  1. I love those earrings. I don't feel like Dina Mergeron ever really tapped her talents. I'd love to see Belle.
  2. Thanks for sharing this. It's a shame only her Y&R work is around, mostly, and even that is hard to find. She was a beautiful woman, and in a real way, not plastic. Daily TV Serials was a very high quality magazine. I wish it had lasted longer.
  3. I guess it makes sense in some way, since he was a total unknown in the US...either that or he had an agent who would take anything (supposedly Norman Reedus/Daryl and the guy who played Shane both got 80K). AMC seems to bleed the show for their other projects. I do hope they will give the actors a salary increase.
  4. Walking Dead minimates. Michonne looks a little like 80s Oprah. http://www.comicsalliance.com/2012/12/07/link-ink-the-walking-dead-minimates-mike-wieringo-impulse-drawing-street-fighter-sanrio/
  5. Looks like John Kerry will be the next Secretary of State. http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/report-john-kerry-to-be-nominated-for-secretary?ref=fpb I think this is a mistake, as Kerry, while a very intelligent man, has always seemed very awkward to me, not the best mood for a role which requires charisma and decisiveness. This also makes it very likely that media darling Scott Brown will win this Senate seat. Democrats tend to trip over their own feet in a lot of MA races, and the media will go all in, as they adored Brown and they would love to write about "Democrats in disarray" and how Obama's ideas are already being punished in his second term, and that this just means the GOP will take the Senate and kick ass in 2014, et al.
  6. Wasn't expecting that at all. Wow. You certainly built up to this well. I hope Reginald isn't going to cause Marley to have a miscarriage.
  7. I know some felt like she was promoted up to get her out of Eastenders (or was that Hutchinson). I shouldn't be surprised to hear about Nina, but I am. I loved her work as Zainab. She reminded me so much of old school Eastenders, the early years, by far the best years. I don't watch very often now but this still sucks.
  8. Good intro to Mrs. Wilson. Very suspenseful. You switched to first person for a bit.
  9. I think they thought they explained it by saying she'd been in an abusive relationship, which was just offensive.
  10. When they made Beth a vixen/neurotic bitch, BC always overacted it. She got better later on but still I felt like she was overworking. I think she got a better balance at the end. Her 89-91 run, while a little dull, does seem better to me. I wish they hadn't taken Beth so far over the edge. There's such a sweetness, earnestness, believability about Rick/Mindy/Phillip/Beth. It's hard to believe how much they all changed within the next six months or less of these episodes. You'd almost think they had totally new writers and producers.
  11. I really love JE's work as Beth, especially some of this stuff. She's a wonderful actress but sometimes she overeggs a little. Here she seems very pure and strong. I can see why she won an Emmy, even if she probably wished she never had.
  12. Oh good. I wasn't sure if those were already in circulation. I didn't think they were so I posted them. The person also uploaded several others. That opening scene of Annabelle just reading and reading, as the action plays out - it is one of those scenes which probably was very complicated to film, but feels effortless. That's true of a lot of the early stuff for Phillip/Beth.
  13. Poor Nicole I hope you might bring Peter back for this. I'd forgotten about Bridget's bond with Reginald. Poor Marley too. Your Frankie/Cass dialogue is true to them.
  14. I don't watch it too often but I enjoy hearing what you have to say. Since I have no real history with the show I don't have to punctuate your comments with any bitter rantings.
  15. Thanks for keeping this going.
  16. Frank Darabount was the man who produced the show from the first to the middle of the second season, when he abruptly left, supposedly due to tension with AMC over budget cuts. There were some who also felt like he'd ground the show to a halt with the Sophia story and that his departure picked up the pace. Darabont - sorry for the misspell.
  17. Supposedly Dale left because the actor was upset with Darabount going (not sure if that's true or not, although they'd worked together before). I guess Hershel took his role over. I wish they'd kept a few of the early people like Jacqui or Morales, but I guess they were just there to fill out numbers.
  18. I'd say the most interesting part is how many of the people in the first episodes are gone now. That's probably true to a situation like this, although I also wonder if that was just down to having some placeholder characters until they started bringing in more permanent players.
  19. I probably just end up remembering the ones that like him (mostly on Tumblr I guess) because when I see positive comments about him or the Governor (I don't mean positive comments about the actors), it sort of makes my head spin. But certainly that's not a majority.
  20. The stories weren't supposed to be in consecutive order. They were each their own time and place.
  21. Thank you so much for those articles! I have an AW one too. I was waiting to see if the poster would be back but might just go ahead and post.
  22. Thanks so much for sharing this. I would love to see Susan's work on DAYS.
  23. Please tell us more about your views of the show.
  24. Who wants to see that? We need to see her getting raped. That's the real comedy gold.
