General Hospital: November 2022 Discussion Thread
Even in the comments for that vid you have one that says Caroline and one that says Carolyn lol. I did know or rather assume that Carolyn was the woman Jeff threw Anne Logan over for (offscreen, eventually told to Anne via a letter that caused her great agony lol) but didn't know she was actually named Carolyn back then until I came across this vid. Obviously whoever in the writers team was involved in Sarah and Liz's creation had a fair idea of the history (probably was working on GH back in the 80s too). In 97 we got references to Monica's marriage to Jeff as well as Emily noting that Sarah's description of Steven-Lars sounded exactly like the old Jason (with Emily not being aware that Jason and Steven-Lars were second cousins).

I really do hope Carolyn is evil (I still think they should've used Denise Crosby as Sela more on TNG), and I hope she can put the fear of God into Heather too. They should have history, as IIRC Heather was originally written out to go visit Steven-Lars and Liz mentioned in 2004 that Heather used to bother them when she was little. I do think I saw it written as Carolyn in either the GH Wiki or the who's who profiles on Soapcentral long before this. Tbh though, to me Caroline and Carolyn can be a bit interchangeable to the ear (and likely to the people calling you Carolyn as well) but of course to you since it is your name you'd always hear the difference immediately. So in that case, I'll leave it you to decide whether Lesley is saying Caroline or Carolyn in this 1982 clip (just after the five minute mark)

GH: Character's parents finally cast!!
I just hope she isn't too much like her Scandal character. But very pleased to have her in the role.

Star Trek: Picard
Quite fitting too as Christopher Plummer played General Chang, the last villain that the TOS crew faced. Which makes her literally "the next generation" lol I gasped when I saw Moriarty and again a few seconds later with Lore (but of course that should've been obvious to me since as you say Brent Spiner was announced to be involved).

Shortland Street
Another mass suicide in the Shortland Street carpark, like TK's brother's cult back in 2018 perhaps

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
I remember there once was a story with Spider going to work at the Benefits office which worked because IIRC it was a case of a well meaning anarchist naively going to work for the system in order to help people and subvert it from within, only to get caught up as a cog in the system and ultimately quitting. But an undercover cop? really? The backstory had better be good.

Mason is Austin's cousin who has done nothing else other than have secretive meetings, phone calls and texts with Austin for the past two or three months. Like get this story moving already lol

General Hospital: September 2022 Discussion Thread
Thanks! Haven't been able to keep up as much since most of the clipping channels on YT either disappeared or focus on specific characters (though I'm sure there's one for Carly). Part 3 seems to leave it ambiguous as to whether Peyton knows about Reese surviving the accident and turning up in Port Charles (only to be killed in the train crash). I'm still inclined to think that she doesn't know. Also, I'm glad that Daniel and Carly's "affair" is being correctly portrayed as a grooming situation. I can't remember if it was portrayed that way back in 2005 but Carly was 16 and Daniel in his 40s so grooming is what it always was.

That's a good timeline but I think Luke and Holly's ONS is supposed to have happened during the Mr Big storyline, when Robert was in Port Charles between September 1986 and January 1987. That is why there was always just enough ambiguity for Robert to have been suspected as Ethan's father and for Robert to initially believe Luke when Luke told him that he was Ethan's father in order to give Robert enough will to live when Robin was presumed dead. That said, the ONS took place in Singapore while Luke was on a caper and found Holly there, so it's not too much of a stretch for your timeline to say that Luke left Laura in Texas, did the caper (and the deed with Holly lol) and returned.

Wasn't Daniel J Travati also on General Hospital as Spence Andrews in 1979 - not sure of the exact storyline, think he may have been a "temptation" for Lesley but she chose to stay faithful to Rick (this was in the months before she found out about Rick and Monica and Rick supposedly being AJ's father)

I do wish that whatever issues Liz has were to do with Carolyn as opposed to Jeff. As an never before seen character, Carolyn is an open book and could be written as a complete monster if the writers so wished. And now that I think about it, I kinda like the irony of Jeff ending a disastrous marriage only to find out each time that his next wife was even worse lol (not that he was ever entirely blameless in his marriages to Monica and Heather).- GH: Classic Thread
I was curious to see if Nancy and Ingo had ever been on the same side lol so did a bit of research and apparently she wasn't too happy about it either: https://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/28338883.html Of course the above was the year before Twitter truly took off so she may have said more if the whole thing had played out a couple of years later. There is one tweet that subtly references it from 2010 though:- General Hospital: August 2022 Discussion Thread
True, Guza's GH (and going all the way back to Monty) would have had something like this - with relatively few beats to play out - done and dusted by the end of May at the latest and most likely even sooner. While the Claudia Zacchara murder investigation also took a while to get Sonny to trial, there were more a lot more beats to play out - such as Franco, Sonny shooting Dante etc. I do agree that the prolonged nature of the story has allowed TA to settle into the role and the audience a chance to get used to her in the role, so that is a positive.- GH: Classic Thread
