  1. Even Jeff Hordley is tired of the writing for Cain. Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley calls for Cain Dingle changes after death storyline I have the perfect storyline for Cain: I would most definitely tune in for that!
  2. I love this so much. Barbra at, or close to, her peak vocally, and when you have the greatest voice in the world what else can you do except do a duet with yourself.... During the 50s, 60s and well into the 70s it was common practice here to translate foreign-language songs into Swedish. And with Burt Bacharach being such a successful composer his songs obviously got that treatment as well...
  3. B&B is the last soap standing here in Sweden. Days of Our Lives ran for a very long time as well, but it's been a few years since it became available only through streaming. Neither General Hospital nor Y&R really took off here. One soap that did become popular however was Sunset Beach. It has even been re-run at least once, possible twice.
  4. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-64563839 Any thoughts? Personally I'm not sure this is a good idea. "Fawlty Towers" already raised eyebrows back in the 1970s, and with people nowadays being offended by practically everything this sounds very risky. And it will be hard to re-create the chemistry between Cleese, Prunella Scales, Andrew Sachs and Connie Booth.
  5. Holy crap! Is that Madonna??!! What has she done to herself. That Pete Burns comparison is eerily accurate.
  6. I envy you.... I did watch, and I wish I hadn't. It was embarrassing. The performances were bad, the sound was bad and the person(s) who came up with the script for the hosts should be fired on the spot. It was cringeworthy. 🤢 The absolute highlight was when Cornelia Jakobs appeared and performed her winner from last year. (Although this year's contestants might not have been so pleased, because her performance just emphasized how awful they were....)
  7. We start our long selection process here tonight.... 28 songs spread out over 4 weeks, and most of them will, in all likelihood, not be very good. I think we had one of our best entries for a long time last year with "Hold me closer" and Cornelia will be a hard act to follow. Loreen, winner of the ESC for Sweden in 2012 ("Euphoria") enters again this year, but most of the other contestants are virtual unknowns, at least to me.
