  1. I liked Carnes too. He was more subtle than Van. I do feel like Van will expand the role of Lucas more if writing allows of course. It's obviously early, but so far I agree with the recast.
  2. Oooh I really did hate young Spencer, but I thought Betchel was supposed to be obnoxious on purpose (as is Rachel). Violet is supposed to be the most sweetest, lovable little girl on the planet. She's not lol.
  3. I would get rid of both of them honestly. It's one thing if the show is saddling them with this material, but they both want to have this boring, chaste, modest 1950's storyline. Like go find a Hallmark movie career or something. They are boring as hell. I am going to say that little girl is the most annoying child on soaps. She makes Rachel from Days seem tolerable.
  4. Van already seems like a more commanding and vibrant presence than Ryan Carnes in the role of Lucas. So far so good. I am not advocating violence at all or violence between children, but I wish the boy Violet hit decided to hit her back hard lol. Sorry that's mean. Violet's existence in Chase/BLQ's lives age them up so much. They are young and newly married. This story is lame for them. I liked the Lucky/Sonny scenes, but I always had a soft spot for JJ and MB's interactions. These are the days where I can't stand Joss. Trina/Gio had a minor disagreement like normal people have sometimes. Joss didn't need to step in and stage an intervention. UGH The Portia/Ava scenes were interesting too. I am not sold on the Portia villain turn, but it's nice BK gets material she can sink her teeth into. Wringing her hands over Curtis for months was boring AF. A pretty good overall show today.
  5. Well, hopefully everyone is more adult and reasonable now, but I doubt it. The Chad Duell stuff was separate. I think MB was really upset about DG's firing and just blamed the new young guy that got hired and had nothing to do with the decision lol. Although 2024 carolineg does think Mo might have had a point about CD 😂
  6. The way Mo retold it in his own words made him sound like a petty jerk (and Steve by extension). I can only image the actual truth. I absolutely get being in a bad mental place, but I don't think you can go around bullying your co-worker either unchecked. Anyway it sounds like the two of them made up. I just think it very clearly explains things you saw onscreen at the time and why TB got the hell out of GH when her contract was up.
  7. I read it awhile back during lockdown, but Mo said he and Steve would basically bully her by joking and making fun of her because they were unhappy with their storylines at the time. He doesn't go into specifics about what storyline (I assume the Alcazar stuff). I believe Mo made her so upset she started crying over it and then he felt bad. Apparently him and TB talked about it and are good now, but he blames it on being in very bad head space at the time. I was shocked he openly admitted that because it did not make him seem like a great guy or coworker. There were a few other tidbits of conversations he had with VM and some other costars that sounded insulting, but I guess they either laughed it off, didn't care, or just didn't say anything.
  8. I was thinking FAbby may have been injured in the same accident as her parents and needed surgery? It's a weird story already. I am intrigued by it though.
  9. You are correct. Wayne would bring a gravitas that Josh Taylor can't. It would be a smart move for the show but I don't have much hope it will happen.
  10. Yup. And the thing is Mo openly admits he and Steve treated Tamara badly in his own book lol. No wonder she wanted to get far away from that pairing or work with someone else.
  11. It was a really unhinged subset of Carson fans and from the No Ordinary Love board circa the early, early 2000's. I think they actually turned on Tamara before the whole thing was shut down.
  12. I don't think it's a bad idea if the show got Wayne back. A Josh Taylor Roman pairing would be useless. Yes, it's been years, but circumstances change. I don't exactly mind the idea of Marlena being single for the rest of her time on the show, but it's also a bit ridiculous to put Julie, Maggie, and Marlena out to pasture to be single forever because their on screen partner passed away. Marlena is the only one of the 3 that has another true love still living so she would be the one I focused on. I highly doubt that Wayne would ever get re-hired so it's all moot. It just what I would do if I ran the show.
  13. Yup. The only other fanbase war I saw that was more ugly were those NOLer Carly/Sonny fans from the early 2000's who actually wished harm to NLG, VM, and Ted King so Sonny/Carly could stay together lol, but it was a very small group of nuts. Liason/JaSam seem to have a larger, "intense" group of fans.
  14. The Liason and JaSam fan wars were some of the ugliest fan based battles I have ever seen back in the day. It turned me off to both pairings and, honestly, neither pairing was bad. I don't actually think a Lucky/Liz/Jason triangle redux is a bad idea. It's certainly better than Anna/Jason, but I can't deal with the crazy lol.
  15. Yeah, I have a really hard time believing all these Liz/Ric fans are just popping up now. I know this board isn't the barometer of the entire internet, but I remember saying I really liked early Liz/Ric and hardly anyone on here agreed lol. Liz/Ric doesn't have the long term, endgame potential that LL2 have, so I would suspect some Liason cross agenda. I think it's too soon for me to tell if I want Liz back with Lucky, but I certainly don't think Jason/Liz are ever getting back together lol.
  16. Well that's unfortunate lol. At the time I am sure I did not find CR funny, but clips of her now give me more entertainment than MM ever did in all her years playing Belle. I definitely think it's fair to ask who made statements in a thread like this as there have been so many that it's hard to keep track. I just know it got pretty ugly on social media with people directly asking Deidre for a statement and wondering why it was taking her so long. Which is gross. It feels like some people (not on this board) are demanding statements from everyone that ever worked with Drake and it's no ones obligation to make a public statement.
  17. Wayne's mostly been very gracious about speaking about the firing, but if you look up articles he totally was. JER's vision was John/Marlena and he actually got push back on that because they wanted Drake with someone younger. Roman seemed like such a critical character at the time he was fired, but it is what it is. I have no actual proof, but I always felt like they recast Roman with JT once Wayne was suddenly unavailable.
  18. The GREATEST Belle. I actually think CR owns a successful yoga studio or something so she's doing well, but wisely decided to stop acting to protect all of us.😂
  19. For some levity I kind of wish Charity Rahmer posted something. She used to act so weirdly flirty with her own father in her 3 week run or however long it was.
  20. I actually don't think it's weird Kristen is on Marlena's radar constantly considering everything that has happened since 1995 lol. The show just doesn't hit the right beats with the rivalry. They were practically cordial a few years ago. I just don't think it's strange a woman that tried to kill her, kidnap her, steal her husband, manipulate her stepson, raped her son, and is now the mother of her granddaughter through trickery is on her mind. Days for some reason decides not to use that as motivation even though it would be super easy to do so.
  21. Honestly, knowing ABC Daytime's creative decisions the Port Charles mob spinoff would still be airing and GH would have been canned instead.
  22. I don't get how Sonny just being a straight up killer is better than Sonny being off his meds and having a semi-plausible excuse. But then again I haven't really understood Mo's decisions or motivation since like 1997 so there's that.
  23. It is very strange the show didn't take the easy way out with Sonny being off his meds as the reason he killed Jagger. Maybe it's leading to something? Knowing GH though, probably not lol.
  24. Kirsten has always spoken highly of Drake as far as I can tell and I would assume she's quite sad as well. She may be taking time to post or may just not be great with words in a situation like this. She also hasn't been on Days for years and years and probably isn't as close to the cast anymore. No harm in asking the question, but again, I don't think every person that has ever worked with Drake has to make a public statement for us to know that they will miss him.
