Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Lucy Pargeter was brilliant tonight. The MVP scene was easily Paddy telling her that even though she broke his heart, she was still a good person and deserved to be happy. It was lame though how Eve got off so easy. Not even a slap? The hell? That's one problem Emmerdale has sometimes, it's too tame. Seeing Eric treated as a character is very refreshing. Chris Chittell transitions his emotions so easily. I can't wait for more of this story. One thing I am surprised about though is that both Sam and Diane were in episode but had absolutely no lines. Worse, Diane was just in the background. Weird. The Macey add ons don't work for me. Mia is alright, but the father is annoying all get out. Edna as a character also flourished tonight, both in that scene with Eve where she tells her she'll stand by her even though she doesn't condone what she has done and then right after tells Chas she hopes all the best for her. If they make Andy the stalker, the nonsensical raping of Sugden family will continue. Although, if Andy could still be a viable leading man (and I think he is) after planning to kill his brother, killing his mother (accidentally) and beating his wife, then maybe this really wouldn't ruin him at all. LoL

Wikipedia says Scarlett is exiting in January? Any truth to this? (I hope so.)

One very small moment I thought was really well done that wasn't mentioned was Kim lighting up when she saw Denise enter the choir in support after Patrick had told Denise Kim needs her just as much as she needs Kim. Very subtle and poignant, IMO.

The look on Janine's face at the end was just excellent. She looked like she found religion. Bye bye Stacey! I wish that Max and Stacey scene was longer. Damn Ryan for breaking it up. I was on the verge on tearing than that loser had to show his face!

Basketball Wives on VH1
Ha, classic REAL WORLD moments. Still, the bitches kicking him out was well deserved. David is disgusting. Look no further than Battle of the Sexes. ASS. Sorry for going off-topic.

The sad thing is, I think Darren becoming a father would be a good story, but not like this. At all.

I hope not, she doesn't deserve it. She should have never gotten it before, either.

The one where Janine visits Stacey, right? Yes, so much wonderful subtext.

I'm surprised you didn't post this bit of news. http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/s3/coronation-street/news/a293967/katherine-kelly-to-leave-coronation-street.html Like you've said before Carl, this is probably more because Katherine Kelly is just utterly bored with her current material. Hopefully she doesn't change her mind. But I guess this will just mean more time for Graeme/Tina!

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
This is old news, but I was searching if Volume 3 of Emmerdale Farm had been released and someone on Digital Spy stated, through an email he/she had received, that there were no plans of doing so. Just completely and utterly disappointing to hear. Those first 52 episodes were such treasures. Have any of the other soaps come out with seasonal DVD's where the episodes are consecutive?

Pat found out Ryan and Stacey were having an affair and told Janine. Janine reacted the logical way, of yes, poisoning the bastard! Did you watch today's episode. Glenda gets some good digs at Jay and I just ATE. IT. UP. Also, Ben telling earlier in the week that he'd be out of the Mitchell family soon enough as me hoping that foreshadows not only his ouster from the family, but from the show. Thomas Law (Peter Beale) exits during Christmas week. I'm not sure if it's been announced if it's temporary or permanent, but it was the actor's decision.

I think Jasmine/Jason is the only thing that has really worked, of the new characters. Except, where else could they go when it's all said and done. Have her in the same boyish clothes for her entire run?

I haven't watched Hollyoaks since the episode where Malachy died. As for the Sharpes, that's just pathetic really. So much time wasted on these nothing characters, and it all lead absolutely nowhere. Good riddance though, but still, they need to focus on getting rid of the heavies (and I mean that literally.)

My money is on Ben as Glenda's pusher. I loved her line to Jay, something like, "You put a dog in a stable, doesn't make it a horse." Classic.

Oh dear God. What a terrible Christmas present. I'm returning it. Couldn't we have gotten Robbie instead?
