Wasn't Ryan in Christine's 1999-2001 opening?, I know he was in another one but i can't remember who began it? I know it lasted till spring 2002, WAY after he died.(Then again it's not as bad as keeping Rex in the 1995 openings into a year after his death) Thanks for uploading the Lauren 1990 opening with Skip and Carol, I had almost forgotten about that opening. I still love Nikki's final shot where she swings her hair around,and smiles into the camera.

I never really understood why Danny led the opening during 1988-1990. I can see why they had Nikki and Jill lead them, since at the time they were Y&R's too leading women. They even shared a mid-bumper together from 1988-1989. I'm sure lots of fans wee a little upset when she didn't make it in there, even though at the time it was because Bill knew she wasn't going to be on the show for any longer. Why wasn't Diane (Alex) included into Y&R's Jazzy opening? she was still on contract i presume? and didn't leave the show until February 2001. Very weird that she didn't make it, but Nina's new BF Tomas did and he left when Nina did before Diane.

Thanks for posting this article about Brenda carl! I love her Ashley, even if she did play it differently than Eileen Thats very sad about her father, i had no idea. It's funny how she was on B&B I think she would have done good with Kristen too back then (or even now) i think Teri Ann Lynn looked like her a lot too. It's funny how she talk about maintaining to Eileen's strength's when the irony is that she was a totally different Ashley. not that it was a bad thing.

Thanks for posting that Carl!, I PM'd that guy on youtube if he has any classic Y&R episodes himself to upload (since he posted the commercial breaks from a few 1994 episodes) but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.... I have a question regarding the Cole story, Did Nikki realize that Eve was his mother? When i read old messages from the google archieves, fans were complaining that Nikki seemed to have forgotten all about the Horrors that Eve put her through and didn't put 2 and 2 together and figure out Eve was Cole's mom. Apparently there was also an episode when Eve called the ranch and Nikki spoke to her without any fear at all. Considering then it was only 10 years since the hell Nikki had been through with Eve, it shouldn't have been so hard for Nikki to figure that out.

I'm very sorry sheilafan. I guess because of that song they play when Ryan and Victoria dance is causing some countries to have that video blocked . I know you told me the same thing about the December 10, 1991 #8 episode. SInce im still kind of new to uploading videos, i really dont know how to work around those things yet I know May 14 1993 #5 has no sound cause of the Neil/Dru honeymoon video song, I would appreciate it if someone were to tell me how to fix those problems.

It sounds like one of Y&R's earliest music cues but i had never heard it before i saw this episode. It fits in so perfectly with the dialogue and scenery, and considering i feel like starting around late 1993 is when they started adding in more "Primetimy tunes" and sort of began doing away with more of their 70's music. I was curious. Did Y&R do a special 20th anniversary show back in 1993 (Like AMC for example) It doesn't look like Y&R does a lot of anniversary specials. I get trying to be different on that part but i wonder if that made longtime viewers angry that they didn't get special flashback shows like the Nixon soaps. I would also like to know what were some of the least popular stories on Y&R in the 70's and 80's. I personally don't think there could be many since i feel like some of the reasons Bill's later 80's and 90's stories were a little messy was because he was never a fan of the hour format for the show.

I don't know why but there is something about that pairing that makes me feel a little sick inside. It has nothing to do with the age difference because this is totally in character for Jill (at that time) to fall for younger men, but i don't know, it seems too cliched that they pair the best looking guy on the show at that time, with the show's snob/cougar. This clip is hilarious though, i'm sure they had scenes like this with Brenda as Jill when Don first started. when Ryan came on, did people actually think they would try to chem test him with Jill later? I guess they started interacting only when he started dating Nina, as i read in Carl's SOD 1992 synopses that Jill wanted to make sure he was right for Phillip as a father figure. The dinner scenes with Victor,Leanna,Nikki and Douglas are great. Also this episode has the Nina "worn out tramp" comment said by Jill that was deleted off of youtube a long time ago. Unfortunately this is only one out of my 2 classic episodes i have from 1989. I didn't even realize that i was going to get them, but i guess the seller forgot to edit these episodes out from his video or something LOL. The next episode after this one has a scene with Jill and Terry's Jack. I haven't seen them together before, and they were pretty great together. But deedee sort of has a point saying that Terry had better chemistry with Brenda's JIll. I promise i will upload it soon though.

Oh yes, i remember seeings clips of Michael and Victoria hooking up. Heather started it, and Amelia tried to continue it. I think that weird scene is still online where Victoria (One of Amelia's first episodes) tries to come on to Michael and Lauren walked in. Do you think Heather's Victoria would have been a good match for Tracey as Lauren. I never have seen any scenes with Tracey and Heather together, but i think it would have been fun seeing them spar over Michael. Kimberlin needs to come back to B&B. I can't believe her return to daytime was a pointless role on AMC. I know she's probably very happy with her life right now doing other stuff, but hopefully one day she will return.

Sigh.... That makes me want Diane back on the show even more.....Stupid writers Even after that horrible scene a few months ago where Diane starts stripping in front of Victor, the show could still use someone like her. It's funny you mentioned Ryan's Death as an umbrella story. I feel like that was the overall end to the character of Victoria (with Heather Tom). I know she had that relationship with Diego which seemed like it was kind of successful, till he left town, but i feel even then she was still done. Its interesting that Scott Reeves and Shemar Moore both left Y&R around 2002, since most people say thats when rating began to fall. I know its not true but i almost want to think that ratings fell cause women tuned out of the show because they weren't gonna have reeves and moore as eye candy anymore. They were probably two of the best looking men Y&R has ever had . If the writing wasn't terrible id say keep Sheila on B&B, but maybe find a way to have her visit Genoa City from time to time. I think that original template would work better, but again if the writing was good....

LOL, yeah most people back then just complained at how sickenly sweet of a couple Danny and Cricket were, I'll admit after seeing a bunch of older episodes i find some of their seems very corny, but yes they were genuine and Unlike Scottie Pippen and the Ostrich you never had any horrible song montages talking about "wine" and crap. ( Seriously everytime they do that on Y&R now, its always directed at them) I like bitchy Nikki when she is getting into catfights with Diane. Its a shame because of some backstage garbage we will never have Diane back on the show.... Okay, so i have seen that term many times, but an Umbrella story?.... Is that when a story starts out as a new character comes on that has past connections to other characters? I know its a dumb question but i would like to know more about that term. Pheila.... Poor Kimberlin for having to learn about this BS when all she wanted to do was recover from a car accident The only thing i kind of like was that after so many years of making it seem like she never existed, Everyone in Genoa City finally realized Sheila, I mean i know people must have heard about her on Y&R before, it was actually shocking to see people like Jill,Nikki, Sharon etc... talking about her, which was one of the things that made the story even more bad anyways.

Sigh.... Danny and Cricket.... You know, people would say that they were the worse characters on the show at that time, but think about it? How did we go from them to Lily and Cane?!?!?! I have to admit that its fun seeing Nikki and Katherine scenes from back in the day, but in these particular episodes they say soo much harsh stuff about Hope, i would think that even Jill would be sicken with what they were saying.... LOL I wonder if one of the reasons Sheila wasn't on for the rest of the week it seems like, is because of that once scene where she talked about removing baby Scotty's birthmark? I heard Kimberlin tell stories on how she was even shock she had to do that and Ed Scott told her to keep a low profile and take a few weeks off.

Thanks, im really looking forward to them too, since one of the episodes i should be getting is the Scott,Sheila,Danny,Cricket dinner party episode that follows the February 4, 1992 episode i uploaded. It will be nice to see Sheila interact with a "new face" (Danny) I could tell that back then Bill Bells favorites were Victor,Nikki,Ashley, and Jack, (oh and Cricket/Danny) since i feel like in my classic episodes those few are the ones you see everyday. Of course its not fair to judge since i only have certain weeks out of the months/years i have. Yeah that makes sense regarding the airtime back then, There are some instances where i notice that Katherine wasn't on that much. (Mostly in the 1993 years) And if she was on, her stories usually were the Filler of the episodes. Like having Danny and Rex dress her up for her and Rex's ski trip ( Kind of an odd scene ill admit) and pretty much her talking about things like "Oh i hope Nikki is not thinking of drinking again" blah blah blah. My November 1993 episodes have a lot of Katherine scenes, but i HATE them cause there all of her and Nikki pretty much bad mouthing Hope. Her and Nikki can be soo snobby together!

I think that she was put on contract on December. Kimberlin herself said that she went from being only 30 days to 3 months and then contract. It still disappoints me that Sheila doesn't seem to be on a lot of episodes like i thought she was. I'm not just talking about when she was on recurring, but even after they put her on contract, I uploaded 6 episodes from May 1991 she is not there, and then there was a full week of October 1991 episodes, and she was only on 1. I guess i should be grateful that i was still able to share a bunch of rare Sheila episodes already, but its still something that puzzles me. I luckily have more episodes coming that i know she is apart of.

Haha, i totally get it Deedee I have to wonder sometimes if even Bill Bell could even stand Eric, From those interviews of him (Bill) that i have seen he comes across as a no nonsense type of man, so I have to wonder when he and Bergman had that fight, He really wanted to fire Braeden but knew he would risk the show suffering without him (which now wouldn't make a difference) I bet the writing team does nothing but take demands from him and how Victor should just keep winning... OR ELSE

I don't think the show needs another MAB famous "Resurrection" so Bobby can just stay "dead"

Bobby died right? I was reading the interviews for Y&R's 35th anniversary on wikipedia where they interviewed MTS, and they ask her which past character she would like to return and she mentioned Bobby, saying "His character's not dead, so anything is possible" It kind of annoys me that she forgot he died, but in her own word " I barely remember my own storyline"

I know Vicki has made it known that she thought Christel was all wrong to play her daughter, but were she and her ever civil to one another throughout the time they played mother and daughter together on the show. I have heard lots of things that implied that they didn't get along, but i wasn't sure if that was only because Vicki was mad when they fired davetta and got Christel back so quickly, and Christel took it personally. I once read something on Vicki's twitter where she said that she wanted Christel to go to some event to honor Black History, and And Christel tried to talk herself out of it, and Vicki had to drag her along..... I'm telling you i just dislike that girl more and more.
