  1. Thank you for replying. I didn't want to tag people because they weren't new, just reuploads of some of the DVD releases, but I hadn't seen them on Youtube lately. I'm always impressed at just how well the Roger "death" location shoot holds up - it feels much more stark, and less glossy or goofy, than later '80s location shoots. It's beautifully directed (like the scene of Ed and Holly embracing, Holly clinging to him for dear life, after Roger is gone) and has the weight of whether two good, moral characters can kill to survive (unlike later years on soaps, where murder isn't a big deal...complete with a shootout in the Bauer kitchen). Yet Alan and Mike worrying over Roger's lost documents reminds that the story isn't fully over. The moments of Bert praying for her sons are also very effective - reminding of the amazing yet very down to earth talent and presence of Charita Bauer. (I love Diane's whole look in that April episode, especially her necklace...I never know why Marland thought she should be killed off)
  2. I've found Kelly to be very phony and cold post-AMC, and I've always gotten bad vibes off Mark, going back to his Pine Valley days. Something has long seemed off for me with them as a couple.
  3. I do appreciate the lack of evasiveness compared to the way his campaign handled his stroke (which if not for the decent Democratic performance and Dr Oz being craven and smarmy, likely would have cost him the race), but I would agree. I've always been wary of Fetterman, and his supporters. I do feel bad for him, and also disturbed by the way the right have made his wife their new paranoid hate figure.
  4. Carolyn (in the 1967 period and especially 1970 PT), Roger, Victoria, Willie, Joe, Tony Peterson, Elizabeth, Chris, Angelique, Samantha, Julia, Leticia, Ben Stokes.
  5. I feel bad for him, but I do wonder what the rules are in Pennsylvania for a new senator. I'm not sure how much longer he's going to be able to stay in the job.
  6. I think he's just doing as told by CNN - getting a lot of coverage, and trying to make Nikki Haley, a longtime media darling, seem sympathetic.
  7. Wonderful news. Did they already have Lorie and Leslie - did their appearance a year or two ago count for this? (did Lorie even have one?) I know Rex passed long ago, oncamera, but I hope they may take the opportunity to have Gina and Danny remember Rex, with flashbacks, to honor Quinn Redeker. I also hope we may somehow get an Olivia return for Mamie, unlikely as that is. Great to know Leanna, one of my old favorites, will be back too. And Nina. Almost makes me want to sit through an episode.
  8. I remember Welch suing because of being replaced on Cannery Row. That she managed to survive the type of moment that gets you blackballed in Hollywood is a credit to her tenacity. Here's a 1974 interview with her. https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-news/raquel-welch-speaks-her-mind-240951/
  9. Nothing to be excited about, but maybe the last missing footage we'll ever get.
  10. Raquel Welch was one of the most stunning women ever in front of a camera, putting the dream in the dream factory. She was also incredibly striking in her charisma and mere presence. She was a movie star to her bones, even if she never really fit in, due to her personality and Hollywood's general inability to figure out what to do with women who want something different. She made some very interesting films in the '70s, a number of which became cult classics or inspired later directors (Hannie Caulder, Last of Sheila, among others); in many ways her career path resembles Sharon Stone's. She also kept herself out there for decades after what could have been a brief burst of fame, without ever leaning too far into self-parody status.
  11. I guess you could say Deirdre Hall as well, but she didn't have as much fame as Susan managed to have.
  12. It's official: A few days ago, I was reading an interview with a woman who talked about her court battles with Feinstein in the early '70s (the woman ran an adult theater), and it reminded me of just how long Feinstein had been in politics, and in positions of power. I'm sorry that her later years have revolved solely around talk of dementia, and some absolutely ghoulish statements from the dead end left, rather than her body of work. I'm glad that she, or someone around her, has decided to do the right thing. Even if my politics are probably not that close to hers in various areas, that never matters at a time like this. I hope her last years are comfortable and peaceful.
  13. The early material with that Jerry Lanning character was probably hers.
  14. Until reading this I thought she had passed away...
  15. Thanks. I'd never heard all those personal details, especially about Redstone's relationship with her father. Moonves' gut was clearly telling him the truth, but he had too many sycophants to see sense. Good riddance.
  16. I'm probably making him even more of a bogeyman but given his completely dismissive attitude when ATWT and GL ended, not even bothering to show any grace, I do wonder just what toxicity/contempt his people exuded over the last 15 years of their lives.
  17. This originally aired on the UK TV channel TPTV, after being gone for many years until a 2021 rediscovery. The uploader rearranged the special into the proper order.
  18. I think Andy looked great, but unfortunately there were strong rumors at the time that he was fired by a higher up at CBS Daytime because he was not attractive enough to them.
  19. I just thought the character was incredibly draining and whiny, and I felt like her relationship with Andy was very heavy going. I know she had reasons to be the way she was, but similar to my fatigue with Martha Byrne's Lily and Yvonne Perry's Rosanna, I just didn't really care. I watched ATWT for characters like Lucinda or Julie, or Jessica, or Margo (pre-misery) or Melanie Smith's Emily, not ingenues in eternal angst. I do think Hayley deserved better, as she was very likeable when she temped as Harley on GL in the late '90s. The main problem with Andy was what supposedly led to his final firing in 2000 - not being a generic piece of ass in the pecs-and-abs-obsessed '90s lineup.
  20. I remember that the show was still very well-rated in that penultimate season. I guess CBS wanted rid of it. I can't blame them, as that season was just plain bad, and a horrid use of Julia Duffy.
  21. Leonard Staab and Jocelyn Seagrave in cowboy gear on a Regis and Kathie Lee fashion show. https://archive.org/details/live-with-regis-and-kathie-lee-february-4-1993
  22. You can see Hayley Barr and Scott Defrietas in a fashion show on Regis and Kathie Lee. Hayley is much more animated than she tended to be on ATWT. Scott is adorable as always. https://archive.org/details/live-with-regis-and-kathie-lee-february-4-1993
