Dammit I got sucked into the marathon and I am now hooked. Flower needs to die! I was really hoping Tosca would stay leader. Who knew Meerkats lead such a soap opera like life?

Ok I was catching up last night before bed...and I HATE the way Flower has all this control. I hope they all have pups and dethrone that !@#$%^&*]. Who does she think she is banishing Mozart and Tosca out of the society? F her!

When queen Flower and the rest of the Whiskers family deserted Daisy (a daughter of Flower) after giving birth to her pups, Daisy had to choose to go with the family or abandoned her pups, new born meerkats need their mother to cuddle up with at night to stay warm or they will not survive, and they would not survive if she moved them, but if Daisy did not go, it would be suicide for her, because a female meerkat on her own with new pups, would not make it without her family, Daisy made the choice to go with the family and leave her pups behind. Flower has not forgiven another daughter Tosca or let her back into the family, so Tosca watches from a distance. Sean Astin does a wonderful job narrating this show.

Flower is a real piece of work! She knew just the way to get Daisy to abandon her pups by moving the family. Sigh, I wish Tosca would grow a backbone and come back and beat Flower up.

Talk about Flower Power, the queen had more pups, Flower now has 29 children and she could have more.

"Meerkat Manor" has become Animal Planet's hottest show, drawing an average of 881,000 viewers a lot for a niche cable channel since its debut in June. With the first 13 episodes concluding Aug. 18, the network is already working on Season 2, set to debut late next month to ride the show's momentum.

This show is awesome. I wonder what'll happen when Flower dies. Will there be mutiny?

In the Africa's Kalahari Desert where the family of meerkats called Whiskers make home, Flower's new pups Columbus, Parsley, Basil and Rose are ready to come out of the burrow, where they have been for their first 3 weeks. When Flower took the Whiskers foraging for food, Youssarian stayed behind to babysit the pups, but young and restless Columbus [the size of a index finger] wanted to go along with the adults and explore the new world and he made it back home alive. When the Whiskers sense a predator is near they start growling and spitting, they manage to slip past a giant eagle owl, that would have loved to have a meerkat for a snack. When family arrived back home, they were entertained by the ground squirrels Flora Dance. It looks like the first season will conclude Aug. 25 instead of Aug. 18. :o

Uncle Shakespeare the most reliable Whiskers' is babysitting the pups while Flower and the rest of the family are off foraging for food. The still evicted Tosca from the family may have found romance with roving male Carlos. Archrival of the Whiskers' the Lazuli family have found the burrow where Shakespeare and the pups are and he may have to defend the little ones with his life, their only chance is if the Whiskers' come back, will Flower and the family make it back in time to save them?? Find out in the season final - "Moving On." Aug. 25.

This Sun. Aug. 20 Animal Planet will show 4 back to back episodes of "Meerkat Manor" - "Daisy's Choice," "Flower Power," "An Awfully Big Adventure" and "The Calm Before the Storm" beginning at 8 PM ET/ 7 PM CT and repeated at 11 PM ET/ 10 PM CT.

I'm wondering if Carlos, the casanova of the rival meerkat gang, will mate with Tosca and they will start their own little family.

I can hardly wait for new episodes to air later on. I think it's about time that Flower be dethroned!
