  1. I wish people could finally admit that Obama was held to a higher standard, not of his own making but because he is a man of color who was in the highest office in the land and had to constantly prove that he was in accordance with the law by submitting to constant checks and balances.

Meanwhile the bar has been set artificially low for Trump, who, unchecked, often acts alone and often not in the best interests of the American people.

    For example,

Are you sure? Because I laugh at Mel Brooks. And I'm not laughing.

Only if you're on the outside looking in.  When you're in it, it can't be too amusing.

Maybe a Stanley Kubrick film would be a better analogy.

I saw the headline late this morning and am glad you posted this because it reminded me to read the actual article.  Yesterday, I posted about this journalist's death so yeah, it came as a bit of a surprise when I saw the headlines about his demise being untrue.

I hope that the Ukrainian authorities can uncover more evidence that will help put an end to these contract killings of Russian journalists.  In the meantime, I also worry that by boasting that he will "live to 96" and "dance on Putin's grave", that Mr. Babchenko is somehow 'poking the bear'.

Hopefully the Ukrainian authorities can get the assistance they will likely need to protect Mr. Babchenko.

She tweets so much like Trump. Ugh. Why do I have a feeling that she may end up getting a job in his administration.

And like with Trump, people are lured into believing that she won't succumb to her worst impulses ('oh look, there's Trump acting presidential, let's put him on the list for a Nobel Peace prize') despite years of evidence to the contrary.

  5. Lest some fall under the misbegotten impression that the George W. Bush administration was somehow benign, here's a refresher about how W.'s administration failed to fully prosecute or otherwise hold the makers of OxyContin accountable for their spread of the opioid epidemic.

The company was allowed to plead down to a misdemeanor with no admission of guilt, despite the company knowing and suppressing evidence of the highly addictive nature of their product.

And Guiliani getting booed at Yankee Stadium on his birthday. Not really in the same league as the other 2, but overall satisfying.

Oh, I saw that on the news and it sounded great to me.:P

They are shameless as hell!  I don't follow but somehow I'm often seeing some of their pics in social media.

  8. @Soapsuds might agree, LOL.

Right now, I am watching Lindsay Frost's son, Lucas Giolito of the Chicago White Sox, pitch against my Cleveland Indians. Our radio announcers were just talking about his mother's soap career and how her father played Susan's dad on Seinfeld.

Giolito also played Detective Nick Castello, James Stenbeck's mole in the OPD.

I didn't know that Lindsey Frost got remarried a few years ago?  Also, why does Bing have a picture of Maura West with Frost's name?

  10. Kristolyn Lloyd (Dayzee, B&B) talks about her role in Dominique Morriseau's play Pumpkin, co-starring Simone Missick in an interview with Playbill.

I doubt that Nike will sell this to the consumer market, so it doesn't really matter whether it's to everyone's taste.

Besides, with the bevy of sexual harassment and misogyny issues that the company is now having, one catsuit is the least of their problems right now.

The structural change is similar, yeah, but that's where it ends. Miller-Boyett simply sniped Valerie to turn her show into proto-Full House.

I don't know that any of them would do the show without her, even now. For one, Roseanne owns it and I can't see her giving it up. For another I imagine they're all probably just utterly done with this.
