  1. It's a wand with UV lighting. Here's a picture of Sasha showing it on the shopping network
  2. I don't really remember Deception's origins as far back as Julia/Dom/Scotty. In its inception it might have had spa ties. I just remember it was always perfume Lucy was talking about and Brenda was always doing perfume ads in the 90's while Jax Cosmetics was, well cosmetics. That may or may not have been the case, but that's how I differentiated the two in my mind at least. I have no idea why the show needed two cosmetics companies in the 90's with only one model in town lol. When Carly/Laura launched it I thought it was perfume again, but maybe it's always just been vague. Anyhow, this is the first time since the 90's since Deception seems like a viable business and I do think Maxie and Lucy have put in a lot of hard work so I do understand why they are treating this whole situation so seriously, especially Maxie the single mother with a brood of kids. I could at least see the appeal of Nathan, while I don't see any appeal with Milo as an actor or a character outside of Cheetwood being very good at working out.
  3. Yes! I couldn't remember if CoeCoe just went under because of Lucy's Vampire/Mental Health problems or if it was already headed that way when Felix/Sabrina came to ask for her help with the Nurse's Ball. I also remember Laura being 'out of town' so Scott was helping Lucy with the spa. I just figured I missed the conclusion of the story and it does exist off screen, but it seems like it was just dropped. I think having Deception continue to be a makeup company makes much more sense than a spa although I do think Deception started as mostly perfume or at least that's the only product I remember Brenda promoting. No idea why Ron tried to make Milo, of all characters, a thing up to considering teasing a Lulu pairing.
  4. I don't really consider Olivia to be a buddy stand in for Brenda/Lois. It's more like Lois and Lois-lite. Despite favoring Vanessa physically, I don't think Olivia and Brenda have much in common at all. That being said, glad Lois/Rena are back! I think Lucy and Maxie did build Deception back up from scratch to be fair. IIRC (and it's been awhile) Lucy had a different cosmetics brand when she first came back and Deception was practically dead. I can't remember what happened to the old brand (it might have something to do with the vampire slayer story?), but she ended up wanting to open Deception Spa with Laura. Long story short, I think Maxie/Lucy did a lot to re-brand and re-build and I don't know if that spa is still open or if Laura even cares.
  5. You know, it is possible for Kate/Marlena to be bff since it was something established to go back to the 70's and they have a ton of grandkids and people in common. It's just Kate has done a lot of crappy things to Marlena/Marlena's daughters and it wasn't ever really resolved. They just became bff again. And this isn't a Ron thing. It just sort of happened through time. I guess Marlena is just really forgiving unless you are Talia lol.
  6. The show gives Kayla more to do like bother Stephanie about marriage lol? I honestly chalk it up to MBE just filming on different days and I do suspect these Kate/Marlena gossip sessions were filmed in a day. In my opinion I consider Marlena better friends with both individually anyhow. Kate/Kayla could be friends, but it's also not weird to me that they aren't sharing scenes either. IDK, when you actually think about Marlena/Kate being such buddies it is weird considering Kate used to be engaged to John and is married to her ex-husband and did everything possible to destroy Sami's life. But whatever.
  7. I actually wonder if all those scenes were filmed in one or two days because Marlena/Kate just appear for a few minutes or a few scenes and disappear. And John only exists as a phone call offscreen lol.
  8. I am with @j swift on the Maggie/Justin scenes. I think it was a clunky delivery on Maggie's part, but I don't think it was intentional rape erasure in, say, the way Luke/Laura's past was whitewashed on GH. I am not sure if Justin even needed to know those very personal details about Bill/Laura because that wasn't the point of the story. It was about Mickey/Mike. I know if you are going to use history it should be used correctly and the whole story should have been worded better. I just think it would be a very difficult and personal thing to explain to Justin. I mean, she didn't explain it caused Mickey to have a mental breakdown either. Idk, I see both sides of the argument, but it didn't offend me personally as much as some others on here.
  9. It's just so strange to me that Maggie is so dead set on being Titan's CEO. It doesn't feel very in character for her. And when Justin read the will last week I had the same impression as Alex. The wording made me think Alex was in charge going forward. As far as Theresa, I felt there was immediately something trashy about how EOB played it. I don't consider Theresa outwardly trashy like that. But it was only like 20 seconds and I do think EOB is a good actress.
  10. The current team had some good ideas with story too, but everything was so rushed with them. I really think Ron or even previous writers really like the idea of Shawn/Belle and either don't like the actors or lose interest. Or Alarr just disliked MM.
  11. It's a choice. You know I dislike MM's Belle, but if you can't write for John/Marlena's daughter and Bo/Hope's son it's a show problem. It's several different writing and production teams so it's really perplexing overall. If you don't like the actors-recast (not with EOB or RSW please though)
  12. Oh, I think Chloe is very ill-defined and gets some awful writing. I just don't understand why lol. She should be quite easy to write for. NB basically checks all the boxes for standard soap heroine. But then again, the show can't write for Belle. The only child of the show's main supercouple. So much. All for Leo.
  13. I'll never understand why the show just discards Nadia every time they feel like it. I am pretty neutral on Chloe overall, but I could think of at least 5 stories to write for her right now including just adding her son into the new teen scene that's coming.
  14. I think Megan did explain Dmitri's birth briefly in one episode. It wasn't anything too exciting IIRC. But AGREED. The show absolutely dropped the ball with Dmitri. So much to explore with him and PP was wasted on frickin Leo! Anyhow, I wonder why the show finds Chloe so difficult to write for. Nadia gets fired every few years and she's just a solid, run of the mill heroine. NB is beautiful, can act decently, has been in popular pairings and is clearly loyal. She's the type of actress/character soaps are built on and the show constantly just runs out of story for her. I don't think Chloe or NB brings anything amazing to the table, but she should be an easy character to write for.
  15. Why does Maggie care about being Titan's CEO so much? I am not saying she's wrong about Alex, but I don't get why it's so important to her. Marlena/Kate keep popping in and out of episodes randomly. I am so used to a character being on the show for its entirety and it is throwing me off. This whole EOB thing is ridiculous and I actually am finding Gwen interesting for like the first time ever. It would have been nice if she went to make up with Jack/Jen or something. And I hope that Theresa wig is a joke.
  16. Ava hired him when he needed money. He lied about the whole job with Gwen to Sarah. It was stupid, so easy to forget.
  17. I could see Marlena getting irritated if Talia was gloating or dreaming of some sort of future with Shawn, but it was clear she felt awful, knew she made a mistake, and was not going to put herself in that position again. So Marlena was basically just making Talia feel worse than she already did. Marlena was more upset with Talia than Belle was which is just so strange. The last few episodes were weird with Marlena starting with gossiping about Vivian with Kate. Are Kate/Marlena THAT close? And does Marlena even care about Vivian?
  18. I agree it was pretty easy to connect the dots between Talia's story and Belle's retelling of Shawn's story. Marlena's not stupid. Although, I rarely say anything bad about Marlena, I really didn't like her confrontation with Talia. I don't have an extensive knowledge about therapy or HIPPA, but couldn't Marlena have suggested a new therapist and said the whole situation was a conflict for her and leave it at that? Instead, she was weirdly judgey and berating Talia (a troubled girl in her 20's) and it felt way more unprofessional than Marlena's usual antics. Talia made a big mistake, but I don't think she needs to be harshly judged by her own therapist. It was very out of character for Marlena because she is usually much more understanding.
  19. I don't care about being spoiled, but I never seek them out or I forget someone got fired because the news broke half a year before.
  20. I am the biggest sucker for 90's GH couples so this might be hypocritical of me, but after 26 years I think the Lois character has just moved on from Ned and Eddie Maine. Lois always struck me as extremely levelheaded and someone who could realize it wouldn't work and build to bigger and better things. I wish she was staying long term, but I don't think I would want today's Lois to regress back to being with Ned and I really did love Ned/Lois BITD.
  21. I am literally the worst person to ask about Days spoilers because I never read them but
  22. Yeah, Eric definitely lived above the Pub so now maybe Talia can get her own room and bed! Marlena/John's penthouse has at least 4 bedrooms because Brady, Kristen and Rachel were all living there at one point in separate bedrooms.
  23. The Leo/Dmitri situation escalated so quickly. It was played as wacky hijinks for weeks and now it's jumped to actual murder. There wasn't a lot of progression from 20 questions with Rachel and Leo dressing up as Gwen to multiple acts of gun violence. Marlena/Kate are still randomly in this episode gossiping at the Pub. Marlena actually called Sloan's apartment 'spacious', so clearly she's been living with one too many of houseguests for too long. I don't have much to say about the rest of the episode. Alex is being weird and Sonny is a great brother.
  24. I am day behind but, nunununuMolly seems okay. And by okay I obviously mean looks a bit like Haley and not entering menopause. I'll be honest, I love the silliness of 90s Eddie Maine as much as anyone. I didn't get him wowing fans in the 90's and I certainly don't get it 30 years later. I think WK is delightful and very talented-I have always had a hard time buying him as a rocker that appeals to the masses. But, go wild Gh, I'd rather watch Eddie being a hit with the young crowd than Joss complaining about the lack of sex with Dex. I definitely don't think people were there to see stick in the mud Curtis though. I am enjoying the climax of the Sasha story. Mostly because I hate Gladys, but also because this whole wacky Sasha/Cody/Sam/Dante plan feels like a 90's soap plot with a group of friends/lovers proving the impossible in the most complicated way imagined. Instead of just researching Glady's spending history there was fake breakdowns, fake accents, fake kidnappings, asylum breakouts, and going on the run. It's enough to be entertaining to me.
  25. I do remember Angel changing from white clothing to red. The show at the time felt very boring but the stories were very complicated as well. I honestly probably thought Brenda was going to pop right back up because I was young and naive then and didn't understand what a flakey lady Vanessa was at the time. Anyhow, I agree this is when Jax started stagnating. I think the show has a history of bringing Jax back and not really knowing what to do with him so they just throw him at the current Sonny pairing. The show knew that was a good default place for Jax.
