A Saving Grace During Your Soap’s Lowest Points
I feel like Robin/Patrick and KMC carried that show for years. Even if the Lisa Niles crap went on far too long their performances saved it. I remember it being the only good story during the Brenda/Balkan stuff. Patrick/Robin was the last supercoupley pairing GH had even though I did like early Dante/Lulu.

Her name always reminds me of Mean Girls when everyone pronounces Lindsay Lohan's character's name as Caddie and it's spelled the same way as Cady McClain's and she keeps correcting everyone that it's Katie.

I think it would have been better if she had more with Marci's Abby. I just don't feel that connection, so I felt Cady was struggling with that as well. And I don't think feel like that because I prefer Missy. FAIR. But we obviously need something to argue about until Monday.

It's so funny how people either think Cady was great or awful. It's so interesting how we can watch the same thing and have completely different takes. I think some of this is affection for Cady as a person and an actress who's done good work in the past. I felt like I was watching a bad high school play lol. I am pretty tolerant of acting on Days in general, so something has to be really bad for me to make a point of it. I guess everyone was trying. I just think Billy Flynn was the only one who was vaguely close to displaying the proper emotions in this and I still think Gabi's reaction was the most genuine.

All: character may be killed off
I mean, I find her dull as dirt, but objectively I don't think she's bad at acting lol.

All: character may be killed off
I think MM can act. She just tends to be a little boring and maybe miscast as Abby. She doesn't necessarily command my attention with her stage presence, but I think she's a decent actress.

I am going to disagree. She was bad. She was bad at the morgue and bad at the pub. I know Cady is a very capable actress, but this was terrible. I can cut her a little slack since she's a recast, but it was a big NO for me. I didn't really like Matt's take on this either, but Cady was the worst by far.

Bye Tripp! I liked you! I think Gabi had the most legit response to Abigail's death in all seriousness. I have always liked CB and this felt like the most realistic reaction to me. Also WTF is Brandon Barash's suit? It looked so cheap and awful lol

The Real World Homecoming: New York
They spent so much time on Jamie/Julie-which I don't even buy was a thing-that all the other cast members suffered. It made Kelley look anti-social and Kelley talked about her job, but what is her job? We only got bits and pieces of the rest of the cast and had to watch Julie run around in lululemon acting like a nut for 90% of the time.

The Real World Homecoming: New York
Thanks! This paints a very different picture. I think this is footage they needed to show. As a viewer who really liked Kelley, I was thinking she was freaking out about something that wasn't that big of a deal-and that the other castmates didn't seem to mind regarding Julie. And I thought Kelley was picking and choosing what excursions she went on when she was actually gone and it looked like she just left a day early lol. I would put Julie on a challenge honestly. To me she's more suited for that show than this reunion.

I just thought Cady played it very un-Jen like. I couldn't imagine Missy playing it like that and I think it the past CM has done a good job getting Jen's mannerisms down. It was too hysterical and over the top. If Days had any smarts they would have used Cady for the silly double wedding stuff and Missy for this or they should never have brought Missy back at all so we could get used to CM as Jen and see the Jen/Abby relationship between MM and CM. I thought Billy Flynn was fine. I don't think he's Olivier or anything, but I have always thought he was a pretty decent actor. You could tell he was really trying and I appreciate that because sometimes BF seems like he's coasting or really, really bored. And I have to agree about reactions to Abby's death. I am not sure we needed to see how Marlena, Susan and Belle reacted to it. There are other people on the canvas like Ben, Anna, Tony, Maggie, Doug, Julie, Gabi, etc who have/had more of a relationship with her.

Am I the only one that thought Cady McClain was not good today? She was trying, but I thought it was A LOT. This is a case where I actually think we needed Missy to get the emotions across. Not because she's a better actress, but because I think I would have felt more if it was Missy's Jen.

Actors who could/should have played other characters on their show.
I didn't find JT to be somber on GH, but I do think he's an odd fit for Billy. He honestly had more Billy "characteristics" as Patrick than he does actually playing Billy if that makes sense. I think you brought up Deidre Hall as Sanday Horton a few months ago. I have heard that a ton and the point is valid, but if DH's character was a Horton the show would have really been boxed in with everyone being related to one another. I think it seemed like a silly move at the time because making Marlena Sandy was obvious, but for the future of the show it actually helped that Marlena wasn't related to anyone. As it is, Claire is related to literally everyone her age on the show.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
It's so interesting to see how many characters Marlena is interacting with. The thing I used to love about Days is how everyone knew one another's business and was involved with one another. GH and Y&R always had people in separate bubbles that didn't often know one another or only peripherally did. Marlena's related to half the town these days and doesn't interact with as many people this year as she did in this clip lol. Unrelated, but Salemites really have great hair and makeup for the gym🤣

Ha ha! You both said the same thing. I know the Paulina/Lani murder storyline isn't over, but I don't consider it a mystery. We know Lani killed him. Do we need two murder stories? Probably not, but this is an actual who done it and I do think both stories are different. I mean, you both aren't wrong and I assume this story will be poorly done as well, but I consider Abigail's shocking murder a little more high stakes. We knew Ray was a goner from the start lol. The pacing on the show is a disaster but I think Abe/Paulina are on next week.

Sarah's having hallucinations as a side effect. She said she was having hallucinations of Kristen today. So it's possible she went to see Abby and had some sort of hallucination or episode and killed her by mistake. I think the fact Abigail is a legacy character born onscreen should pique more interest than Lani's new, abusive dad who we barely knew, but I don't know if the story will be any good. Yeah, I think you all are right about it being the Salem Inn, but with all these re used sets I never know. Agreed. And the excuse is he's black out drunk. I think most of us have done regrettable things while drunk, but it's a leap to suddenly become a violent murderer. And someone so drunk would have a difficult time stabbing and killing a completely sober person as well.

The thing is the walls aren't even closing in on Lucas. Sure, Clyde and EJ are suspicious, but Clyde had no proof and EJ is trying to get into Belle's pants at this point. No one else really cares about Sami's kidnapping including her parents, her children, her siblings, or the victim herself. It did. But I couldn't remember if the Pub rooms look similar. Again that is a lot of maneuvering everyone had to do in the span of an hour and half or however long that kids movie was.
-
DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
I definitely think Lucas is a red herring in all this and didn't kill her, but Ron really had to do some weird shifting in the story to make Lucas even a suspect. Abigail wasn't even threatening to tell the truth and didn't seem to care THAT much. She basically said she didn't care about Sami🤣 and Lucas was family.
-
DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
Lucas is for sure a suspect. He knows Abby knows about the kidnapping. Listen, it doesn't really make sense that he would murder his own niece. His crimes are really escalating quickly. Is he really in Xander's hotel room? I thought it was a room at the Pub. Anyway, that's why I ASSUME it's Sarah because everyone else is too obvious or too stupid. I secretly hope it's Peter Blake getting some crazy revenge on Jack/Jen.

GH: Classic Thread
Fair. It's nice to see them more lighthearted when they will be all angst and drama for the next million years. It's a little quirky for them and that's not really their characters. It would fit Ned/Lois better I think, but Sonny/Brenda had a ton of silly fantasies in the beginning of their relationship. It's nice to remember a time when Sonny was slightly insecure and had a sense of humor though......

I think Leo was hiding in their bathroom. How long was that Minions movie? Lucas must have been taking an iv of tequila to get blackout drunk, potentially kill Abby, and pass out in the time it took for Chad and the kids to watch a children's animated movie in his own home lol.

No. The setup could have been okay if it occurred over more than 2 episodes and we had more suspects. I literally googled the kid that played Thomas because I thought it might be Billy Flynn's son or something lol I believe the Sarah hallucinating stuff happened off screen. I tend to zone out when Sarah appears (she was lucky she was with Marlena today so I paid attention), but I don't remember hearing or seeing any adverse reactions to her antidote until today. I also assume LG knows that her top was sheer and we could fully see her bra today lol. A bold choice of an outfit to wear at your workplace.
