  1. I haven't read anything about Nancy Reardon. I don't know why they didn't use her, either, when Katie was on the show in the mid 80's. Gregory Abels (Art) is a director and acting coach. He runs GATE (Gregeory Abels Training Ensemble). He is also a Zen teacher and poet.
  2. Nancy Reardon (Kathleen) is currently the store manager of The Drama Book Store in New York City. She is also an acting coach. Nancy with playwright A.R. Gurney in March, 2011. Another photo of Nancy.
  3. Kathleen's oldest daughter, Deirdre, is played by Andrew Robinson's daughter Rachel. She is currently a singer/songwriter in Portland Oregon. Her website Rachel Starshine Robinson Her music video
  4. Nancy Addison and the Frank/Seneca/baby storyline This is from Ryan's Bar Online. At the old Soapnet forum there were some other quotes (which are now gone)from Nancy Addison about how her objection made them wrap the story sooner by having her tell Frank earlier than planned because Nancy took her displeasure with the direction of this storyline to the writers to complain that Jill would not do that. I get the feeling that Nancy saw Jill as a woman of great personal integrity. I've never read how Nancy felt about the Ken George Jones affair and I can't help but wonder if she diasgreed with the writers about it, too. Not about the affair itself – but if she possibly felt that Jill would have ended the engagement to Frank first or asked Frank for some kind of break/breathing room. Is Nancy Addison Carrying Her Independence Too Far?
  5. Carl, the SOD recaps are great. Thank you! John Sanderford (Frank #5) thought Frank becoming a grandfather was “insane”. Future of 'Ryan's Hope' in doubt?/John Sanderford August 22, 1987
  6. On the current Soapnet storyline of Jill considering an abortion – Nancy Addison felt that Jill would have had the abortion. Nancy Addison/March 13, 1977
  7. She didn't need a lot of sympathy - and that's what made her sympathetic. Although it was painful for her (and me LOL) to watch, she knew Pat had to find his own way - he had to learn his own lessons where Delia was concerned. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin Deas and Jody Catlin's daughter Yvette Deas' website. Yvette played young school girl Mary in flashbacks on Ryan's Hope in 1977. She is a figurative painter/artist. http://www.yvettedeas.org/index.html

  9. Yes, they both would have been working together again on Search For Tomorrow. This says Michael Corbett began on SFT around July of 1982. Soap Opera Scene/July 16, 1982 In the same news archives Soap Opera Scene Channel Chatter that told of Pat Falken-Smith decision to end Karen Morris-Gowdy's role on RH also had a item that Ellen Barrett had just taken over on SFT. Soap Opera Scene/December 24, 1983
  10. This is what I've heard on the Soapnet board - Roscoe Born and Daniel Pilon were brought back so they could kill Joe off for good (Joe killed Max and Max planted a bomb that a very short time later killed Joe as he potected Siobhan from the explosion)- and free Siobhan up for new love interests. However, the show was cancelled a few weeks before it aired - and the storyline leading up to Joe's death was already in motion on screen. I don't know anything about Betty and Jack except that she was written off a few months later. They then paried Jack up with Leslie Easterbrooke's character for a time.
  11. 1986/1987 **** This should read Tichina – not Tichine
  12. 1982/1983 *** I think they said Chicago actress because she was “discovered” as Northwestern University
  13. 1980/1981 This was in the paper around the same time Daniel Hugh Kelly left RH.
  14. I had typed these up and was putting them over at Soapnet just as they announced the message forums were going to be closing. I've noticed that not all the information given is 100% correct - and some columns have misspelled names like Ilene Kristin or Julie (Campbell) instead of Julia. 1975/1976 .
  15. Although, this newspaper column says that the first several months of Pat Falken-Smith's tenure got off to a good start and there was an improvement in ratings and in show quality. 20. Faith Catlin had been unhappy on the show, too. According to this 1981 newspaper interview, she didn't like that Faith had been in danger every Friday. Her other comments, about how actors aren't given any responsibility or choice, and likening actors to children begin told what to do, makes me think she was better suited for directing – which she eventually did. BTW- This piece also said she quit- and that was not true. Faith Catlin stockpiles theater credits/1981
