Sly, the annoying band manager. Always liked him on that show and was surprised to see his IMDb didn't have more on it. And that he didn't even join a soap. He'd of made a great addition back then. EDIT: Never mind. He appeared in an episode of "GH" in 1997.
  8. Sorry. I think I misread your post. Susan Lucci was on his show by herself and the tribute to Agnes Nixon. Erika Slezak appeared on the Agnes Nixon tribute along with Susan and a bunch of other people from AMC.
  9. She's been on his show two previous times. One by herself and the second one was in March during the Agnes Nixon tribute.
  10. "The Bold and the Beautiful" again attracts its second-largest audience of the season. "General Hospital" and "Days of our Lives" show improvement. In reruns, "The Price is Right" remained daytime's top choice. No, there's no issue in that regard at all. The server can handle size (pun intended, lmfao). Heck, the community has gotten flagged for Deidre Hall's bust in one member's signature and another member had a pic of Wonder Woman lying down with someone (I think Superman) as their avatar and it looked like cleavage in its small size. G monster still flagged it. I just request manual reviews. But that's been mostly non-existent these days due to adding that line of code I mentioned. Keep posting like you usually do. I was just wondering who the heck some of these people were. LOL. Who noticed the turtle? LOL Thanks.

Here's the thing. Who are these people? Ya'll never name them. LOL. BTW, I literally had to add some custom code to the forum due to this thread and others like it because the G monster flagged it for being too much for a *** ed class. Hence why unregistered people can't see any pictures without logging in first. Not sure if anyone knew about that.
  13. CBS is reportedly in talks with Jerry O'Connell to replace Sharon Osbourne on "The Talk." O'Connell would effectively become the show's first regular male co-host. 14. Reducing the amount of content from one hour to half hour (really 36 minutes to 18/19 minutes after commercials) would drastically reduce the budget and the amount of cast the show has on contract. The long-term benefit, however, would be the ability to sell internationally and allows the show to become more bingeable on a streaming service. Without giving back a time slot, the network(s) could program whatever they want during the hours they own. Marketing wise, yes there would be a cost to launch a new daytime program, but no where near the outrageous prices Disney for instance spent to launch "Katie" a few years back (roughly $80 million). I'd imagine the overall cost to produce more than programs in the five hours for CBS, three for ABC and essentially one hour for NBC would be equal to what they are spending now, but with any one hour getting two shows rather than one individual program it'll give the daytime lineups more diverse programming. At least that would be the hope. I don't understand why networks think all daytime programming should consist of is soap operas, game shows and talk shows and primetime can be comedies, dramas, reality TV, and other genres. No one is watching TV on a schedule these days and reruns of primetime shows flourish on cable during the daytime hours. No reason they can't play around and take chances. Another tangent post. Sorry. (This is no way means I want the networks to cancel the soaps or air reality shows in their place)

  16. I agree with this sentiment. I just didn't get the show's choice is hiring someone with such an accent that there was no way he could be an American named Ridge Forrester. But I've admired Thorsten since his first episode as Patrick Thornhart on One Life to Live. The man was damn sexy then and is damn sexy now, despite his comments to the contrary. Happy he's on B&B, and even happier he supports the soap genre.

Sure there's no new information on the status of "Pine Valley," the primetime reboot of "All My Children" in development at ABC but that's no reason to sit on our laurels waiting to find out what happens next. 21. More than a decade since it began enchanting viewers on Hallmark Channel, "The Good Witch" will end its run. No eighth season for the series. 22. Since this post was recently brought back up, I've been for and against reducing episodes for the daytime soaps. Reducing episodes in order for the networks to air something else on a day or two the soaps don't air could influence a quick cancellation if the other show does extremely well. At the same time, a reduced number of episodes per week could hold viewer attention spans better than a five-hour per week series can for those who aren't currently tuning in. That's where I do favor the half-hour format for the soaps as 2.5 hours is easier to digest than the aforementioned five hours. Plus, the networks or production companies that produce the soaps could sell them to international markets a lot easier or to a streaming service without much commitment from those who haven't been watching for 30+ years. "B&B" is as popular as it is due to its content as it is to its length. It's easier to showcase a marathon (or "binge" as today's viewers would say) for a half-hour show than it is for an hour-long.
