If Leo had just come back like this after the Diane/John story I think it could have worked. I honestly felt some sympathy for him at the end when he thought/hoped John was his father. He even was the hero (sorta) in Beyond Salem. Honestly, I can't take him seriously now. And it's not like the show couldn't cast another guy (or bring back Paul) for Sonny.

Yes! Not to mention it seems so strange Eric entered what I can only consider at this point to be a casual sexual/romantic relationship so fast. The man got fired from the PRIESTHOOD like 6 months ago. Did Eric/Jada do anything more than share a run and coffee before they jumped into bed together lol?

Sloane is mostly a miss for me, but she didn't bother me today. Why was the pub so dark though? It's like half the lighting was missing and Sloane was lit fine, but Chad was in the dark and so were the other patrons lol. Ron and Jamey clearly find Leo much more entertaining than everyone else in the world. And honestly, unless Chanel killed Stefano Dimera himself with her bare hands as a teen I don't get all the suspense about her "murder" victim. I haven't read spoilers so it could be something good, but I assume it's just an abusive ex boyfriend or something.

I agree that Days need new breakdown writers ASAP. The Doug/Julie stuff was just randomly thrown into an otherwise basic episode with Chanel, Leo, Allie, Alex etc. I would have set the episode up with Doug/Julie and their flashback, add John/Marlena and Kayla/Steve each reminiscing about something important to them-they could even be telling it to Belle or Stephanie/Tripp/Joey respectively, have Maggie think about Mickey (perhaps equating a struggle Mickey/Maggie had to help Sarah/Xander), and then have Abe tell Paulina an important moment from history. Voila! A full anniversary episode. I don't know why 1 entire episode couldn't be devoted to honoring the show's history. I know I could have waited an extra day to see what Sloane and Leo were doing. It was truly the most minimal effort on Ron's part here.

It's just odd. They could show those og flashbacks as some sort of sidenote and cut OG Julie out, but Days has more veterans than any other soap. They couldn't use actual flashbacks of those people? Lol! It's not like this show doesn't have a boatload of actors that have been on this show for 20 plus years or anything...... Were we just supposed to not notice it was a different Julie because SSH is old now and CD does/did look like her 55 years ago?

Yeah, there is no drama or tension or payoff. A windstorm knocked out my internet during Days yesterday and I thought I almost finished it, but I still had 27 mins left🤣 As for today, I really liked the way Stephanie dresses. Sonny was cute. That's it. Also, I appreciate the Julie flashbacks, but that wasn't even SSH playing Julie lol.

It's really one of the easiest shows to remake. You just keep changing classes. I don't really think Degrassi even lost much quality over the years. It evolved into a more soap opera/telenova/Claire/Eli show format, but it's such a no brainer thing to reboot. It's honestly one of my fave shows to rewatch because it moves quickly and requires very little thinking lol.

I tend to cut BA/Spinelli slack since he's written like a cartoon and not a real life human lol. His skills and career open up lots of oppurtunity, but I don't know if he will ever rise above being Jason's sidekick. But outside of Nathan, it's been Maxie's only good romance even if he was a much better fit with Georgie.

I like Spinelli despite so many reasons not to like him. I want him and Maxie together at the very least to contain them and keep Maxie away from Todd 3.0

The Days thread drama is more exciting than the actual show🤣 I am all for botox at 35, but I suspect Nadia has done quite a bit more than botox. But so has Deidre and I stan that. I could only wish to look like that at 75.

There was just something kind of snotty about AT's Emily. Like the family put her out and it was so hard for her. This is such a petty, trivial thing because I did like Emily, but she was so familiar and annoyed with the family so early on. It just felt weird how her loyalties lied.

Ben can stay off screen. I don't want to hear Ciara weeping about their great love. Take Baby Bo and sail around the world. And I like or tolerate RSW. It's just another character for a mediocre actor always sours me.

I think I might care if she killed someone like Alex lol? Nicole and Eric making out is a snooze.... Jada is sad. Isn't anyone else doing anything?

That's exactly how I would put it. I think it might have gotten whitewashed to a seduction, but again I am not sure. The rape hasn't been mentioned in a long time, so with the recast and EJ being the love of Sami's life I think it's become a different thing.

I think so, but I want to say the truth about the conception has been manipulated throughout the years by different writers. My assumption (since Will had a script for the Sami Brady story that was sold) is that he does know, but it's not something Will would tell Johnny because that would be hurtful.

I would say it's not a close enough bond for me to really notice or the show to recognize. It would be nice if they did as that is what the writers should do, but if you didn't tell me-I wouldn't have known. I just always thought Emily immersion into the Q family was so quick. I didn't dislike the story, but it was like 0 to 100 in what seemed only to be a dozen or so scenes. And AT's Emily was always seemed to dislike being a Q which was obnoxious. She was always rolling her eyes and being sarcastic and I get the family is a lot, but you also should be a little more grateful to the people who aren't letting you be an orphan and providing you with a good life. Anyhow, literally entirely a different subject, but when I think about young Emily I do think about that.

I would love for Johnny's conception to come out. I just thought it made sense Sami/EJ didn't tell him about it themselves. If someone else does I am all for it. Why are Kristen/Brady talking about Rachel's medical issues right in front of her? She's like 8 and she's not deaf. That was so awkward. Parents don't do that do they? As far as botox, it's not unusual to have it at 40. I suspect Nadia's had other work done along the way. My understanding is it is better to start botox young so it works better and longer.

I mean, I think it's fair Sami/EJ didn't tell Johnny how he was conceived. That's an awkward conversation that I can imagine they'd protect him from for his own good. But......calling Stefano his Nonno or whatever? Give me a break. Susan, Marlena, John, and Sami should have nipped that crap in the bud. Johnny should not be looking up to a criminal mastermind-related or not.

A lot of Caroline's I know go by Carrie or Carly (ie Carrie Brady or Carly 'Caroline' Benson) and I don't see Carolyn shortened often. lt also might be a regional thing with the way people pronounce it. It's a family name for me, but my sister got named Jenna after Priscilla Presley's character on Dallas which is cooler lol.

Even though Caroline is phonetically spelled it's still considered by most to be the same name. I would say I am called Carolyn at least 80% of the time by strangers. Probably because it's the more common of the two names. Good for GH for actually using history lol. I don't think I knew Jeff broke up with Anne via letter. That's cold... I remember the show setting up Sarah/Liz's backstory pretty well. I don't fault Emily for not knowing Jason's history. I swear I didn't know for years Jason wasn't Monica's biological child and Emily just got inserted into the Q family practically overnight.
