Why am I not surprised?! I joked to people that Trump was probably going to fly in to the WH from Mar-a-Lago on weekends. NYC-ers want him gone because the security street blocks and extra traffic and helicopters are driving people nuts!

It would be the height of irony if voters doomed a HRC administration because of e-mails and then we end up having a scandal-riven Trump White House. Bridgegate, Breitbart, foreign money/influence connections (don't forget about Russia!) and shilling for Trump Inc and not even sworn in yet? I can't help but feel like this is a harbinger for the future.

What's the deal with Giuliani? What are they doing with him these days? Since the days of that picture of him with a big fat cigar in his mouth while riding in a towncar, then those reports of his numerous foreign business dealings, I've heard next to nothing about him.

Of course, John Gotti used to be called the Teflon Don because charges would never stick but eventually even he was brought down by guess what TAX FRAUD! Someone needed to have hired an forensic accountant to do some deep digging into Trump's finances. Even that half-assed attempt turned up some bits of information. Just imagine what they could've turned up had they actually made an effort.

So while Trump is supposed to be focused on his transition, he's taking meetings with Indian businessmen regarding office Towers in India. Why am I not surprised?

I needed that laugh. @Vee The media needs to get their asses in gear and report each and everything with the attention they followed Hillary's e-mails over the last year. These cabinet appointments can do a great deal of damage to people's lives, literally. Yes, all media need to be held to account. Trump's diversion tactics worked effectively during the campaign, hopefully people's eyes are no open and on the alert for his hustle going forward.

Almost nothing has been interesting about this year's WTF. A friend of mine who is attending tells me the scheduling has been an utter mess. Kei looked spent today and seemed to have nothing to offer. We had Murray playing some loooonnng matches (including one against Kei days ago) and Djokovic with a quickie match today. I'm not sure I'm going to watch the final because I think the result is going to be predictable and I'm just not that interested in another Murray/Djokovic encounter. @Faulkner No problem, you should always feel good about rooting for your fave. Not everyone will agree but we all have our favorites. I can respect that.

This whole stirred up controversy is all to obscure the fact that Trump paid out a $25 Million settlement for fraud! He said he would fight vigorously months ago, but before this even made it to court, he settled! For all we know, he sent Pence there, knowing the likely reception he'd get from the audience and the opportunity it'd present for a 'controversy' so that he could divert people's attention away from the fact that Trump University was a fraud! Maybe several months from now, some of those tweets will be presented as exhibit A in a trial.

When you mentioned Haberman, I know exactly what you're talking about. Haberman has taken to Twitter and has been scolding people who booed Pence last night. Someone on twitter named PropaneJane (is that you ?) really read Haberman and I had to agree with every word. She asked Haberman where were her scolding words when people at NASCAR booed Michelle Obama? Where were Haberman's words when our current President Barack Obama was shouted down at the State Of The Union address with "You Lie" on national television? What about the numerous instances of disrespect and name calling that the current President and First Lady have quietly endured throughout their 8 years in the White House? Where were these scolding words when Trump himself insulted the President as well as various groups of people- NYT and Haberman were strangely quiet then. I don't blame you for cancelling your NYT subscription @JaneAusten, I read some of their online articles free through my library card but I haven't been happy with the way they reported many of the stories this election season. They backed away from following up on a lot. Perhaps they were afraid of being seen as not objective but their reporting was soft on the GOP candidates. One report on the contaminated soil in Indiana, no follow up on the HIV epidemic outbreak in Indiana both while Pence is governor. They went into Hillary's relationship with her mother, father, money, etc.-- no angle was dropped from the story of Hillary. Suddenly they got "brave" when it is too late to have any real impact. The bitter irony is that they've benefited from this election and its result because Trump tweeted out bitter words directed at the NYT after some article and someone has been using Trump's threats as a marketing tool. Yesterday, someone tweeted that NYT has gained thousands of new subscription over the last week or so. So, to paraphrase Les Moonves, it may be bad for the country but it's good for CBS...and clearly The New York Times. This thread moves so fast (I might be one of those reasons why, I post lots of posts and articles) and maybe sometimes people may skim posts as a result, leading to some misunderstandings. Also, it's just been a brutal election season, in a brutal year.

I'm not too hopeful about the attention span of some of the populace. I was just reading about the $25 million settlement that Trump paid for the Trump University fraud case after Donald Trump vehemently vowed to fight it and not settle (out of principle) and after insulting a federal judge, Judge Curiel. There are people posting messages claiming not to have known about this case and blaming the media for not getting the message out. I know the media has been derelict in many areas but I've read about this case for months! Are these fools serious??!

He also got lectured delivered by the actor who played Aaron Burr, sir. Attending a musical where one of the most popular songs features the lyric "Immigrants, we get the job done" when your running mate wants to deport millions and build a wall. Also, being known as a homophobic man and governor of a state that had a huge HIV outbreak due to what can be desribed as negligence (among other things) attending a musical where the main character is played by a gay, HIV+ actor. That Pence is that clueless should worry folks.

If you're talking about the Angus and Margaret McKechnie haunting story, that storyline was already underway by this episode. I'm not sure if the actual storyboard for how that Hal/Barbara scene lays out visually is a writer's choice or is it something the director would push. Remember this is mostly editing that makes the scene look like this visually, which means it was done in post production. Someone could've easily been someone's 'bright idea' to try something new, there have been other times before Marland where someone tinkered with special effects and you look at it now and it looks goofy. Back then, someone probably thought it was cool but in '88, this looks more like a home movie that got 'tinkered with'. Someone needs to ask Colleen Zenk about this!
