Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
It's been absolutely abysmal for a very long time, and bordering on unwatchable. It's been relentless misery and it's hard to understand why they've gone down this road with such seeming determination. There's just been no relief from the darkness, and the fact that Kevin has been seen as that just proves my point. He's a psychopathic violent ex-con, and that he has been perceived as a light-hearted part of the show speaks volumes.

You mean Ray I suppose? And while I certainly won't complain that this awful story is coming to an end it feels oddly anti-climactic how it ends. It almost feels like they wanted it over as quick as possible. Could it be that this whole story has become so unpopular that they re-wrote the end and took the easy way out and now they try to bury it while the attention is focused on the whole "Corriedale" extravaganza? 🤔 Or maybe they learned their lesson from the Tom/Belle story which they dragged out far too long.- What Are You Listening To?

I'm finally back in Beckindale in 1980, and it feels like putting on a comfortable pair of slippers after a long walk. 🥰 With all the murder, mayhem, lies, scandals and psychopaths on current Emmerdale it's pure pleasure going back in time to when Beckindale was a sleepy little village, without a Dingle in sight. It's feel-good tv of the highest calibre. Amos is showing unexpected gardening skills on his new allotment, much to the surprise of Sam and Seth. As per usual with Amos he goes all in and Henry has to deal with the consequences. ☺️ At the Longthorn farm dad Clifford is faced with the fact that his son Andy doesn't want to take over the farm. He wants to go to university. His sister Carol on the other hand is keen to be a farmer, but Clifford feels it's not a woman's job. As you could expect though, Carol steps up during a crisis and successfully delivers a calf when Clifford slips and hurts his back. It's not always subtle writing.... 🤭 It feels so good to be back! 🥰- What Are You Listening To?
