It's funny, here I am only about an hour and fifteen minutes south of Louisville, but I have never been to watch the Derby...I have watched it on tv many times though. And one year I would like to go and watch the very large firework display, 'Thunder Over Louisville', which kicks off the Derby Festival each year. It's always on a Saturday night, two weeks before the Derby itself. Enjoy the Derby Shawn, and try not to gamble too much! lol Also, not sure if you've been to Kentucky before or not, but welcome.
