Those New York ratings show how Bravo ruined that very popular and very consistent franchise. I can't wait to see what next season does in the ratings. I wonder if it'll be lowered to Miami standards.

The FABULOUS Real Housewives of DC premiered to 1.62 viewers and ended with 1.67 viewers.

I would've loved had them opened the episode (or Ryan's scenes) with just the Ryan's Hope cast interacting. Bring back Daniel Hugh Kelly as Frank, cast someone as Little John, get Helen Gallagher if possible, Ron Hale, Catherine Hicks or Yasmine Bleeth and show them interacting at the bar and show little side-stories so you know life is going on. Then have Sam and Silas arrive, as supporting characters at Ryan's and ask their questions. I think that would've been a more creative way to handle it and a true tribute to Ryan's Hope.

Bravo really needed those ATL numbers and the demo is HUGE. If that's where they're starting, I imagine it's going to be a very high rated season. The 7pm episode (which was a repeat of what episode?) got over 1 million viewers and two repeats that aired later in the night also got over 1 million viewers. That's pretty crazy.

I'm surprised Lydia quit and I do believe she quit because I highly doubt Bravo would've wanted to replace THREE wives. Last season was pretty fantastic so this worries me a little bit. I wonder what they'll do next season. Briana as a housewife? Lauri back? Our dream of Jeana and Lauri returning? I'm already calling a cast of 5 (if Lauri doesn't return) because 3 new housewives could be a bit much.

I just finished RHOA and it looks like this is going to be a can't-miss season. As you all know, I HATED Porsha with a passion, but I found myself warming to her. She's still an idiot, but I think being without Kordell will help her be herself and not try so hard to put on airs and fit in. Kenya vs Nene was great because you could tell both women had planned that argument and it was just us waiting to see who got to it first. I think Nene will win in the long run because she is more clever than Kenya. I went back to liking Phaedra, but I need her to stay focused on her business, family and making funny quips and not feuding with Kenya. Seeing her get so far down in the gutter was so disheartening last season. Jury is still out on if I'll fall back in love with her. Kandi is the same ole Kandi, but this season she actually has something good going on. We know Kandi has a bad history with picking men, so it's possible Mama Joyce is right, but I also wonder if Mama Joyce is just jealous and wants Kandi single. Of course the third option is that she's right and Todd IS cheating, but only time will tell. Cynthia continues to be a complete bore. I found her totally enjoyable in season 3 and she was PERFECT in season 4, but she did nothing of use in season 5 and from the previews it looks like it's more of the same from her this season. I feel like Cynthia and Phaedra have been put in the untouchable circle with Kandi and Nene, but Cynthia hasn't really earned it. I would be okay with her leaving after this season. One thing that troubles me is Kenya's styling. Many joked that she became friends with Marlo so Marlo could help style her, but I wish that were true! Kenya looked like a mortician was doing her makeup and her outfits just looked so cheap and tired. I feel she's gorgeous, but she has absolutely no idea how to style herself. In other news....REALLY excited for RHOBH! I feel like these new ladies will inject something new into the show. My interest last season died as soon as they decided to center the entire season around someone mostly off screen (Adrienne) and an exposed secret that we didn't know about! It was terrible.

What did yall think of the RHOA premiere? I have a feeling that this is going to work out better than season five did for me. The new cast is finally starting to gel, although Kenya needs at least one friend if they're going to be able to sustain her without it getting old. Kandi, Kenya, Marlo

Season two of Miami had 18 episodes including Lost Footage and this season will have 16 episodes, 17 if there is a Lost Footage episode, so the seasons are the same length.

I think Alexia and Joanna look terrible. Marysol looks flawless, as do Lea and Adriana. Lisa has no personal style so her look doesn't surprise me. She never looks bad, just basic. Marysol's hair is also perfect. She looks so much better than her season 3 talking heads.

Joanna vs Lisa? Alexia vs Lisa? I need to catch up it seems!

This. I'm not gonna lie, I'm mostly hating because Nene is being a hater right now. It's just so annoying seeing her act like she's the queen of the world and then she treats her "friends" a certain way, but if they do the same there is a problem. She is NOT more special than anybody else. Just because of her success doesn't mean they have to bow down to her in order to be her friend. I prefer Hater Nene though, so I am looking forward to this season. I hope these girls drive her ass nuts lol.

It's funny you say Peter is sexy when all I've read about is his dirty ass feet lol. it's making me want to watch this! Funky Dineva posted a picture and asked if it was shyt on the bottom of his feet. It certainly looked that way in the picture. But in all honesty, I just have never been able to get into this series. Maybe I need to see it in better days, but these ladies don't have any spark. Once ATL hit they made these girls redundant.

Bethenny averaged 1.8 for the season, Kim 1.6 and Nene 1.4 prior to the wedding episode, which boosted it to 1.5. When you look at the fact that Tamra had similar ratings to Nene's spin-off, I do think that is odd. With the power of RHOA Nene should've been pulling in over 2 million per episode.

I was just reading a rating's report courtesy of Simon Van Kempen's website, BravoRatings.com. It looks like Tamra and Nene got similar ratings for their spin-offs and Kim's wedding was higher rated, with Bethenny (and Kim) having a higher rated first season than Nene. I wonder if Nene knows that lol.

I'm not too worried about having two Teresa's in the cast. when Tammy Barney joined RHOC, they changed her first name to Tamra, since there was another Tammy in the cast. If the NJ producers are smart, they'll just call this girl Terry, or something like that.

Selfish Marlo? The same Marlo who saved Nene's spin-off by giving her the perfect sidekick, which every show needs? The same Marlo who SHE made Creative Director since she was basically planning the wedding anyway? And Hoodrat Lexis? Lexis posted a long thing about how pissed she was and I don't blame her. She was at Nene's house when she watched the show and said she was waiting for the guests to leave so she could cuss Nene out. ANOTHER big hater was mushy-mouth Jennifer. I notice she didn't say anything in front of Marlo, because her scary ass knows that Marlo would tear that ass up. I knew there was a reason I didn't like her airhead ass. Overall, I thought that was a good finale and a good run up to the premiere of RHOA. On Watch What Happens Live, Cynthia and Andy said that Nene and Kenya get into a fight about Kenya missing the wedding.

One thing that annoys me is that General Hospital and Ryan's Hope don't mix. When they tried to turn Ryan's Hope into GH the show almost got canceled, so why put a RH character on GH?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's so weird that BH has a minority in the cast. It's so sad when things like this shock me, but Bravo likes to keep these casts pretty segregated. I like that Beverly Hills went with two completely different types for their new wives and didn't just cast names.

Yeah I'm all for growth, but Brandi being good friends with Kyle and Kim? It just seems disingenuous, regardless of problems with Lisa. I could see Brandi and Kim becoming friends because they're both kinda dumb, but not Kyle. It's a power move for these ladies. With BH I'm most excited for the new housewives and to see Yolanda as a full-wife after her introductory season.

I'm getting more pissed the more I think of this. Ryan's Hope was such a special show and I can't imagine how Claire Labine will feel about this. I know they won't make this simple either. As complicated as Carlivati's storylines get, this could be a huge clusterfuck for Ryan's Hope. In other news, it's kinda making me wish somebody would reboot this series. I know Rosie O'Donnell and Claire Labine tried, but they couldn't get any traction.

I know it doesn't matter since Miami is likely canceled, but Marysol got screwed. In the end she'll have appeared in more episodes than Lea and she had as much, if not more screentime than some of the official housewives. Of course by being reduced to Friend her salary was probably also reduced. I think I've seen more of her this season than in either of the first two, but it probably just seems that way since she's more central to the drama now.

As much as I love Ryan's Hope, if any of those characters returns it needs to be written by Claire Labine. Why would anybody care to see Delia on GH? This is just insane to me. I don't want this at all and I actually like Maura West as Ava. Now if they did a reboot of Ryan's Hope and wanted Maura West on that show I'd be fine with it, but not like this. Such a waste of time.
