  1. Woof... You are hitting the nail on the head again. But let me think about it tonight and I'll come up with my top 5 worst Bill Bell storylines. It's a great challenge 😜 I have some that are very different from yours and some that will surprise you since I think people liked them. I will give a spoiler right now - Ridge basically raping drunk Caroline who was married to Thorne at the time, slipping into her bed at night. The rest later when I have more time... ❤️
  2. Has anyone read The Partner by John Grisham? I want to buy it... It sound very interesting.
  3. I'm so glad my sharing of the experience has a positive effect.🙏 I had a second guess moment where I was telling myself I'm probably boring you guys to sleep with my commentary. 🤣 Happy it's not the case. And can't wait to continue tomorrow.
  4. It's becoming one of my favorite storylines I've watched in soap operas... ever. ❤️

  6. Tonight's episode that we watched... was November 7th 1988. Just one episode, since he was very tired and sleepy. And this is the episode my husband finally knows what the hell is going on. 🤣 It took him 6-7 episodes to get into it completely. And of course, my help and constant monologues about who is who (from the limited knowledge I have)... have done it's job. He's a fan. Does he dare... not be... with me in the house? 🤣 The episode is one of the last written by Harding Lemay, just before Donna Swajeski takes over as head writer. The key moments. Iris's takeover scheme is officially in next stage. She's done all the preparation and now it's time for action. She has presented herself as the heroine who can save Daddy's company. The scene between her and Rachel about the future Cory Publishing was sublime - dripping with venom, subtext and smart comebacks. But in the end, sadly, Rachel took the bait. She's agreed to leave the company. Oh, Rachel, Rachel! We had Iris beginning to smell her victory... but she shouldn't be so fast to celebrate... we know that nothing's over till the fat lady sings! Her scene with Daddy was poignant - in his eyes she was still this innocent good-hearted girl... We saw a glimpse of remorse in Iris who realized that if Daddy found out what's doing... that would destroy their relationship. That's the price she will have to pay for all the evil deeds. The episode ended with an iconic moment - Iris taking Rachel's picture down. But we know in soaps... that nothing ends the way it looks like it will. So... we'll see. Overall - 11/10! One of my favorite episodes so far. ef.mp4
  7. Cambridge Dictionary has announced its 2024 word of the year is "manifest," a formal 600-year-old word that's been given new life as Olympians, entertainers and social media influencers increasingly claim they channel their wishes into realities. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c774mzyrp84o Other popular terms searched in the dictionary in 2024 included: Brat - A child, especially one who behaves badly. The word went viral thanks to pop artist Charli XCX's album of the same name, about non-conformist women Demure - Quiet or well-behaved. Influencer Jools Lebron's satirical use of the word on TikTok mocking stereotypical femininity drove look-ups Goldilocks - To describe a situation that is exactly right. Financial reporters characterised India’s strong growth and moderate inflation as a Goldilocks economy in early 2024.
  8. What a stunning couple. I wish them happiness. Bold and Beautiful life together.
  9. Absolutely agree. This was the period that started the build up of tolerable, then good, then amazing material... culminating with 2001-2002 Breacon. Then in early 2003 it all came breaking down.
  10. My childhood in a nutshell.
  11. I watched today's episode. I guess... I'm back. That was a short pause... lol, but... guys... this is like a sickness, like a compulsion you can't stop. It's like I'm in hell and made to watch the show for eternity. Bradley Bell has my soul and he won't release it. Watching this show is bad karma from another life. One thing I noticed - Brooke is talking in her girlish voice... she's forgotten that matriarch... deep-talking... and I can detect early signs of the Whore of Beverly Hills in her. Finn better prep (tetanus shots, all kinds of shots), because he's about to enter the Gates of Hell. You know it, I know it - it's coming. When Brooke smells blood... she goes in for the kill. And her next victim will be Finn. 🙈
  12. I'm known to see the positive even in the most vile people/things. A character flaw after being raised by narcissists. 🙊 Joke aside - I do think that's the only of his storylines that I've truly enjoyed from start to finish... That I would give him a solid A+. No wonder he's spend decades trying to re-create it. Never succeeding.
  13. Me when I have to be sober, but deal with idiots.
