  1. I'd like to know that too.... Besides the Hunter thing, Kimberlin seems like a total sweetheart. I don't think her and Tracey every really became good friends on the show though, despite the fact they had every scene together.
  2. But he did know Melody before right? I guess what Scott Reeves did was right compared to what Barton lacked. Cause Reeves is one with tons of personality, and seems like he gets along with EVERYBODY (probably more so at GH than Y&R nowadays)
  3. I think the last time Barton did anything according to IMDB was in 2005. Kimberlin actually said in a podcast interview that she still sees him cause they golf on the same course where she lives. Wasn't Barton fairly close to Melody?. I remember seeing a picture that looked like it was taken before Peter joined Y&R, where Melody dressed in a wedding gown (must've been her wedding to Ed) poses with Peter in a tux. If they knew each other before he joined the cast, did she get him the job at Y&R? She technically give Bergman the job as Jack.
  4. I know she did, I have those episodes from November 1993 and while Lauren Cricket and Paul were mourning Scott, Lillie Bell had just ran away.
  5. I think Scott's problem was that he did become a third wheel between Lauren and Sheila, which is why im sure Bill did struggle on where to take Scott before just killing him off. Plus even though he and Lauren had good chemistry Tracey probably had better chemistry with Don and Doug. I wonder if another reason why Scott was so isolated throughout his last run was anything to do with how Peter Barton was offscreen. Its not really fair to judge but ive seen those old episodes of Family Feud hes on with other Y&R cat members and he did seem like he had somewhat of a perverted sense of humor. Victoria Rowell looked as though she wanted to hit him at some shots (it could have been a joke though) I wonder what happend to him anyway, I know he had a role on Sunset Beach, but he just never acted again it seems like.
  6. Yeah, I was running my mouth a little when i talked about Scott and Olivia romantically. I think them being friends is more suitable, but again its sad that besides that one scene i read about where Olivia learned what Scott was sick with, They probably didn't have anymore hospital scenes together where they talked about their problems. Its also Sad that as Peter Barton was leaving, they could have at least given him some more to do than just sit back and watch Lauren grow bored of him. I have no idea why Bill didn't make him (or Olivia for that matter) the doctor at present, for when Nikki was going through her labor and Jill was having Billy. All of that duty went to that Dr. Laski fellow.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoZJ6Xev7g8&feature=channel_video_title So I guess that Sheila and John knew each before she worked at the hospital. I read somewhere that people thought that Silva fathered Sheila's child that she miscarried since he knew about her famous martinis. I think that they have great chemistry, and i liked that they played up on their friendship throughout her first run on Y&R. (even if it was just for legal reasons) Another paring that sparked my curiosity was Scott and Olivia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy2gql8g1hk (skip to 2:23) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzhKxP7oyfo I feel like they had great chemistry. Which makes me wonder if Sheila was never thought of (That breaks my heart to say btw) if Bill would have done a Bi-racial romance between Scott and Olivia. Its too bad that their screen time together I assume wasn't played up as much onscreen, as it was as first, as both characters got caught up in their own spheres. Its funny though that i read that Olivia pretty much diagnosed Scott of whatever made he die, but afterwords no one ever says to Olivia, "By the way, Scott Grainger passed away" just something that always seemed weird to me.
  8. Yeah, I got a feeling that it took a while for Katherine to consider Esther one of her closest friends. I thought it was sweet when Esther is performing at the Masquerade Ball in 1991, and Katherine is introducing her, she starts by saying "I give you my friend and my... I give you my friend" I feel that line shows the turning point that Esther now means more to Katherine than just being her servant. Speaking of Esther, does anyone miss when Jill and Esther had their one liner moments, everytime Jill barged into Katherine's? Like Jill would impatiently knock or ring than Esther answers and they insult each other.Classic camp like that will probably never been seen again on soaps
  9. I would love to see the scene where Victoria gets money from Katherine to help Ryan get out of Jail. I'm curious to know how Jeanne Cooper and Heather Tom played off of each other, since i don't really think they had many scenes together during their time on the show. And the way the relationships were between characters back then under Bill Bell was WAYYY different then the ones of today. I heard about the scene where Nina does "Harry met Sally" LOL, I'm sure Tricia played that scene soo brillantly.
  10. I actually just meant that when you read old synopses that tell about those 2 stories, They have about 2 paragraphs worth of recaps each, I know they are not the same, but yeah i just meant that written in soap mags, ALOT of details were covered for those two plots while the others not so much.
  11. THANK YOU SO MUCH CARL!!! I appreciate all of your effort in getting these pages scanned on here. The Feb 4 and 18 issues are actually the only SODS from that year i have in my collection, and oddly enough i only have 4 1992 episodes in my dvd collection. I seriously have no idea why my 1992 Y&R collection is that small LOL! anyways, Its interesting that Ryan and Victoria actually got engaged many months before that quickie marriage in Chicago. I always thought that Victoria and Ryan just married without being engaged. The Michael/Cricket/Danny story seemed like the George Rawlins Murder of 1992. I mean that their storyline takes up most of the pages on the recaps. Interesting that Brad was kind of in Michael's business, with him flirting with Hilary. I hope John really gave it to Victor good, when i read the part about him confronting Victor about his marriage with Ashley ending. Like i said, i think John really could put his foot down with Victor better than anyone could ever do. I never new that little story arc with Esther and her not being in the will. I guess that was filler for that time.
  12. Both would be great if you don't mind.
  13. Thanks, whatever ones you have would be fine.especially ones from after Sheila left for B&B.
  14. There should be some sort of Y&R database where they have an archived list of characters past and present first and last airdates. Kind of like Jason 47's Days of Our Lives page. Yes. that would be great if you could post more of 1988 recaps, I was wondering if you also had any 1992 recaps you could post. since there are some months from that year where i dont know what went down.
  15. No, May 31 of that year was his last airdate. ( And i honestly wouldn't mind now if that was his last ever airdate if you know what I mean...LOL)
  16. She could have some eye problem, but it looks more like she was wearing those so no one would recognize her in public (as Jill i mean LOL) when she was seen around town with Baby Phillip, and just forgot to take them off. Its interesting that 2 years later, Jill would pretty much do the same thing with Little Phillip when Nina was on trial for shooting David.
  17. Laughing my a** off at Jill in those glasses, and the fact that shes wearing them in every clip they show!, Now i REALLY wish these full episodes would surface somehow!
  18. I really do think John and Victor had a great deal of respect for each other. However, i believe that John could also tear Victor to shreds if he wanted to. Like Katherine, and Heather Tom's Victoria, John was probably the only other character who could REALLY stand up to Victor. The writers saw that too which is why i believe they let John punch Victor ( For once) and the best part was that i think Victor knew deep down that if he crossed John in some way, he would regret it. Just look at Victor's face when John angrily asks him where he was all along. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaIOkhh0fOg The look Victor gives John IMO is a look that says that even though Victor was trying to be his tough self and not have to answer questions on why he made everyone think he was dead, he HAD to answer to John, or else he would be in trouble. This is why if i wrote Y&R i would redo John being killed off. We need someone on the show that can really get under Victor's skin. Another good punch is well needed for Victor this time.
  19. Yes, that is indeed why Mitchell was there. To prove to he courts that anything that Jack did while he was gone wouldn't matter cause he was never dead. I'm not sure why Ryan was there. I mean i know it must be because Victor thought he would try to get close to Victoria again while he was gone, but other than that there really was no reason for him to be there. I think it was a little dumb of Victor to invite Nikki with everyone else. Wouldn't he just think it would ruin the special moment for her to be there with everyone else? I think that Lauren should have been present at that gathering since she took Brad in at Fenmores. Then again one of the reasons why i say that is because i would have love to see what Lauren was like having scenes with people i rarely would see her in the same room with at that time (Ryan, Brenda Eppersons Ashley, Douglas, and Mitchell.)
  20. Wow, Thanks for posting the 1991 synopses Carl! I still can't get over how horrible that suicide thing with Sheila and Molly sounds. I bet that gave Sheila her mark as the town's psycho/ Villianess ( and switching the babies) So i guess Ryan first aired sometime in during the week of June 24-28 91. It's lovely how he and Victoria were already jumping each other less than a week later. That scene where Victor catches them in the tack room is on youtube, but its during a flashback. I bet the Victoria vs Ashley scene were great too, but I can't believe Ashley said she would go to Brad for love to Traci, I really think Brad and Ashley rubbed their closeness in Traci's face sometimes. Ah yes the famous "Killer" forehead. That must have been really great when it originally aired. I read about the joke being that David wanted to look like David Hasselhoff LOL.
  21. Thanks Carl , I can't wait to read them It's always a pleasure to be able to do things for classic Y&R fans like myself, and i believe that its important to share all these things with u guys, and i love posting my classic episodes and old recaps etc... I hate to admit that i really been only watching regulary since 2008, even though i kind of used to watch it with my mom when i was more than a toddler. Watching the old episodes online before i started watching it regulary helped me understand what the show was about, and even i wasn't stupid to realize that the Y&R i started watching wasn't the same as the old episodes/ clips i have already seen on youtube. So i felt like i had to get that off my chest, but i don't think it matters anyway, I love the show (or what it should be) and just enjoy everything that it didn't have that the other soaps i watched before has. Just that "classic" soap feel. Anyways i'm glad you guys have enjoyed these old but goodies and i will post more of my old synopses asap as well
  22. It was probably something that was dropped, remember that this was right before the show reached number 1, so perhaps Bill was sort of struggling on which directions to take certain characters.Even so, all of this stuff is miles better than what Maria has created.
  23. I was shocked that Nikki even had any scenes with Danny at all. That stuff did sound interesting, I do remember that there was once an old episode where Nikki is talking about that job to Victor. I guess in 1988/1989 Bill wanted to experiment with some new character interactions that never came up before like Victor/Lauren and Danny/Nikki. Besides later Scott/Lauren/Sheila, Danny and Cricket never really interacted with anyone else out of their own sphere, except a few exceptions. That stuff with Jill and Kay is indeed pretty ghoulish, I wonder if it looked better on screen than it does on paper. I feel like Nikki was sort of blinded by Kay in some aspects.
  24. That's interesting that Nikki had stocks? i thought Nikki really wasn't buisness oriented till the late 90's, but i guess i will just have to wait and see why.
