B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
The show was all over the place here. but so much better at the multi- storytelling part where is this B&B now? I miss Sally and Darla Stephanie was still acting like Stephanie here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCpplBOjrGM Too bad Bradley lost interest in this hispanic family and the entire show in general. I still don't get the casting of Justin Torkildsen as Rick, he's not even good looking.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYZS-fs-Eks

and some more It's funny how this is when the show went down the tubes, but this is still better than today....I can't believe how likeable Victor was even though he;s the reason Brad and Ashley are fighting in these clips. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLV0nLHBmPE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw9pG_IUmaQ

never mind....I don't he uploaded the clip with the song for whatever reason There's also this though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmwTT5da0Ko&list=LLzyLXehReIDasWwRu7wvfBg Kevin is still a psycho here and he just had sex with Lily and gave her the STD. Dru with a bad afro here, At the end Victoria (some of Heather Tom's final scenes) has a scene with Damon, had know idea they interacted and to be honest i still have no clue exactly what Damon's purpose on the show was. The most interesting thing is that Donnelly Rhodes apparently came back as Phillip during that week I'm guessing as one of Kay's ghosts? oh yeah also Ashley going crazy over the blanket. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q07orMb5koY&list=LLzyLXehReIDasWwRu7wvfBg

To this day I don't think people are aware that Jill and Victor had a fling. It's a shame that the show didn't do more with those 2 cause I think Jill would have been one of the only women to finally put Victor in his place. Your website is still amazing! Are you just posting from old magazines you already have or do you ever order old issues for yourself?

Interesting.....I haven't really seen alot of JVA Gloria, Kevin looks so weird in that clip. Yes that's Cam Giagandet as Daniel. I wish there were more clips of him as Daniel. He became a pretty popular actor after his brief Y&R stint landing roles in the first Twilight and Burlesque with Cher and Christina Aguilera.

I didn't know Saul proposed to Sally It's a shame they never had anything going between those too. This story with Zach seems like it has so much action to it and for some reason doesn't strike me as the type of story you would see on B&B. I get reminded all the time how Ridge just about hated every man in town. That scene with Stephanie removing the ring sounds so heartfelt. It's a shame we lost some of that side of Stephanie years later.

Thanks again for these great recaps Carl! It's still so weird how crazy Leanna was early on in her run and how she was able to become such a fun character in just a few short years. I think the episode is still online where Amy goes around town asking the men about Nina. It's so funny how Ashley and Traci teamed up to plot against Leanna, and Victor was much more tolerable back then, also funny hearing how Scott and Lauren helped Traci with Brad. I think this was the last year Brad was more of a romantic hero, then he just became a self centered gigolo. Hey Carl, do you have any SOD's from 1990? I would love to see some of those recaps if possible? I posted a few episodes from July 1992 that have those scenes with Jill and Nina. You should check them out!

It's just one of the many reasons why Taylor and her brats are such hypocrites when it comes to the Logans. I still never get why Taylor was always made out to be the saint that she was. I mean I liked her better in the old days than today, but it's so ridiculous how many things that she got away with... I was surprise that Lauren was even thinking of Eric here, since I thought it was not long after that Brooke caught her and Ridge in the steamroom.....I still think it was such a waste to send Lauren to B&B and no one had a Nikki/Brad/Lauren triangle or even a Paul/Chris/Danny/Lauren/Phyllis quintet in mind. I am definitely going to post those B&B episodes ASAP, I will see about ATWT/GL. I don't really watch those 2 but I will maybe make an exception. I kind of just skimmed though those episodes just to see if they were any Y&R/B&B promos I haven't seen.

I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but I just wanted to delve into something. The two 1995 Y&R episodes I just got also came with the rest of the CBS soaps from those dates so I got to also see (which I will upload soon for you guys to see) 2 full B&B episodes from February 1 and October 10, 1995. The October 10 episode featured that bizarre story arc of Eric and Taylor all of a sudden becoming romantically involved. There are these scenes where Taylor is talking to James about how close she and Eric have gotten and Eric then surprises Taylor with her own office since she started to work at Forrester as the employee psychiatrist. Not only that but Ridge was also planning to throw a party for Eric just so he could meet new women. There is a scene when he calls Lauren all the way from G.C (interesting how Lauren wasn't on the Y&R episode before this one, even though she was leaving anyway) just to invite her to this party, and after they hang up Lauren also seems interested in Eric (which we know actually did happen later) They even did a cheestastic promo during the Y&R episode, one of those "whose that man" promo with that cheesy seductive hip hop music that featured Eric with all his women (Stephanie, Sally and Taylor). What the heck was up with all these women pining after Eric at this point? and more importantly did they even make it a big deal about or even have Stephanie find out that Eric kissed Taylor?? I mean it wouldn't have been that big of a deal that much since Eric wasn't married but It should have made Stephanie start to distrust Taylor a bit if she knew. despite all that ridiculousness the show was leaps and bounds better compared to now...

You know as much as I admire Bill Bell, I think it was obvious that by the time he had that interview he was already sort of "losing it" I mean I Just think Agnes Nixon just did so much better than Bill during her Emmy legends interview. I know people hated the interviewer for not asking more "intelligent" questions but I just love how Agnes shows her passion and enthusiasm while giving her interview and she really gave the viewers in in depth analysis of soap operas and why they are (or were) so important and even educational. I always wished Bill would have delve more info on the history of Y&R besides talking about the first few years with the Brooks and Fosters etc... I would have loved to listened to him talk about introducing the Abbotts and Victor/Nikki etc.... Also I liked how at the end of Agnes's interview where they ask her to give her opinions on different writers and actors she has worked with, they asked her to talk about almost every key important actor on AMC/OLTL (Susan Lucci, Ruth Warrick, Mary Fickett, Erika Slezak, Robin Strasser) but when they asked Bill to make comments on his co-workers/actors they mainly just asked him about actors on Days like Doug Williams and Deidre Hall. He should have asked him about the actors on Y&R/B&B I would have loved to have heard Bill talk about Jeanne, Jess Walton, Braeden, MTS, Jerry Douglas, Peter Bergman,Susan Flannery, Darlene Conley, John McCook etc...

IT was great, but I have to say I was a little shocked that it was soo short...and unfortunately i don't have the next episode that continues which probably shows more But still, this is probably indeed the one fight that has been sacred from youtube and once I got the episode I had to share right away. I love when Katherine keeps slapping Jill
