I have this friend that works at a sensual shop... Toy store for grown ups. He actually told me after I asked few days ago... what was the thing that was most searched for... And I kinda expected to be the regular thing... We all know. The thing that vibrates. But no... Long and behold. It was the strap thingy. And he told me so many women were apparently using it on their husbands... Boyfriends. I'm still processing this info days later. Im not sure if he was not trolling me. Not judging... Just processing. I guess... If true... I'm happy straight people are having fun too. 😀- B&B: November 2024 Discussion Thread
I remember when weeks ago a lot of people were praising Will's acting abilities. I forgot the actor's name, I'm getting old, and the gin is not forgiving, sorry. And I felt like the odd one out, who was not that impressed. Yes, I still find him charming, but maybe for a hair wax commercial. Something's missing. He just stands there and stares and smiles. And the lovey dovey scenes with Electra are undescribably cringe. He doesn't have any chemistry with her. Maybe they'll push her into Bill's dirty bed too, since Bradley doesn't know what to do with any of his new characters. I just don't want to be subjected to the torture of hearing Will and Electra talk to each other. In this show people don't know what subtext is, they constantly either tell each other how beautiful or hot they are and how they love each other or they spew hate at one another like they are cartoon characters. No play with words. No double meanings. No sarcasm. No irony. No venom. No edge. No wit. No substance. Flat. Flat. Basic. Flat. Boring. Boring. Flat. Vanilla-safe. I don't know why I do this to myself and continue watching. I must be a masochist. Cancel this drivel or hire a new head writer!- Man's best friends - Pets

Controlling and manipulative to everyone in her life, Harriet Craig's life spirals out of control. Amazing movie. A study into the mind of a person with narcissistic personality disorder. Based upon the Pulitzer Prize-winning 1925 play Craig's Wife, by George Kelly.- ARTICLE: ‘Beyond the Gates’ Formally Announces Writing Team, ‘Robert Guza Jr. Named Co-Head Writer Alongside Creator Michele Val Jean
I'll come as Modesta Josefina - the ex-hooker from Another World. 🤩 And I think BTG parties is not a "can do it"... but a MUST-do-it. The first new soap opera in 25 years - we should celebrate like there's no tomorrow. Ha! - so many people through the years were saying that it will never happen. It ain't over till the fat lady sings. Nothing is impossible... and BTG is proof of that. A new era for soap operas is beginning and I'm going to be talking about this to my grandchildren one day.- What Are You Listening To?

One day I want on my memorial (after at least 70 more years - AT LEAST) this song to be played... and the people mourning me (if there are any) be served gin and tonic.- What Are You Listening To?

In the end of the day... after a certain age... what other people think of you needs to come in second to what you know about yourself. Some may say that it's valid for all ages. But... especially after you are not a youngster anymore. I'm so sad when I see people my age that still live by how others expect of them and suppress their own identity - what are they waiting for... Life... is passing by.- What Are You Listening To?

I'm yet to see Anna in the role. But I think, I'll probably agree with you.- Another World Discussion Thread
Sadly, then I was not imagining it. Thank you for this. I was gaslighting myself into believing that it's just in my head-thing. October 1988 - Jan 1989 (Harding Lemay and then Donna Swajeski) is SUBLIME. I was hooked on instant... and was crying 2-3 episodes in. Quality dialogue, suspenseful scenes, beautiful production. And my hands are itching to press play and continue where I left off - into February 1989 and beyond. But... I will persevere with 1987 just for the sake of the experiment, till I can't bare it anymore. Maybe something will surprise me... I'm yet to see Anne Heche's first few months on the show and I'm willing to swallow the melodrama and the boring dialogue... for her.- Another World Discussion Thread
Episode 5860 - July 21 1987 I don't know if I'm going to be able to endure more of this period. This is not the late 1988-early 1989 Another World that I started watching and loving couple of weeks ago. This is another show. What a difference a new head writer makes! Wow! I expected not to notice much difference. Am I imagining it? Someone tell me. I'm 5 episodes in and finding so many irritating things in the writing and characterisations. Maybe it will get better. I sure hope so. I miss the Donna Swajeski episodes I was watching. So what was going on - it was a stormy night in Bay City. Donna nearly died from a fire she stupidly caused in a pathetic scene that only Bold and the Beautiful can rival. John, of course saved her. How predictable. Lisa confessed to Felicia that she was raped in a highly one dimensional melodramatic scene that lacked only a clown with a violin in the background. I guess I should get used to everything being served so direct. That scene could have been written so much better. And did we really need this lame diary? To follow her around in her princess dress writing in it... dramatically? It's infantile for her age. I guess we may say she's emotionally stunted since she was traumatized in the past, but overall it looks and feels cartoonish. But hey it was better than the masochistic Modesta I was a hooker fiasco. In this current 1987 regime everything is repeated to ad nauseam. There are nearly none of the subtext and dimensions that are there in late 1988. At least not right now. God... I should have listened to the people who told me to keep watching 1989. But hey... I'll still keep trying. Maybe it's just a bad batch of episodes. 5 episodes is not the end. Overall - 4/10. Don't hate me.- Daily Hotness
