They never gave the recast a chance. I think I recall GH hoping MR would come back when her primetime show failed, but she obviously didn't and Gia just faded away basically. Agreed. I don't mind a new family in town, but centering it around DT was a mistake. It's too bad the show couldn't hold on to Sean Blakemore longer. Robert/Sasha took a DNA test. The man has had several names. Coltin Scott and Stephen Martines are both names he used professionally. It turns out he started swindling old rich ladies after his acting career dried up. You can google it all.

I don't know why the show doesn't give Tate/Brady Li's old apartment or something. I assume the show still has that set. I know John/Marlena love their kids and grandkids, but I personally would be annoyed if my 50 year son and teenage grandson were living with me indefinitely. It's not like Brady doesn't have the money to move. He's just being lazy lol.

I personally loved Nik/Gia. That was the only time I liked Coltin Scott/Steven Martines/Grifter McGee/whatever he goes by now in the role of Nik. The show lost interest in the entire pairing MR left though. In fact I am not even sure why the show recast Gia as the recast just wandered around and appeared once a month to do nothing. I think the show tries with the Ashford family. Unfortunately it's built around Curtis and he's awful. It's also difficult when every black character on the show currently is related to one another except Kai and Isaiah. I am not sure if either is on contract though.

LOL! Steve dated a pre-fame Tara Reid for a few years so you know he's probably truly up for anything. I don't have a particular affection for Keesha because she was such a basic character. I was shocked when she was in one of Brenda's weddings because I was like do they even know each other.? It would be an interesting angle at this point though. I thought SA and SK's AJ had good chemistry. I just never felt I got a full story on the relationship. They would randomly be back together but no scenes to actually explain how we got from broken up to a relationship.

I would love another secret AJ kid. I just don't know if the moment is lost now. When did Keesha last appear? 1998? 1999? I always thought the Keesha/Jason romance was so easily discarded post-accident. There was a lot there to play. I get it was always going to Robin/Jason and I absolutely ship that relationship forever lol. I ate that nonsense up even if Robin is entirely more awesome far away from him. I don't think Steve would even be that uncomfortable with a biracial romance. He has his awful politics, but he seems a bit more open to things now that he's divorced and doesn't have to pretend to be a happy family guy.

Lol! I would entirely write off Steve as a lost cause and he probably is, but he did show some spark and depth on Days so I am convinced he doesn't mind acting if he has to. Keesha being recast is something that should have been done a long, long time ago. It appears Senait Ashenafi has had some personal issues, but there are plenty of talented actresses who could take on that role. It's again a character who's story practically writes itself so why would Frank even try?

Yeah. Hear me out though-I think Steve is actually quite good at playing the humorless straight guy in a pairing so he'd do okay with someone that had more humor and pizazz. Like Maxie, but obviously not actually Maxie. I've always found Steve pretty funny being exasperated by the likes of Brenda, Spinelli, and Carly (at certain points). KeMo is a bit different to me. It's clear she lost all passion for acting after awhile. I am def not calling Steve a master thespian or anything, but KeMo appeared visibly bored on screen for years.

I actually found them charming in the very beginning, but haven't cared about them in years. It was a bit tragic/funny when Sam got shot in the uterus and still had multiple kids.

You know that's all I remembered from the pairing lol. I don't even think Mo looked that old. I suppose he was still a viable male lead at the time, but it was getting close to closing time for Sonny 2 decades ago. Kelly just looked so young and fresh back then that I was like get away old man! Lol. The pivot to move her towards Jason was pretty brilliant whether it was a Brenda plan or not. I think we both know Guza was salivating at the thought of his faves Brenda/Jason together though. SBu and KeMO always did have solid chemistry. There is only so far you can go when your personality is laid back biker/mob wife/danger junkie at least in Sam's case. They really should have kept her as a grey character or spicy villainess from 2007.

I don't really have enough experience with watching McBain or Zach, but they seemed to get a lot of story. I can't say if it was good story lol. I actually think pairing Sam immediately with Jax was a huge mistake. I don't exactly think they lacked chemistry, but Jax's character was at a low. The way he treated both Brenda and Skye very recently left him with very little favor with the audience. Even myself being a card carrying Jax fan back then was like, "Whatever, Jax. You deserve to be alone and bilked out of your fortune". I can't concretely remember anything about Sonny/Sam except the elevator scene where TB's Carly tells her she's a replacement for Brenda because they look the same in the dark. SAVAGE!! I loved TB's Carly back then. Honestly, Sonny already looked old and creepy next to Kelly because Carly and Brenda were already significantly younger than him and KeMo is even younger.

I actually haven't considered Sam a Brenda bot in years, but that's where she started. It's a testament to KM's popularity and I guess skill? lol that she was successful in moving out of that role. The deck was really stacked against her after bombing pairings with both Jax and Sonny. I think both Easton and Kaye got better roles from the outset depending on how much you like either character. Sam was always just a character more tied to her pairings than a fully formed female. The only thing I can tell you about Sam to this day is she liked leather and motorcycles.

I absolutely believe it wasn't her only job offer. She had a lot of buzz post-PC. I am just stating the obvious about her GH role. I am pretty sure it has been publicly stated or at least is an open secret that Sam finished out the bones of the Brenda story when VM left after her contract expired because Guza thought VM was going to re-sign. You can pretty much entirely place Brenda into Sam's story the first year and imagine how much better it would be. That being said, Sam hasn't been a Brenda clone to me in years. Brenda would have more energy and not be lethargy on screen like KeMo often was.

Kelly Monaco didn't need to be hired to play a character on a cancelled soap. She was hired because she looks a lot like Vanessa Marcil and finished off Brenda's story with some tweaks because Vanessa abruptly bolted for primetime. That's it. That's the end of the casting story. I will acknowledge Kelly tried to make Sam her own and succeeded in the end, but realistically, she hasn't had any fire, committment or care for years. So all the shout outs of Kelly being screwed is not accurate. She was actually incredibly lucky to hold a job for 2 decades with minimal effort.

I LOVED AJ/Elizabeth. They never got a fair shake on the show. Because everyone hates Sean Kanan I guess. The years of story Carly/AJ/Liz could provide was ridiculously wasted.

I don't remember thinking BM/KM had fire chemistry. I did like that it was at least something different for Sam. From my standpoint, I think Becky and Billy had better chem to be honest. To me, Jason/Sam was always her most viable pairing. It just got played out. Their beginning was cute even if it was a story meant for Jason/Brenda which would have actually been fire.

Interesting. I thought the fact he acted a bit younger was an appeal, but apparently it is not lol. Leo's age just never really entered my mind in this scenario. I was confused at how two people who shared a couple of drinks and some texts were now suddenly in a serious relationship. Leo's schemes are idiotic. Sami at 15 was way more intelligent. Don't diss her like that haha!

I totally understand your point. To me it's not Leo's age or looks. He's 40 plus obviously. Whatever. That's not the reason to dislike this coupling. The writing and build up is. I have no idea why Javi would like Leo because the show hasn't told us. If the show had given us some scenes to explain why they both were attracted to one another and why they connected it would help. Looks mean nothing in this scenario to me. I just need some human interaction between them to buy this. 9/10 teenage girls would have been dumb enough to stay with Tate. Heck, I probably would have at 16 or 17 because I was dumb lol. Sophia wasn't immature at all. She really liked Tate, but saw he still had feelings for Holly and wasn't going to be second best. She made a choice to respect herself. I am probably giving Days writing too much credit but that's how I perceived it. Anyhow, not a big deal or that important.

Considering it was a best of flashback situation they probably had to dig deep to find Sam with personality lol. I think there were definite times KeMo still showed some spark even in the end, but they were bogged down by the 99% of time she didn't. If I had to choose the summer she was a villainess and her falling in love with Jason were probably the times she showed the most emotion. I know she and Billy had a special connection, but I never found Sam/Drew stuff interesting.

It's never happened to me nor has anyone said someone else's name to me either. I thought it was a thing that only happened on tv shows lol. I think there is an accidental slip of the tongue and what Tate did. It's very clear Sophia was insecure about Tate's previous relationship with Holly so that was a deal breaker for her. I would be irritated if she bought Tate's bs and stayed with him. She had respect for herself and walked out. The singular action by Tate wasn't the reason she broke up with him. For a teenage girl I thought she actually showed a lot of maturity and wasn't overreacting at all.

Oh, yeah. Leo probably should have been cast as younger to begin with especially considering he was teased as John's son. The way he treated Gwen was deplorable and we have to hear how sad he is about losing that friendship which is 100% his own fault. Tate calling out Holly's name while he was in bed with Sophia is kind of a big thing lol. I like Cat's hair personally. Women always straighten their hair and make it look perfect on tv. I like her natural curls and waves.

I don't know. I totally get what you are saying as a full grown adult with an actual home and mortgage (ugh) and being like why does this man not rent an apartment, but I could still see myself thinking it was fancy and rich. Because why else would you live in a hotel?

I am surely not propping Leo but I would also say he acts younger which makes a big difference. He still seems like he's up for fun and going out and not passing out on the sofa chair at 8. I do think that makes a difference in a relationship. Ugh, I sound like some sort of Leo stan, which you all know I am not. I just can believe someone from out of town with little frame of reference could find him attractive and fun.

Wow, rude. And I am not even the original poster. Gabi has told Javi most everything Leo has done to her knowledge. I don't think she knows the whole scope of everything Leo has done, but Javi was fully warned. I don't know if I met someone living in hotel suite or not I would probably still think that was pretty fancy lol
