  1. Susan has said that she wasn't happy during the time her mother was writing the show.  Said everyone was coming to her if they had issues with the writing, and then Bill would complain at home.  She mentioned last year that she had to have therapy for it, and the show paid for it.

    Re Rosemary Forsyth, I did like her, much better than I did Susan Oliver anyway.  Still, she wasn't as strong a presence as Susan Flannery, who will always be "real" Laura to me.

    Did anyone see the chat? Thoughts?

    I enjoyed it.  I did wonder why they kept panning to Roger Davis, even when he wasn't talking.  Was that some kind of joke because of his reputation as a screen-hog, lol?  Roger seemed to spill some tea about Don Briscoe being "in love" with David Henesy's mother.

    When was Mike sorased? The Daytime Serial recaps say Uncle Bill's helping him with chemistry experiments in early 1973 . September 1973 describes him as a teen. November 1973 says he's in college.

    MIKE WAS BORN IN NOVEMBER 1968.

    I knew the sorasing was really bad, but this is even more insane than I thought, especially since it's under Bill Bell.

    Stuart Lee was playing Mike when Mickey had his heart attack in 1973.  Stuart was reportedly 15 at that time.

    Oh yeah I saw that as I was watching the last 25 minutes or so, lol.

    I think that maybe Liz might be used to being in a three person discussion. More than that, perhaps her attention drifts a little.

    @victoria foxton

    She was also drinking wine, lol.

    @slick jones The first Joyce Jordan appearance was 1940.  She was on with her then husband, Erik Rolf.

  7. Despite the glitches,  I enjoyed the stories they were telling.  A couple of them were quite funny.  I was not surprised to hear that Gil Gerard was not pleasant to work with, lol.  Nice to hear the opposite was true of Armand Assante.  Sounds like TD was a great working experience for everyone.

    And I don't know how it's possible that Frank Telfer is 76 years old!

    Thanks so much for that! That's all kinds of awesome! In regards to the the Norma Greenman story on The Guiding Light, I love how, basically, her jealousy gets operated on.I love the 40s!

    I was wondering what sort of operation she had.  I was thinking lobotomy at first, lol.
