  1. So back when Carly hired AL's Brook to seduce Dante away from Lulu wasn't it established Dante/Brook Lynn never were romantically involved previously? They were just good friends? I know everyone wants to forget that era in BLQ's life, but I remember it being clear neither had romantic feelings for one another hence Brook drugging him. It would have actually made more sense at the time to give BLQ/Dante a backstory, but the show went with a Brenda/Dante backstory instead. Anyhow, that's obviously changed. BLQ/Dante haven't hinted at romantic feelings once in last 15 years so that's just odd.
  2. All I can say is Lulu uttering the words they must immediately find Charlotte today gave me dread in my heart. I don't think a reporter is a bad career for Lulu. I just can't remember the progression of this career path.
  3. Lol. It's not even like I can't remember ER's Lulu stories if prompted, but it all becomes a blur of weird children popping up and Dante cheating with Valerie. I definitely cannot tell you how she went from Kate's assistant to reporter, but at least I know that happened.😂
  4. I..can't even think of anything he's done that has been memorable except talking up fictional pairings with white women on the show. I also thought Lulu was gone for about a million years even though she said 4 years in the dialogue a bunch lol. Berman's Lulu is the last time I really cared about Lulu and I am only the most lukewarm fan of hers.
  5. Was Curtis even on the show when Emme played Lulu? If so he's been on this show way too long. ETA-just looked it up to see that DT has been on the show since 2015 which can't be real. That's almost a decade.
  6. Agreed 100%. I can separate the character from the actress and Missy gets Jen. I haven't seen people tuning out in droves or deriding the fact Jen is onscreen. Maybe some small faction is, but Cady just isn't right for the part.
  7. I checked Dynasty out for a minute, but it was at an odd time or something and I couldn't keep up. IIRC, BB was pretty good on the show. I have no love for Lisa Niles or would wish a return, but there was probably a way to rehabilitate her for a comeback eventually if the show fired her earlier or gave her any depth. As far as I could tell her entire college relationship with Patrick consisted of drinking beer and watching NASCAR together lol.
  8. I remember it was more damning Robin slapped Lisa in public. ROBIN got in trouble for that lol.
  9. Agreed. IIRC she was keeping it a secret as well. I don't even know if there was a proper resolution. Robin just was able to figure out her meds and everyone moved on. Exactly. Lisa just kept roaming around town doing ridiculous, illegal, crazy things and no one arrested her. Steve even let her keep her job! Brianna Brown was excellent in psycho mode, but it felt like the show just held on to her too long because she was talented. Typical GH.
  10. I think the show also made it clear these new meds were experimental, not available to everyone and expensive. I believe Sonny was paying for them? It also gave a viable hope Robin would live a longer life. The testing also paralleled Stone's experience because he tested negative and never got re-tested thinking he was fine. I really thought the show was going the AIDS complication route. I remember being in disbelief the show would even consider going in that direction after all this time. Listen, I'd probably quit acting too if I had to play out that Lisa Niles story which went on at least a year too long.
  11. A lot of scenes in that story still make me cry to this day including almost all the episode @Vee posted. In 1995, I don't think there was any believable way to keep Stone alive-not for more than a few years. Michael Sutton did such an amazing job physically and emotionally transforming himself to make it believable and GH did a ton of research. I always thought it was a shame he gave up acting. It looked like a death sentence for Robin as well. I was also going to note that meds got a serious upgrade just a few years later in my original post and GH did talk through that topic with Robin quite well. Even if that wasn't Labine or Riche's intention, Robin became a great symbol of hope instead of a tragic heroine. I just don't think any current soap on air would even take that risk today. I was floored too as a kid especially since Robin had previously tested negative. I remember there was some debate about Robin telling Stone since he was so ill and Robin said they never lied to one another before so she couldn't now. Such a touching romance.
  12. Yup. You explained it perfectly. Ava/Sonny could hook up again, but they would be dangerous and volatile with one (or both) trying to outsmart one another for a goal. Sonny/Alexis would be a mature relationship. Just finding enjoyment with one another's company. At this point, they keep trying to give Sonny a mad, passionate, new romance when both characters need some stability and comfort right now. Ric/Ava have great chemistry. But what happens when the show tires of RH again? Which will eventually happen.
  13. Not really. I have always felt Sonny actually cared for Alexis and respected her. I don't think he loved her or anything and it's obviously not endgame, but they've mostly always maintained a decent friendship. I just could just seem them finding comfort in one another. Ava/Sonny should never grow close or be romantic without an ulterior motive on someone's part. At best they tolerate one another at worst they would murder each other. I see the couples with two entirely different dynamics, but that's JMO.
  14. You know, I think you may have been the first person to tell me about the AJ/HIV projected story and it always stuck in my mind. I often wonder how that story could have played out and it's a fascinating idea to me. What we got with Stone/Robin was pretty perfect. I always thought the show would get scared at the last minute and make Robin HIV negative. I am glad Labine/Riche stuck to their original plot.
  15. On Sonny's side it would be good for him. I am tired of having to deal with a new romance every few years and Alexis really could use a love interest. I could see a story where they unexpectedly grow close due to Kristina's troubles. It's much less of a stretch than Sonny and Natalia working. Fair.
  16. I am curious if the show made that distinction when SS came aboard in the 70's. Do you know? It's so sad misinformation gets spread around because all this time I thought he actually was the older brother due to everything I have read. I love there are people on this board that have the wealth of knowledge and watched at the time.
  17. I've told you before I liked Sexis. I have no problem with it. I thought Alexis was too good for him at the time, but her taste in men is horrible so it tracks. I just think it would be uncomfortable for both. It would still be hotter than Chase/Brook Lynn though
  18. I doubt Nancy would like it much either lol.
  19. I thought the Doug III prison scenes were confusing as well. I think the black/white filming made it unclear yesterday. Today it made a little more sense. The Liz/Marie feud is pretty silly. Unless Neil reunited with Liz at some point before his death and was the father of her sons or something it seems petty to even care now. At least Maggie called them out. The Belle/Marlena scenes today and yesterday made continuity strange. John was gone on their anniversary, came back, and left again? Belle was there for the anniversary and came back to the funeral and Marlena is just now hearing she's been in Hong Kong and is having trouble with Shawn? The explanation of the John issue aside, Belle/Marlena just saw one another a few weeks ago lol. Overall, beautiful moments in the episode. Julie's monologue was quite special.
  20. It's always such a shame to me we never got to see Brenda/Harlan interact-we just mostly heard about it from her POV. I always considered the Julia/Harlan dynamic very interesting because Julia seemed like she was groomed to be the heir her whole life, had a lot of pressure to be perfect and she was still so young. I can't say I minded Julia/Bill. TG and CC had nice chemistry. Oh, I absolutely believe Kevin's reaction was important to the episode. The duck stuff in the beginning just feels a bit out of place, but I can definitely understand where GH was coming from with some levity for such a heavy hour of tv. Jagger had flashbacks of his mom and boyfriend? when he first was trying to find his siblings. She left because he didn't want the kids around. It appeared Jagger was much older than Stone/Gina, but this was before both of those parts were cast. Jagger couldn't support two children at his age, so that's why they got split up into foster care. She was awful. I don't think we ever got a clear picture about the dad. I believe AJ was the first pitch for the HIV story. Someone can correct my if I am wrong, but it was nixed at the time. I always thought Nikki's son should have ended up as AJ's, but the time passed and then Michael became the main focus. I am not really sure WHY Jenny told Ned she was a virgin. It's not like he was. I would assume it was because she was ashamed of her past. Again, it just seemed dated at the time.
  21. I will leave it up to the experts of that time period like @jam6242, but I am pretty sure that's entirely incorrect. Where did you get this info? Julie/Steven have the same father-Ben Olson.
  22. It didn't really feel like the show had anything planned out, but I always chalked it up to circumstances BTS fumbling it up a bit. It was one of those situations where the show went to all this trouble to lay out this elaborate mystery and bring Lesley back, but no one had a "what's next?" plan I guess lol. I can say I wasn't the biggest fan of the story.
  23. Oh thanks! Everything I always read made me think he was the older of the two. Anything I saw didn't actually specific. Good to know!
  24. Yeah. It was probably an oversight in writing. SSH is older than SS so maybe everyone (including the actors) just forgot. 70's styling doesn't do anyone any favors, but I always thought Steven looked younger than Julie
  25. Steve is older or at least he was introduced as the older brother. I had the same thoughts regarding Liz. Did she reunite with Neil or just remarry? It was vague.
