ALL: Temporary Replacements
Your welcome, can't wait to post it. She was interesting. She only had 1 scene and 75 % of it was just her voice since she was calling Scott from Los Angeles. They pretty much styled her hair like Lauren's and added (at least what i think ) a bit of red in it. I think she tried doing Tracey Bregman's nasal voice back then too.

Sometime in the furture i will post Y&R April 17 1991 that has Caryn Richman subbing for Tracey Bregman as Lauren.

I think ( and this is just my opinion until Deedeee can answer this question) that Jack started his weeping period after Nikki miscarried the first baby. It's really interesting watching him try to act like Terry. I wonder how Jack's stories in the early 90's would have been written if Terry never left. For one thing i don't think Victor would be as unstoppable as he has been for nearly all of Bergman's run. I think we all would have gotten the Victor/Jack brawl we wanted to see, since Braeden and Lester were drama free to each other.

Yes it's all very confusing. I think Kelly Garrison, who played hilary, even played Rebecca harper in flashback's. Bill liked using some of the same cast members over again so it makes sense. As confusing as these stories got, It's really a shame how we will never get the same type of super couple struggling to stay together field. as we did back then with Danny and Cricket.

Also, Vivian's wasn't Rebecca's Harpers (the woman David killed in Jamica) sister but best friend. I have another question regarding the "some secrets best not to be revealed" thing. Paul never found out about Sheila actually being alive and living in LA, after the fire and everything right? I don't think Lauren ever choose to tell him that, but i do think it's weird that During a couple episodes from November 1993 i posted a while ago, when Lauren,Cricket and Paul are mourning Scott. Lauren was actually going to tell Paul, what happen in Catalina on B&B, but had to stop and say she would tell him another time. What gets me there is that why would Lauren all of a sudden want to tell Paul about Sheila being alive, even if Scott were already dead? They made it sound like she had forgotten that she hadn't told Paul about Sheila being alive.

Carl, Rebecca was that blonde hair woman who was on from 1992-1993, who helped Michael with his schemes against Danny and Cricket. She's the one, (as you will see in this video) that drugged Danny's drink and brought in another woman and photographer and made it look like Danny was having an affair with this woman and Cricket would see the photos. I don't know how she and Michael met, but i do know that she was a big Danny fan, which was an advantage for Michael. I guess later like all other woman with guilty conscience, she turned against him, but he did kill her, not sure how though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sK-sMRT_OSk&list=PL40B53AF463FB7081&index=125&feature=plpp_video Regarding Vivian, that confrontation that they showed in the November 13 1990 episode, was the only time you saw David and Vivian in the same room, If you watched the next episode i posted November 14, 1990. You see David board the plane to Cricket and Danny's wedding along with everybody else like nothing happen. So her death was obviously offscreen, but I guess later they said what happen and Nina did find out too. Then remember they brought in vivian's brother and thats how Nina found out that Vivian was her real name, since she was using the name Kathy. I perosnally wished they showed David electrocute Vivian, but i guess they wanted it to be more mysterious if they didn't show it. I don't think Bill plotted that part well IMO. I would have loved to see how she was supposedly electrocuted, considering she was fully clothed and not even in the bathtube when he entered her room. Hopefully they show flashbacks on another episode i don't have yet.

Thanks again for sharing this Carl! I think these recaps cover the weeks of May 9-13 and May 16-20, 1988. It's interesting how they developed Leanna as a character. They almost made it seem like she was suppose to be this dark character with a past connection to another character (Steve Lassiter) but somehow later they kept her for more comedic scenes. Typical Condescending Victor being mad over Leanna calling of that dinner party. So when exactly was Scott's first month on the show? i recall seeing an episode from April 4 1988. and he was caring for Nina after she had Phillip jr. but is there a synopses talking about Scott's first airdate? I bet that scene with Jill being upset over becoming a grandmother was hysterical. Im surprised that she was actually still having an affair with David at this point. There was also an episode sometime later, where David tries to massage her, but she puts him on blast. i wonder why she started to have ill feeling towards him. This whole thing with Brad makes him out to be more of a goldigger or whatever you wanna call it. I think it was always difficult to know whether he was the good guy or bad guy.

ALL: They Almost Became
It is kind of true haha. I know that there was a soaptalk interview where Melissa said that they were spreading rumors about her joining other soaps, and that Passions was one of them. I could kind of see Melissa doing that show, but MacKenzie Westmore was the perfect Sheridan. I'd wish she would return to soaps, but i know shes doing well with her face off show.

She sure was. Robin Mattson would have killed that role, heck they could have gotten someone like Joanna Johnson for that role.

Yeah i don't know too much about those too, I know Finola Hughes, but i couldn't say what role they wanted her for? perhaps Grace Bennett or Ivy Crane?

Would you happen to have any articles about casting for Passions back in 1998-1999? I'm curious to know if Reily was going to use any big soap vets for the roles on that show. For some reason i could picture someone like Peter Barton being on Passions and in the role as police cheif Sam Bennett. James Hyde was great in that role, but i guess after seeing clips of Barton on sunset beach where he had to do that weird scene being dressed as a woman, I feel like he could adapt well to the weirdness that was Passions.

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
How long were Stephanie and Jack together after Stephanie broke him and Sally up with that fake pregnancy scandal? I guess that the return of Adam was a long term in the making since i have heard Sally make a reference to him an another episode other than this one. Too bad that Bradley botched it up. I miss this Stephanie. This was the woman who you could go for advice to, but had an edge when it came to her enemies.(Brooke, Sally,Sheila.)

It seems like the Forresters never find out what other people have done to destroy their family. They pointed the finger at Brooke when it came to Sheila changing Bridget's paternity, and of course we have this thing right now where they are not gonna let everyone else know that Bill changed Steffy's result. (Not that it would honestly matter now).

Thanks for sharing that article. How shameful that the Abbots are pretty much non-existent now. I loved reading about the breakfast scenes. I didn't realize that they served them real food for those scenes. It must have been nice to not have to worry about getting a bite to eat before going to the studio, knowing that you would get to eat while doing your job. haha. Aww reading about Terry Lester during those scenes, made me sad. He sounded like a really funny great guy. Besides Jerry's conflict with Brenda (Dickson) it seems like (with the exception of Bergman on occasion) the Abbott's in real life are the most drama free people on the set of Y&R.

That's perfect! Also If i were writing, I'd reboot her rivalry with Jill. Those two are always hilarious together! I'ts sometimes hard to imagine Jess being such a sweetie to Barbara when the camera weren't rolling (which knowing Jess she probably liked her a lot) cause Jill is always such a bitch to Leanna.

Thanks! I know there used to be an episode from May 1990 on youtube when Lauren miscarried her first child, and she met Sheila for the first time, but a side from helping Lauren get care (funny to say that LOL) all she did was make (suspicious) faces at Lauren and Paul. I guess the other scene you were talking about was when Lauren wanted to throw a surprise party for Scott, but he didn't show up cause he was out drinking with Sheila. The scene where Lauren confronts Sheila about it is still on youtube and it's one of my favorite clips. A side from their first lab catfight, i was shocked when another youtuber said that he had episodes from Y&R 1991 where Lauren slapped Sheila. That's interesting that they were (well Lauren) physical before the big stuff happen.
