Twin Peaks
Ah. I didn't think so. Thanks. I guess that's just how some fans are with certain characters (some fans were sure Albert was gay and were very annoyed he was ogling that female agent - I assume that is just their headcanon). Maybe they won't ever say anything and people can keep believing it if they want...

He's not even bisexual in canon. They just ignore his past altogether. The family looks generic and the trailer is generic. And the pattern of humiliating Sharon continues as that woman punches her. The promo photos for her are grotesque too. Just gurning and mugging gone wild. Awful.- Twin Peaks
Thanks for finding those. It's nice to hear Kimmy talk more about her character and being on the show. She always seems like a real character. Hearing her defend Lucy (as Lucy and Andy and their kid seem to be the most talked-about part of the revival to me) and talk about filming the Wally scene was good. Sheryl always seems very down to earth. I always wondered about the screaming so I was glad she got asked that question. I lost my Missing Pieces disc so I didn't realize until a few days ago that the phone confusion thing Lucy had in episode 4 was a throwback to a FWWM deleted scene. It's good so many of the things in the new show are from FWWM, as some of the sneering at that film (which is different from not being able to watch it because of the subject matter of course) annoys me a great deal.- Twin Peaks

Thanks so much. I had no idea Louie died that way. How terrible. Who was the temp? I hope you're enjoying these episodes and we can hear some of your thoughts on them.- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Yes. It was between her ATWT exit and GL return. I've always wanted to see it.- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Lisa Brown played the drug agent who killed him - I think she was corrupt. This was also Danny's intro to the show, and Ally lied that he raped her in order to pay him back for his role in Casey's death. The show played the "they're even now" shell game and repeatedly tried to pair them up, but viewers never really wanted it. Unfortunately this meant she was lumbered with Tony, always a boring, annoying scene-killer for me.- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Even by the time she was on AMC it wasn't really there anymore. I guess maybe she's spent those years looking for good dick...or her heart wasn't in it after she broke up with Michael Weatherly. The reason that they seemed to give for Gwyn killing Stacey was that Stacey told her she felt like her life was empty and lonely, so "Trisha" killed her to spare her more pain. The Buck angle would have been interesting though. Stacey and Buck were reconnecting when she died - the poisoned body powder she put on was for a date with him. Cooper was in love with Ally but she was in love with Casey, even though she had a child with Cooper. Cooper was scheming to keep them apart. From this I surmise that Steffi and Casey were lying that they slept together, for some reason. Maybe because Casey had agreed to stay away from Ally.- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Thanks. I was so glad they uploaded a full episode and seem to have more. The show had such a good younger set at this time. It's always hard to reconcile Amelia Heinle in these years to the living corpse of the last 15 or so years. PAS was just adorable. It's tough to watch Buck thinking about marrying Stacey, not Gwyn, when Gwyn would go on to kill her... Can you believe those sets? Better than anything on a soap now.- The Politics Thread
I don't doubt their intentions, but I've seen so many important pieces of legislation dragged down or stomped into the ground by those who stayed out for reasons of purity. Of course it isn't fair of me to judge them by American standards. Speaking of American standards, it looks like we are still getting naked efforts to distract and distract from the Russia investigation. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/06/01/devin-nunes-intervenes-russia-investigation-239026- The Politics Thread

I was thinking about things like what's been going on in Portland, where hate groups seem to be increasingly active and violent. I don't ever really trust anywhere anymore because as time passes it seems like the more progressive a place is the more dangerous backlash is waiting around the corner.- The Politics Thread
I think we'd get some very ugly surprises about many of the people who live in blue states once that ever started happening.- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Thanks. Was he the one who had a drugs story Ceara was involved in?- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Thanks. First time I've seen Larkin as Clay. He was very good. They disowned Clay so many times yet it still has an impact. And I was surprised they still remembered Rick by this point. The woman who plays Carly seemed to be a very good actress. I don't know that guy with Louie.- Radio Soap Opera Discussion
Can you imagine this airing on a soap today...Liz blasting "so-called Christians" and saying an atheist is a truer believer? http://www.radioechoes.com/bandaid/?page=play_download&mode=play&dl_mp3folder=B&dl_file=brighter_day_1948-11-01_papa_dennis_leaves_his_church.mp3&dl_series=Brighter Day&dl_title=Papa Dennis Leaves His Church&dl_date=1948.11.01&dl_size=3.25 MB- The Politics Thread

It's interesting as Germany apparently won't even meet the 2020 standards. Merkel is lucky to have Trump as a foil at this point. More on how this doesn't change much beyond benefiting China and Europe. http://www.politico.eu/article/climates-brexit-moment/ http://www.politico.eu/article/donald-trump-paris-climate-deal-decision-doesnt-matter/ To be honest with you I feel like most of these agreements, even in good faith (and I believe Obama acted in good faith), are just lip service. I hate the thought of the average American (including many who voted against Trump and are now shackled to the rest of those who did) losing opportunities, being hurt by the stalling and likely freefalling economy, etc. that Trump is now bringing on. But if there is a bright side, beyond exposing to Trump just how isolated and powerless he is compared to what he thinks and thought, maybe this will push some countries to actually push their talk into real action about the environment before it's too late. - The Politics Thread
