GH: Legacy role allegedly being recast
Which, IMO, is one of the main reasons Chad left the show. He's not getting any younger, and if he ever dreams of making the big bucks in Hollywood, he needs to ditch the soap baggage. It's unfortunate for me to even say that since I love this genre so much, but let's be real, the pay is just above average compared to the pay for a school teacher, not to mention the perks of fewer work hours and the ability to spend more time with family. Outside of that, an actor who ever wants to get the gigs offered by Dick Wolf, the Russo Brothers, Marvel, DC, et al., can't be attached to a soap. That's why Nicholas Alexander Chavez wiped GH from his resume. Future jobs will reference Monsters and I Know What You Did Last Summer, among other projects he's attached to, and how he's worked for Ryan Murphy, a mega producer at Disney (and at one point Netflix).

The Australian comedy series “Colin From Accounts” has been renewed for a third season at Paramount+, the streaming service announced on Tuesday. Produced by Easy Tiger Productions and CBS Studios and commissioned by the Foxtel Group, the series is a romantic comedy about flawed, funny people choosing each other and embracing the all-too-relatable chaos of modern life. Patrick Brammall Joel Pratley/Paramount+ “We’re very excited to bring you season three of our show,” said series creators Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, who will return to write, executive produce and star in the new season. “To be honest, with the way we ended season two, it would have been weird not to make a third, so here we are. We promise we won’t leave you hanging like that again. Probably.” With seasons one and two currently available to stream on Paramount+ in the U.S., the acclaimed series continues to hold a 100% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes for both seasons, a rare feat for a program. Executive producers include Patrick Brammall, Harriet Dyer, Alison Hurbert-Burns, Lana Greenhalgh, Trent O’Donnell, Rob Gibson and Ian Collie, with Kevin Greene serving as a producer. ARTICLE: ‘The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards’ Nominations Timeline, Plus Find Out Which Categories Were Eliminated
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), the organization behind the Daytime Emmy Awards, has announced some key changes that will impact “The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” and ceremonies thereafter, including the addition of the previously announced Emerging Talent category, elimination of the Original Song category, and when to expect an an announcement on nominations for this year’s awards ceremony. First things first: Nominations for the “The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” are set to be announced in late June/early July, with an official date yet to be determined. The timeline makes sense, considering the ceremony was moved to October after previously taking place in June. The News & Doc Emmy Awards replaces the Daytime Emmy Awards on the June date, starting with the “The 46th Annual News & Doc Emmy Awards.” Despite the move, the eligibility window for contention remains January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024, with the judging period to start Thursday, May 22-Monday, June 9, 2025. This means “Beyond the Gates,” CBS’ newest daytime soap opera, is not eligible for contention. However, the show will be eligible for next year’s awards. As for the ceremony itself, from 2020-2024, CBS had broadcast the awards show each of year, with its most recent broadcast marking a record 18th time for the network, the most of any television network in history. However, at press time, no network had signed to broadcast this year’s awards show. “The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” and the Daytime Emmys Lifestyle & Creative Arts ceremonies will take place in Los Angeles, CA. Eliminated Daytime Emmy Awards Categories After announcing the elimination of the Outstanding Younger Performer in a Daytime Drama Series category last year, this year, the organization is announcing the elimination of the Outstanding Original Song category. No reason was cited for the elimination, but considering the dwindling number of nominees in the category, it makes sense for the organization to eliminate it. Last year’s winner was the song “We’re Home” by composer and lyricists Heidi Feek, Dillon Hodges, and Mandy McCauley from the PBS series “Reconnecting Roots.” Other nominees included “General Hospital” for the song “Shine,” and the Hulu series “Unexpected” for the song “Unexpected Truth.” Other categories eliminated from the Daytime umbrella include Educational Program and Informational Program, albeit eligible programs can still submit within the E/I category at the Children’s & Family Emmys, or the News & Documentary Emmys, the organization said. New Daytime Emmy Awards Categories As for new categories, they include Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series, and the splitting of the Culinary Series category into two separate categories, as well as splitting the Travel, Nature and Adventure category into different lines, plus the debut of the Outstanding Regional Content in a Daytime Genre category, albeit the latter is “NOT an Emmy eligible category but is instead national recognition for outstanding regional work that will be awarded with a crystal pillar.” The new Culinary Series categories are as follows: Culinary Instructional Series – at least 51% focus on the “how-to” of cooking, e.g., recipes, equipment, techniques, etc. Culinary Cultural Series – at least 51% on the culture of food, e.g,. food/beverage tours, restaurants, cultural and ethnic dining, etc. The new Travel, Nature and Adventure categories are as follows: Travel and Adventure Program – at least 51% focus on travel, e.g., destinations, forms of travel, exploration, thrill-seeking, etc. Nature and Science Program – at least 51% focus on interaction with and research on the natural world, including weather, animals, natural disasters, and climate. Eden McCoy, Nicholas Alexander Chavez Courtesy of NATAS; Eric Lopez/Netflix Eligibility Requirements for the Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series is as follows: There is NO age restriction for this category; Performer has been on the Daytime Drama Program for two years or less, thereby limiting category eligibility for two years total per performer; Performer is on their first Daytime contract; Performer has no previous Daytime Emmy acting nominations; and Performer has never won this category – previous winners will be allowed to henceforth enter Guest, Supporting, or Lead as applicable; Performer must be onscreen in a speaking role with at least one multi-episode story arc. As for judging, new parameters for voting are being introduced as the Daytime Emmys move toward a stated goal of members-only judging for 2026. This includes NATAS no longer utilizing a system of “parity” within the Drama acting categories, e.g., programs are no longer guaranteed equal representation on the acting panels. Instead, “performers registering to judge will be assigned to three categories each within the following parameters: Actors are still NOT permitted to judge the category they are entered into; All actors will be assigned to two Drama acting categories and one Hosting category; and Administration strongly encourages actors to participate in the Host category as these categories require on-screen talent as judges. Daytime Drama Eligibility Clarifications To streamline the acting categories for instance, NATAS has issued a clarification to the rule prohibiting actors from entering twice for the same show, as “the spirit of this rule is to make sure that actors playing multiple roles on a single program simultaneously can only enter once, with all of their characters on the same reel.” Jon Lindstrom, for instance, was cited as an example as he previously portrayed both Ryan Chamberlin and Kevin Collins simultaneously on “General Hospital.” Jon Lindstrom, Emily O’Brien Sonja Flemming/CBS “This rule has been tweaked to allow for actors to enter multiple times for the same program if they exit as one character and return as a different character, and they are not playing both of those characters simultaneously,” the organization noted, highlighting Emily O’Brien for her dual roles on “Days of Our Lives,” where she portrays Theresa Donovan and Gwen Rizczech, respectively, but does not appear simultaneously. “In these cases, actors are permitted to enter twice and even if they don’t, they can only enter for the character(s) being played simultaneously on a singular reel.” Speaking of reels, all categories requiring clip reels instead of full episodes are not to exceed 15 minutes in length. Meanwhile, the Single Camera Directing and Multiple Camera Directing have been changed from reels to full episodes, keeping in line with the Outstanding Directing for a Daytime Drama Series category. Elsewhere, Outstanding Casting reels have been shortened from 30 minutes to 15 minutes and “should focus on only a selection of newly-cast individuals.” Further clarifications provided by NATAS include what being “on contract” means. Per the organization, it refers to someone on a regular contract, not temporary or spec. “For craft categories with a 40% rule for eligibility, entrants MUST have 40% except in the Hairstyling and Makeup and Costumes categories, where there is an override option ONLY if they do specialty looks and the looks are included within the reel.” Further, “In all other categories with 40%, it is no longer the case that teams can enter a category if nobody reaches the threshold. If you don’t have anyone who reaches 40%, then, unfortunately, you are simply ineligible to enter the category.” As for all other categories that previously had an “or 26 episode minimum” clause, that clause has been removed as it was added to account for reduced episode counts during the height of the Covid pandemic. Other non-English languages besides Spanish are now permitted to submit, “provided they adhere to eligibility requirements regarding at least one US-based co-producer and the submission video being subtitled in English.” Definition of Fictional Programming If you’ve ever wondered how the broadcast daytime dramas and shows like “The Bay” are eligible for a Daytime Emmy Award, including the Writing and Directing categories, NATAS defines Daytime fictional programming as follows: Serialized, airing/streaming daily at least 4 consecutive days a week for at least two consecutive weeks; majority multi-camera filming style; and majority use of studio sets. Spinoffs or reboots of previous Daytime Drama nominees are automatically eligible, the organization pointed out. Dangling Episodes To submit in the Drama Series categories, program requirements include a minimum of three (3) episodes. For programs with fewer than three episodes that have aired during the eligibility period, a single episode can be entered within a category that accepts Specials, if applicable, and all applicable crafts. “Producers should choose a single episode to be representative in as many categories as they wish to enter. ‘Dangling episodes’ will not be eligible for the following year’s competition whether they are entered this year or not,” NATAS noted in its release. Short Form Programming Outside of the Daytime Drama categories, the Daytime Emmy Awards also has a Short Form category, with eligible programming quantified as 15 minutes or less in any Daytime genre, of which programs were previously given the choice of submitting in the long form categories. Short Form programming must now enter into the Short Form Program category. Writers and directors for Short Form are only eligible within the Short Form Program entry, while the directing and writing categories are only open to long form content. Additional Daytime Emmy Award Clarifications Other changes impacting the Daytime Emmy Awards include clarification that True Crime Programming that is anthology in style or studies one single case falls in the purview of the Primetime Emmy Awards, overseen by the Television Academy. The same goes for Dating/Relationship programming and Paranormal programming. That said, True Crime programming that is magazine style (e.g., multiple cases per episode, often with a focus on cases that are of interest in popular culture) fall into the purview of Daytime within the Entertainment News category. Lastly, a Host(s) for Daytime Programming (Talk Series, Culinary, and sometimes Lifestyle, How-To/Instructional, Arts & Popular Culture, Entertainment News, Travel/Adventure, Science/ Nature, and Short Form) is defined follows: Individual or individuals who appear(s) on screen (instead of just in voiceover); Welcome and say goodbye to the studio and/or at-home audience; Lead or moderate conversations/interviews/Q&As; and/or Provide context for the tasks being performed. Hosts for Short Form must now enter the Host category affiliated with their genre. Daytime Emmy Awards – Eligible Genres Categories falling under the purview of the Daytime Emmy Awards include the following genres: Daytime Dramas; Culinary Instructional; Culinary Cultural; Daytime Talk Series, Lifestyle; Arts and Popular Culture; Travel/Adventure; Nature/Science; Legal/Courtroom; Entertainment News; Daytime Non-Fiction Special; Daytime Non-Fiction Short Form; Instructional/How-To; Animal Shows; and Parades Programming with a rating of TV-MA, or content that would be rated TV-MA if on a traditional linear network, is not eligible for contention under the Daytime Emmy Awards. B&B renewed for three more seasons through 2028
I expect to hear news on Beyond the Gates' future at CBS no later than July. Although CBS is a co-owner, I'd think with P&G Studios' involvement, they might do renewal announcements like they do with B&B and Y&R. They could also not say anything and it continues to air until it doesn't like you noted about GH. Live+7 and streaming have now become "multiplatform" viewing, which is why the show has a bigger number when factoring in those figures than it used to when we had Live+7 data. Back then, the show was lucky to see a boost of 200,000 viewers after seven days from just the CBS broadcast. With about 2.6 million viewers watching this season (a little more than that), to "nearly" average 3.2 million for the season would mean about 300-400,000 additional viewers come from people watching on Paramount+ and CBS TVE (CBS App and CBS.com). That being said, as noted in my article on the renewal: During the week of March 31-April 4, 2025, the most recent week in which Live+Same Day ratings data is available, the soap opera ranked third among unrounded Women 18-49 (0.33 rating), topping “TODAY 3rd Hour” (0.32 rating) and even “The Young and the Restless” (0.31 rating), for the first time this season.

ARTICLE: ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Renewed For Three More Seasons, Keeping Soap On Air Through Season 41
As expected, CBS has renewed “The Bold and the Beautiful” for three more seasons, which will bring the show through its 41st season. Debuting March 23, 1987, the half-hour soap follows the entangled lives, passionate loves and high-stakes dramas of the Forrester, Logan and Spencer families, and is set against the backdrop of the glamorous Los Angeles fashion world and the fictional fashion house Forrester Creations. Like its network sibling, “The Young and the Restless,” the renewal will see the daytime drama series remain on the network through the 2027-2028 television season. After seven days of multiplatform viewing, “The Bold and the Beautiful” is averaging nearly 3.2 million viewers, with Paramount+ viewership in particular up +8% year-over-year. During the week of March 31-April 4, 2025, the most recent week in which Live+Same Day ratings data is available, the soap opera ranked third among unrounded Women 18-49 (0.33 rating), topping “TODAY 3rd Hour” (0.32 rating) and even “The Young and the Restless” (0.31 rating) for the first time this season. John McCook, Katherine Kelly Lang Gilles Toucas Recently celebrating its 38th anniversary, original cast members John McCook (Eric Forrester) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) remain part of the show’s cast and continue to drive storylines. “We love being on CBS, and we couldn’t be happier,” said the show’s supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, when discussing the show’s future last year following news that CBS had exercised its one-year contract option written into the last renewal deal, which kept the soap on the air through the 2024-2025 television season. "To all our incredible fans, thank you for your unwavering support and passion for #BoldandBeautiful," commented Kasprzyk on X (formerly Twitter), following the renewal announcement. "Your enthusiasm fuels our journey, and we’re excited to continue sharing the twists and turns of romance and drama with you. Let’s keep this adventure alive together!" Later this year, the soap is expected to take part in another international adventure with an on-location shoot in Italy, as previewed by Kasprzyk, who had recently gone on a scouting trip to the country, particularly Naples and Capri. No word yet on which of the two cities will see the show's cast and crew shooting scenes. The show previously shot episodes in Italy following trips to Lake Como in 1997, Venice in 1999, Portofino in 2002, Puglia in 2012, and, more recently, Rome in 2023. Last month, “The Bold and the Beautiful” made daytime history when it celebrated Women’s History Month with an episode written, directed and acted in by cast member Heather Tom (Katie Logan). Produced by Bell-Phillip Television Productions, Bradley Bell is the show’s executive producer and head writer. Watch the first-ever episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful" below. ARTICLE: One of Few Shows Surpassing 10 Million Viewers, ‘The Rookie’ Hits Season High Among Total Viewers & Adults 18-49
Proving why it recently received an eighth season renewal by ABC, recent episodes of “The Rookie” have seen the show hit multiplatform season highs among both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, keeping it in line with the performance of fellow Tuesday dramas “High Potential” and “Will Trent,” each surpassing 10 million viewers this season among Multiplatform+3+ viewing. The Tuesday, March 25, 2025 episode of the series, entitled “Speed,” saw remarkable audience growth after three days of viewing on ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and all other digital platforms compared to its initial Live+Same Day linear only performance among Total Viewers (8.25 million vs. 4.68 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.67 rating vs. 0.48 rating), Nielsen data showed. ARTICLE: ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Fans Promised “Big Bold and Beautiful News” To Be Announced This Week
“The Bold and the Beautiful” fans should prepare for some major breaking news relating to the daytime drama series. Casey Kasprzyk Sonja Flemming/CBS According to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by the show’s supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, some “Big Bold and Beautiful News” is set to be revealed this week, although he didn’t provide any teases or share additional information on what said news could be. While we can’t be certain, Kasprzyk could be talking about the recent scouting trip he took to Italy, particularly Naples and Capri, in preparation for the show’s next location shoot, or it could be news that the show has been renewed for one or multiple seasons at CBS. As reported last year, CBS exercised its one-year contract option that kept the soap on the air through the 2024-2025 television season. That contract is now officially up for renewal. “Well, the truth is, we are two different shows with two different contracts, two different deals,” Kasprzyk said at the time, appearing on an episode of “Bold Live” while speaking of the half-hour soap and its sibling “The Young and the Restless,” which had received a four-year contract renewal by CBS. “So it’s not my place to really comment on it other than to say that we’re on a three-year deal, and so the third year was picked up, [which is] the way it works,” Kasprzyk further commented, stating, “So next year will be when we negotiate for a brand new contract. So we are currently on a deal that gives us one more year. So we’re on through 2025.” “We love being on CBS, and we couldn’t be happier. So we’ll have more news next year, and hopefully, we’ll be here for a very, very long time,” Kasprzyk stated. Outside of an update on the location shoot, a renewal announcement, or a combination of the two, what do you think could be the big breaking news coming this week about “The Bold and the Beautiful”? ARTICLE: Los Angeles County District Attorney Declines Charging Kim Delaney Following Felony Assault Arrest
In response to her felony assault arrest last weekend, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has decided not to file charges against actress Kim Delaney (“NYPD Blue,” “General Hospital”), citing a lack of evidence. On Saturday, March 29, Delaney was arrested alongside her partner, James Morgan, after law enforcement arrived at her home in response to a domestic disturbance call. Upon arrival at the residence around 10:00 a.m. local time, officers assessed the situation, noting that Delaney and Morgan allegedly got into a “heated argument that turned physical,” according to TMZ. At the time, Delaney was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon while Morgan was arrested for domestic violence, per a spokesperson for the Marina Del Rey Sherriff’s Station, as reported by PEOPLE. Morgan was said to have been arrested about a half an hour before Delaney by the LASD, but was later released after paying bail. TMZ said that the decision not to file charges came as a surprise to law enforcement. “Sources say the first incident between the couple popped off Friday night [March 28] when Kim filed a domestic violence report with police after Morgan left the scene.” Further, “Cops said the next morning Morgan returned and things got so heated between him and Kim that she allegedly jumped behind the wheel of a vehicle and tried to mow him down.” “Based on a review of the evidence to date, the District Attorney’s Office has not filed charges against Kim Delaney or James Morgan,” said D.A. Nathan Hochman in a statement released to TMZ. “Should additional evidence or witnesses emerge during the course of the investigation, this decision may be reconsidered.” A few days after the incident, and after the D.A. declined to file charges, Delaney took to Instagram to wish Morgan a happy birthday, captioning the post, “Birthday Boy, 55!!!!! Your wife loves you, my guy!” Photos of more than a dozen roses in all different colors accompanied the post. Last month, Delaney shared a photo of herself and Morgan on Instagram, captioning the post, saying, “Pure love.” She included the hashtags “lucky” and “grateful.” In a post from January, she said, “love always wins! Let’s keep this love and kindness with each other through these uncertain times!” Delaney is best known to soap fans for her role as Jenny Gardner Nelson on “All My Children,” which netted her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 1983 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She later became a household name in the primetime series “NYPD Blue,” playing Diane Russell from 1995-2003. She was honored with a Primetime Emmy Award for her role in 1997, also for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She received additional nominations in 1998 and 1999 in the same category. Among other awards recognition, Delaney was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for the role, in 1998 and 1999, both of which were in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama. In 2021. Delaney received her second-ever Daytime Emmy Award nomination, this time for Outstanding Guest Performance in a Drama Series for her role as Jackie Templeton on “General Hospital,” which she played from 2020-2021 and marked her return to daytime television. Delaney’s other noteworthy credits include a starring role in Lifetime’s “Army Wives,” starring in several TV movies, including “10.5” and “10.5: Apocalypse,” and roles in such shows as “The O.C.,” “CSI: Miami,” “Murder in the First,” “The Oath,” and more recently, “Chicago Fire.” Note: The post Los Angeles County District Attorney Declines Charging Kim Delaney Following Felony Assault Arrest appeared first on the Soap Opera Network website. B&B: April 2025 Discussion Thread
My expectation is that it's either an update on his recent scouting trip to Italy for an upcoming remote, or, more likely, news of the show getting picked up for another season or multiple seasons by CBS, or a combination of both.

ARTICLE: Nathan Owens Upped To Contract Status At ‘The Young and the Restless’ Where He Appears As Holden Novak
Following a recent update to the show’s closing credits, actor Nathan Owens has been upped to contract status with CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” after first joining the show on a recurring basis earlier this year. Making his daytime debut in 2012 playing the role of Cameron Davis on “Days of our Lives,” Owens joined the cast of “The Young and the Restless” earlier this year as a man impersonating Damian Kane, the son of Amy Lewis (Valerie Pettiford) who she had sought out to find to reunite him with his half-brother, Nate Hasting (Sean Dominic). Ultimately, it turned out that Damian” was Holden Novak, an associate of the real Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), who had wondered what game his mother was playing, not realizing at the time that she was dying of leukemia. While the show does not comment on actor contracts, Owen’s name had previously appeared under the recurring cast section of the end credits, a list that also includes Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore Baldwin), Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter), Conner Floyd (Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV), Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Mitchell), Judah Mackey (Connor Newman) and Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott), among others. CBS As of this week, Owen’s name now appears just before Jermaine Rivers as the show lists its contract cast alphabetically by last name. Following his run at “Days of our Lives,” Owens went on to star in Lifetime’s “Devious Maids,” and appeared in episodes of “The Carmichael Show” on NBC, the short-lived Hulu series “Dollface,” FOX’s “9-1-1: Lone Star,” and more recently, the TV movie “A Season to Remember,” which aired on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, part of the network’s OWN for the Holidays programming event, among others. Y&R: Actor status upped
Here's the thing: There are at least three people listed as being on contract that aren't in the traditional sense. I know that for a fact. While I won't name their names, the show lists them under the contract cast section as a courtesy due to their longevity with the show. Take what you will from that.

ARTICLE: Deborah Norville Set To Exit ‘Inside Edition’ After 30 Years As Anchor Of Syndication’s No. 1 Newsmagazine
After spending 30 years at the helm of “Inside Edition,” anchor Deborah Norville announced on Wednesday’s broadcast that she will be departing the daily newsmagazine which remains the the most-watched and highest rated syndicated programs in its category. “It has been such an honor and privilege to be here at ‘Inside Edition’ for all these years. A milestone like this is a time for reflection, and on reflection, I have decided that now is the time to move on from ‘Inside Edition,’” said Norville. “They made me a lovely offer to stay, but there are things I’d like to do and places I want to do them that continuing here doesn’t permit. So, at the end of the season, I’ll be moving on,” she continued. “I’ve got some exciting things in the works, which I’ll talk about later, but what I want to say now is what a privilege it’s been to lead ‘Inside Edition’ for all these years. To work with the incredibly talented team here, and to be invited into your homes every day, it’s an honor I don’t take lightly.” CBS Media Ventures/INSIDE EDITION Although Norville is exiting “Inside Edition,” she is not leaving the CBS Media Ventures family, producer of the show, as she’ll be hosting a syndicated game show for the production company called “Perfect Line,” which is set to premiere this fall. She’s won two Emmy awards throughout her career, first for her work as co-host of “TODAY” during her tenure at NBC News, and again as a correspondent for “48 Hours,” soon after joining CBS News. Outside of anchoring and correspondent work, Norville has also appeared as herself in episodes of such scripted shows as “The Young and the Restless” and “The Game.” “Deborah’s powerful presence, both on-screen and behind-the-scenes, has contributed immensely to the success of ‘Inside Edition’ for the past 30 years,” said the show’s executive producer Charles Lachman in a statement following Norville’s announcement. “She has made a lasting impact on the show, and I’m excited to follow along as she builds upon her outstanding broadcast legacy in her next chapter.” Currently in its 37th season, “Inside Edition” consistently ranks among the top 5 most-watched first-run syndicated programs. Building on its enduring success by presenting a compelling mix of hard-hitting investigations, exclusive newsmaker interviews and incisive human-interest stories, as well as celebrity and pop culture features, the show reaches a weekly audience of approximately 9.42 million viewers and a daily audience of 3.6 million viewers. Across social media, the show has nearly 21 million followers on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & X (formerly Twitter). ARTICLE: ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ Bids Farewell To Studio Home Of Nearly 40 Years, Goes On Location To Greater Palm Springs
I'm not the producer of the show, but I know in some cases they air episodes as "new" that were previously recorded, either featuring old clips (i.e. repeats) or they pre-taped an episode and are clarifying that Kelly and Mark are not currently LIVE in studio considering the show's title. Either way, they should be in their new digs at 7 Hudson Square starting next week.

“GMA3: What You Need to Know” might soon have a new set of anchors, weeks after the show’s behind the scenes production staff were let go following layoffs at ABC News, reports Page Six, the gossip column that is an extension of the New York Post. “GMA3: What You Need to Know ABC News According to the outlet, sources indicate that current hosts DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim are likely to be replaced by the end of the summer as the news division looks to turn things around at the ratings-challenged third hour of “Good Morning America.” Reportedly, ABC News president Almin Karamehmedovic is currently mulling a change in front of the camera. At the same time, the outlet’s sources are also hinting that “‘GMA3’ won’t be there at the end of the summer,” news of which conflicts with recent reports that the network would be sticking with the program despite staff cuts, unimpressive ratings and industry turmoil in the second age of President Donald J. Trump. Morgan and Pilgrim were named hosts of “GMA3” in 2023, following the ouster of former hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, both of whom were fired after their romantic relationship became tabloid fodder and took focus off the news they were hired to report. T.J. Holmes, Amy Robach Heidi Gutman/ABC ABC News is said to be considering either installing an entirely new set of hosts for the show or even expanding the face time of the morning edition’s core anchors like Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan. While declining to officially comment on the futures of Morgan and Pilgrim to Page Six, a spokesperson told the outlet, “What we have said from the beginning is that we are unifying all day parts under the ‘GMA’ umbrella and team and that includes seeing all members of the extended ‘GMA’ family in the third hour.” Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos ABC News “The third hour is a valued part of the GMA franchise,” the spokesperson continued. “Robin, George and Michael have been on before and they will continue to be featured.” As noted by the spokesperson, with ABC News unifying the “GMA” brand, “Good Morning America” executive producer Simone Swink will now oversee things at “GMA3,” while Catherine McKenzie, who had been executive producer of the third hour since the current iteration’s debut in 2020, was among those laid off. Timeline of “GMA3” Speaking of Strahan, he co-hosted the third hour of “GMA” way back in 2018 when it was originally launched as “GMA Day,” and included “The View” co-host Sara Haines as his co-host, before the show was later retooled and rebranded as “GMA3: Strahan & Sara,” marking the first time it formally referenced itself as a third-hour of “Good Morning America” while at the same time putting more emphasis on its co-hosts. By August 2019, actress and singer Keke Palmer had quickly become a fan favorite following her brief time filling in for Haines who had been on maternity leave. As such, Palmer was made a full-time co-host of the program to reward her contribution, with the show again rebranded to “GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke.” Sadly, with the emergence of Covid, production on the show was “temporarily” suspended in the spring of 2020, replaced by “Pandemic: What You Need to Know,” anchored by Amy Robach. With the success of the straight news format, “GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke” was quietly canceled, with Haines returning full-time to “The View” and Strahan returning full-time to “Good Morning America,” as the show was permanently replaced by the rebranded “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” debuting in June 2020. By September 2020, T.J. Holmes was named co-anchor of the program, working alongside Robach and then medical contributor Dr. Jennifer Ashton. “GMA3” Ratings Performance vs. Competition According to figures released by Nielsen, during the week of March 24-28, 2025, the most recent week in which ratings data is available, “GMA3: What You Need to Know” continued to rank last among Women 18-49 (0.15 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.21 rating), the two key demographics used to sell ads for daytime television programming.
