members on all soaps lol.

Yup. Pocket is still out there somewhere. Since Phillip has no children it would be great to bring him back, but I don't think Pocket's been mentioned since he left lol. He should probably be older than Allie/Johnny, but in that range.

I am always unclear if Ciara has a job. Does she work at Titan? Ben works at the garage still, right? There should be a lot more angst about Ben having a child and the financial responsibilities, but I guess the devil wanting to steal their child is bigger angst-even though much stupider. But Ben turning to sex work to support his family would be a plot point I could enjoy.

Why won't they just bring back Paul if they are splitting Will/Sonny up? Idk, what are they really going to do with Ciara/Ben? VK seems to tape a bunch of shows in a few days so Ciara can't really have a new romance and Ben will never be a viable love interest for anyone because he's a serial killer lol.

I like Mimi and don't hate FF as Mimi, but I don't think that's a popular opinion. There are a lot of things you could do with the character of Mimi. I assume Phillip will be back eventually. They can't pretend he's missing forever lol. Idk, bring them both back and it could shake up the Last Blast group. There are plenty of characters to ditch on this show to make room for the two of them

I wasn't thinking about all that lol. I was thinking more from the sibling perspective. I would think Brady would be much more sympathetic to his own sister's situation, but Brady is an idiot a lot. I was trying to think of people she could talk to because she doesn't really have any friends beside EJ lol. I know Chloe is her good friend, but have they even had a scene together since the web show?
