It really annoys me. I know on GH Mac lost his accent one day and it was never spoken of again, but this is just something so lazy and weird to not address. All you have to say is one line about Sloan working hard to lose her English accent or something to distance herself from the family and heartbreak. But no, we are just pretending it's absolutely normal for siblings to have two different accents when they grew up together and have the same mother and father.

I have always found Jackee's acting style OTT for Days. I know that's rich coming from a Deidre Hall fan, but she comes off cartoonishly a lot and I know she's capable of more. I also don't think Paulina has a lot of depth. I feel like Paulina is a personality more than an actual character. It's not high on my list of Days complaints, but I understand what you are saying completely. I believe Paulina's house is supposed to be an actual penthouse. It just looks small like everything else on Days.

Is the show ever going to attempt to explain why Colin has an accent?

It would actually make sense since Nelle is her twin (Nelle is her twin right? lol). I actually don't think KM is untalented and could do more, but Willow is just such a dull character. When she first appeared I did like Willow a bit. Nina needs to do something. Her romance with Sonny is boring. This Willow story is boring. The only time Nina is entertaining is when she is gossiping with Ava.

That's fair. I am coming from a place of disliking Nina and seeing no use for her, so if I have to watch her she might as well be entertaining. I am not thinking of her character longevity because I would just assume she leave lol. I do know CW/Nina has fans and I can't imagine they enjoy this story much either. I don't think it's particularly empowering to watch her beg for crumbs of details of Willow's life either. Her calling SEC on Carly/Drew was better, but she feels bad about it and she shouldn't.

I don't disagree that Carly, Michael, Willow, and Olivia are hypocrites lol. That's a fact. I just hate Nina and I think it would be a lot better if CW played to her crazy Annie Dutton strengths instead of being weepy hoping to hear any details about Willow's wedding. I certainly respect the fact that you like Nina and see it differently, but I find the whole story tedious right now.

Maybe Alex can be his buddy? I know no one wants to see more Alex, but Stefan and Ben were friends, right? Or was it him and Jake only? Part of the problem with Stefan is that I do get him confused with Jake too. It's really hard to say what Stefan's characteristics are because he's moved so far away from Tyler Christopher's villian role. When BB took over they completely changed Stefan's course as a character, but didn't develop the reasons why. I also struggle with who I should be rooting for in this EJ/Stefan feud. Who's right? Who's the "good" guy? Or are they both just obnoxious idiots?

It would be nice if Ron was capable of writing growth, but, to be fair, Nicole has been making these same mistakes through multiple regimes. I have to laugh that she'd rather tell EJ she's in menopause than pregnant.

They really did rush Stefan getting his memory back. I thought the Chloe/Stefan/Gabi triangle would last longer. The story is fine for Nicole, but I wish Nicole had learned something in the past 25 years. She keeps making the same mistakes and I don't really get how she thinks she going to get away with this.

General Hospital: May 2023 Discussion Thread
It's all misguided. Nina and Willow just don't like each other. There isn't a huge concrete reason for Willow to hold a grudge here except she does lol. I think Nina tried to get some sort of custody of Wiley and was pretty much always a bitch to Willow before she knew it was her daughter, but nothing huge. Is current Sonny much different than past Sonny? I don't see much of a difference. He's a bit more calm and caring, but that's about it to me. As a Brenda and Sonny/Brenda fan I don't care that much about what Sonny does at this point. I care much more about how he treats Brenda when she's onscreen. I can sort of handwave most of Sonny's actions in a fanfiction blur if he's good to Brenda and their story is good. Brenda is much more of my focus.

Was Mo's script on his desk in his scenes on Monday's episode? It was just a piece of paper on his desk, but it look like his lines.😂 Nina is such a sad sack of a character. Sonny couldn't take some pics for you Nina? You have to go sobbing to Sam asking for details about Willow's wedding? Just own your crazy please. Her and Valentin actually deserve each other. They can weep in a corner together.

I am sure Millow have fans. It's just not a lightning in the bottle couple like Sprina. But they have been trying to give CD a love interest that works for years and I think he had the most chemistry with his own sister Kristina, tbh lol. Willow and Chase were better than Michael/Willow.

Nothing happened today. It's a real shame they are going this route with Talia/Chanel. I think they actually have a lot of chemistry, but RB has chemistry with pretty much everyone. Nicole is being an idiot lying about this. She'll never learn.

To be fair, I didn't see the big deal over Trina/Spencer until recently. Now I am sold on them, but when TA first took over I wasn't sure they still had the chemistry. I do have a hard time believing anyone prefers Millow over them lol. I am sure Michael/Willow have fans though. It is weird everyone is blaming Ned. Not because it isn't something he would do, but because the timing was so strange. And it is annoying to be mad at someone who objectively did the right thing.

Jada should really be in charge of the Salem PD. She's so much smarter than Rafe. So, as a woman myself, I didn't think Xander asking an unemployed woman that's staying rent free to grab some groceries. That's not sexist. It makes sense if she agreed to help out with chores. That's a pretty easy chore. She can even get them delivered. Home cooked breakfast every morning is a stretch, but what does Chloe do all day that she can't grab some groceries and run a vacuum through the house lol. Buy Xander some microwavable breakfast sandwiches or pop tarts Chloe! This whole try at this romance is a fail, but I actually thought Chloe was being out of line and I am sure that's not how I was supposed to take it.

I have never been a Sam fan. She's always been so lifeless and had the energy of someone that took about 5 xanax before filming. But she used to get story and was popular. Now she's practically a background character. So she may not get fired or anything like that but she certainly doesn't have the story or importance she once did. She could disappear for a full month and I wouldn't notice. Perhaps if they developed Sam more as a character outside of Jason years ago she wouldn't be in this position, but it is what it is.
