I stopped watching after Ashley died, and am only dipping back in now to see how Lawrence and Emma's stories play out. Why is Nel unsalvageable? And are Rebecca and Debbie friends now? I wouldn't be averse to Debbie being in another relationship with a woman.

Last I had seen on the show, they had Nel being a schemer one day taking Jai's credit card, then psychotically threatening to slit her wrists the next if Jai left her, then sleeping at the factory because she was homeless, taking the blame for something going wrong at the factory(making her sympathetic?), then some nonsense about her having a child that was given away. The actress couldn't handle the material IMO and I just didn't understand where the writers were going with her, was she genuinely troubled or was out to con Jai? I haven't really seen her since I've decided to check back in on the show a few weeks ago.

Oh God no! We don't need a Charity knock-off running around. One Charity is quite enough (and really one too many!) <_<

I agree to a certain extent, but Charity needs direction at this moment, it's horrid.

And another thing - it's preposterous to suggest that Lawrence, who had a horrific time in prison, would then go on to frame an innocent man and get him sent down. (Although he was willing to do the same to Andy, so I guess he's got form).

    You're right.

However I'm finding this whole story preposterous in itself, and lazy writing.

And I love the idea of her being a mentor to a young woman and moulding her in her image. Would put Debbie's nose out of joint.

If Nel was salvageable I would have been happy to see she become Charity's protege while scheming against the Sharmas. But like most of the stories since the conclusion of Ashley's story it's all been a waste.

And Rebecca as a character works in scenes with Debbie (I wouldn't be against a romantic pairing between these two) and Victoria. I don't hold it against the character that she does not work with Aaron and Robert, who are the equivalent of a black hole.

Which of the two actresses did you guys prefer as Mindy...Krista T or Kimberly Simms (not even going to include Ann Hamilton nor Barbara Frampton as choices).

To me..it seemed like Mindy and Mallet were being tested as a couple...but then the gears shifted. Was this once Pam Long left the show?

I believe Long was gone by then. I wonder if JFP had anything to do with it perhaps?

and what have the Dems done to help black people? keep them on the plantation by offering them free s*** for their vote. I was simply asking what state you are referring to

Keeping libraries open and funded, supporting after-school programs, attempting to reform the justice system and focusing on rehab instead of punishment for non-violent drug convictions, and lastly extending health and preventative care to areas with a high population of minorities is "offering free [!@#$%^&*]" these days?

    Interesting.

I never liked Joe as a character. It was such a disappointing pairing for Paulina after the chemistry she had with Jake. Even though I'm glad that Jake ended up with Vicky in the end, I think he was by far the best pairing for Paulina. If only Ryan had stayed around to end up with Vicky and then Paulina could have ended up with Jake. :(

I remember watching AW as a kid and really hating the Joe/Paulina/Jake triangle. Paulina and Jake were incredible. Joe was a horrible character whom I wish would have succumbed to a death similar to Frankie's.

  6. I've always wondered about Swajeski's capabilities as a HW. Her early 90s AW was pretty good, but since AW she hasn't served as the sole HW of any soap. Kind of sucks because I'm curious as to how it may be.

I've often wondered how Nancy Curlee and Donna Swajeski might have been as a team.

  7. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this show. The cliffhanger in episode one was pretty damn good and didn't see it coming. Episode 2 I've come to like plenty more of the characters than I first thought.

I may sound pessimistic, but I think Karen "I do not support a living wage" Handel will take this. Georgia, when push comes to shove, consistently goes red. I realize Trump won by a small margin, but...he still won.

I'm starting to feel the same as well, seeing how polling is still so close even after Handel's terrible debate performance.

Also, I would not have wanted Bridget and David together. I agree with the above post that said the chemistry between the actors was more brother/sister. Gilly and A-M? That's more like it.

I always shipped Gilly/A-M and would've have loved to see where Curlee and Co. would have taken them.
