  1. Thank you, Khan. I know you never mean to be dismissive. I actually don't remember you saying as much but I think for others (at least those who had good intentions and weren't trolls), it was wishful thinking. Many people weren't aware of just how heinous Trump was in his life before the election. With the exception of PBS, most of the media did a poor job of giving an honest accounting of who Trump really is, instead they chose to highlight every minutiae of Clinton's life story. And we're all the worse off for it.
  2. Pretty, is mainly what I remember. Not bad but maybe because VR made such an inimitable impression on the role and also, I knew that it was temporary, I really didn't focus on her too much-- she seemed very much like a placeholder in the role, from the little that I can recall.
  3. I remember Kent Masters, for some reason but I don't remember Dawn McMillan.
  4. It will still be a bad look for the ATP to keep him onboard. If they want to enforce rules, rules, rules and they keep this guy on, they deserve not to be taken seriously by any of the players.
  5. Uh, what is a "tennis kingpin"?
  6. Are there any videos of when Dawn McMillan filled in for Victoria Rowell in the role of Drucilla? From what I saw on IMDB, she was supposedly on in 1996, which was a super busy year for me, so I probably missed this when it aired.
  7. ^ I hate to sound like a (very) broken record hitting the same groove, over and over again but when I mentioned how much of a danger Donald Trump would pose to people's lives if elected, I got more than one person suggesting it might not be as bad as I was suggesting. Well, it's every bit as bad and he is every bit the danger that I spoke of before his election. I don't know what else to say when I see these articles like the one above. It was never just going to affect Mexicans and black people.
  8. His constituents appear to want him gone.
  9. It's kind of cool to see episodes that aired on the same day decades ago. I'm not sure whether this has been posted in the past but I saw this courtesy of the WLS blog and thought that it is certainly worthy of a viewing.
  10. Fabio can be a complete ass but he is a complete ass capable of playing some beautiful tennis sometimes.
  11. My guess is that neither Fognini nor Lajovic will be playing Barcelona or whichever tournament they were next scheduled to play.
  12. I've seen Kim use it once or twice in an endearing way.
  13. It says something about the state of U.S. politics that I'm actually surprised that an arrest has been made, any at all.
  14. The atonement comment was kinda tongue in cheek but I figured that maybe some of the actors from former CBS soaps might already be well known to some of the casting agents for these shows. In any case, it's fun to see some former soap stars from CBS soaps on The Good Fight, which I'm really enjoying!
  15. The funny thing is that, in the episode that I posted above Tom actually uses it with Frannie and I know Barbara used it once with Paul. Was Marland the writer who started using "kiddo"?
  16. Blue Bloods has had Colleen Zenk on in the past. Is CBS trying to atone for canceling two of their most historic soaps? They seem to hire many former soap actors (Scott Bryce, Martha Byrne, Colleen Zenk to name a few) quite frequently for primetime stints.
  17. It would be interesting to find out how many Easter episodes ATWT actually did (or for soaps in general) but as far as I can see on YouTube, this seems to be a rare one.
  18. Can't remember the last time I really read anything written by Ben Rothenberg and his tweets I've already learned to take with a grain of salt. It's unfortunate that expectations have to be lowered where tennis journalism/journalism is concerned but as a soap fan who still watched regularly until a few years ago, I guess I realized that we're all just going on low expectations these days. For me, the post pressing question about today is whether Flavia Pennetta says anything to Carlos Moya if/when she sees him in passing.
  19. Zemek had no choice, LOL, everyone screenshots things these days.
  20. Looks like all those who penciled in Rafa into the finals may have gotten ahead of themselves.
  21. Mevedev looks like he's somewhere between quiet panic and exasperation and the twilight zone. All that patience that he has been exhibiting throughout the tournament seems to have dissipated after his lead in the first set crumbled. He did hold serve in the second, so there's that. It'll be interesting to see whether Medvedev will be able to stage a Lajovic-like comeback in the second set. Nope.
  22. I'm surprised that no one has tried to blame his marriage as a factor. Isn't that the de facto fallback when a married ATP player's ranking slides?
  23. Well, this sure is a twist to the entire saga at City Ballet.
  24. When done seamlessly, product placement can truly be effective. The problem is that, most times, it's tossed in as an afterthought and is not really organic to the scene(s) where the product is placed. You would think that a company such as P&G, there would be special attention to how products are placed creatively (no running water, I guess, meant no product placement for dishwashing soap) but the product placement that ATWT attempted to do in it's final years was so clunky and bad, it was laughable. With the coterie of household products that P&G sells and all those storylines and scenes that took place inside the home and office, you'd of thought it would've been a slam dunk but it wasn't. I just don't understand how you get that wrong, but they managed to get it wrong.
  25. Tecquan Richmond (GH) co-stars alongside an ensemble cast in the slasher movie Thriller apparently now streaming on Netflix. Watch a scene from the new slasher film Thriller
