That's actually not Burke Moses after Russ Anderson (Steve Holden). It's Mark Arnold who played Rob Coronal.

I believe the young lady doing the leg lift is the first Katie Thompson (Cathleen's daughter). She was briefly played by Lauren O'Bryan before Julia Campbell took over the role. Pru is the one petting the horse in the intro.

Clint Ritchie thought it was out of character for Clint Buchanan as well. I remember an interview he did in Digest where he said the one story he didn't like was when the show made Clint a homophobe. He felt Clint would have stood up to bigotry, not be a part of it. I had a lot of respect for him for making that statement.

Knots Landing
For 20 years I was convinced that it was Teri Austin playing Sally's Friend on the phone. It wasn't until I read an interview with Lar Park Lincoln on a Knots website that I found out that it was Lar. I never would have guessed that. I also never understood why they wasted an actess of Lynne Moody's caliber and gave her little to no story during her last year.

Primetime Soaps
I remember watching Four Corners but I couldn't tell you a thing about it. All I remember is thinking it was very boring. I'd love to see Behind The Screen again. I was 14 when it was on so I probably thought it was very provocative at the time. All I remember of it is Janine Turner because she joined General Hospital shortly after its cancellation and I remembered her from Behind The Screen.

Primetime Soaps
One thing I always found interesting was that all four of the actors who made the jump from Secrets Of Midland Heights to King's Crossing ended up guest starring on Murder, She Wrote (but who in Hollywood didn't?) Doran Clark and Marilyn Jones did 3 episodes each while Linda Hamilton and Daniel Zippi each did one (Zippi was in the pilot but his part was basically a cameo as a mailman).

I believe Married: The First Year only lasted for 4 episodes. I've never seen the show itself but it does have a really beautiful opening theme song.

I remember when this show was on but it was cancelled after just 4 or 5 episodes.

Ryan's Hope Discussion Thread
I'm about two thirds of the way through the book and am loving it! As a couple of others have mentioned there are at least 2 people in the book who mistakenly say that Daniel Hugh Kelly left Ryan's Hope for Hardcastle & McCormick. He actually left because he got a role in the NBC drama Chicago Story which unfortunately only lasted for 13 episodes. Hardcastle & McCormick came along the following year. Then of course there was I Married Dora.......

I completely agree that Bobby and Lisa could have been something major because I felt the chemistry between Blair Underwood and Laura Carrington was off the charts. I always wondered why Bobby disappeared so suddenly, whether it was Underwood's choice or Paul Rauch's. Same with Laura Carrington, the last scene I remember of her was Lisa visiting her father in the hospital after she was rescued from her kidnapping. I'm not sure if she ever appeared again or was even mentioned. Lisa and Josh just seemed to disappear without a trace.- ABC Daytime
Here in Michigan our Detroit affiliate aired Edge Of Night at 10:30 in the morning right up until the final episode. I don't know how it did in the ratings but I have to imagine it would have done better had it followed General Hospital. In the Jeff Giles book Llanview in the Afternoon, Barbara Treutelaar who played Didi on One Life To Live said that they were paid $1000 and put up first class in hotels for those mall appearances.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Sadly, another One Life To Live actress has been lost to cancer. Bronwen Booth, who originated the role of Andy in 1989 passed away at the age of 59. I loved her portrayal of Andy and her pairing with Leonard Stabb's Hunter and was sorry when they were two of the dozen or so actors dismissed when Linda Gottlieb took over. When Andy returned a few years later played by Wendee Pratt, Andy was pretty much a brand new character and bore little resemblance to Bronwen's Andy. Deepest condolences to her family.- Dallas Discussion Thread
It was odd that Jack was written out after his ex-wife April came aboard but it was no surprise that Jamie was. I don't know why the show wanted her gone so badly but someone obviously did. That poor thing was killed off TWICE!- Dynasty Discussion Thread
When the CW version of Dynasty began I thought the first few episodes were dreadful but I stuck with it and I think the turning point was around episode 7 the Thanksgiving episode. They really amped up the crazy and from then on the tone of the show turned to a lot more comedic one liners and campy storylines and I was hooked. It ended up being one of my favorite shows and I looked forward to it every week.- Knots Landing
One bright spot to the whole Lynne Moody departure debacle is that after being killed off she ended up winning the Soap Opera Digest Award for Supporting Actress in a Prime Time Soap and I remember her acceptance speech, she was very happy to win because she said she didn't think she would. I was really happy that she did too.- Knots Landing
I remember that article with Lynne Moody. It was in TV Guide and she said it was frustrating being given so little to do. And then a few short months later she's killed off. The cast appeared on a talk show the next season and I remember an audience member asking Larry Riley about that TV Guide article and he said he hadn't read it but if she had said that then the show wouldn't keep her from going somewhere to be happy. It seemed to be a little shade throwing which then made me wonder just how well the two of them got along.- Falcon Crest
I always thought that Cole's wife Linda and Melissa should have had some Krystle and Alexis catfights like those two did in the pond or the mud but the show never gave Linda anything substantial to do which was a shame because I saw the actress on a Murder, She Wrote episode after she left FC and she played a vixen and played her quite well I might add.- FIRE!
Claudia actually did try to escape the La Mirage fire on Dynasty albeit off-screen. It took something like 11 or 12 episodes of season 7 for Blake to be exonerated of starting the fire but eventually Jackie recounted To Krystle how she saw Claudia open the door of her room and then the flames shot out from behind her. That's how they were able to determine that Claudia started the fire. I hated that plot device because of a) how badly the show treated Pamela Bellwood who had just given birth and b) for killing Claudia in such a grisly manner especially considering the fact that she was an original cast member.- Soap opera suicides
I believe Sherri Saum's character Keri Reynolds committed suicide on One LIfe To Live and Antonio was accused of murdering her.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
She is interviewed in Jeff Giles' book Llanview In The Afternoon. I don't recall Brenda ever getting even an exit scene. I think she just stopped appearing. BTW if you want to see her in a different role she did a movie called Troma's War shortly before her OLTL time. She's a plane crash survivor on an island where she and the other survivors battle terrorists trying to destroy America. She kicks some major butt in it!- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
I really liked the first Andy, Bronwen Booth and loved her with Leonard Stabb's Hunter. I was so furious when she returned alone and Hunter was made out to be an abuser. Wendee Pratt's version of the character was so different that it seemed like a completely different character altogether.- Edge of Night (EON) (No spoilers please)
I would recommend the storyline that got me hooked in 1979 which was the Winter Austen murder trial and the subsequent story with Nicole Cavanaugh. That was riveting television!- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Regarding the Ivan Kipling storyline, the other girl living in the house with Cassie, Rob, Danny, ect. was Annie Barnes who was played by Rebecca Schaeffer, the young actress who later starred on My Sister Sam and was murdered by an obsessed fan in 1989. Annie and Danny left town together in the fall of 1985. When he returned the following year I don't believe he ever mentioned Annie again. I also remember Giulietta, although I don't remember how she was written off the show. - One Life to Live Tribute Thread
