B&B and Y&R do the same thing, they sometimes have CBS reality show contestants appear as dayplayers.   They think it's some great marketing strategy but I just don't see it.

Yes, I know it's a thing, but with all the problems GH has right now I think it's ridiculous that this is what they're focusing on. "Stunts" like this have never done anything for a show ratings wise.

I don't think it's that different from when the show would have so many bands pop in and out of Luke's club (not BB King, of course - I mean some of the dregs by the end of the decade or the start of the next one), just publicity for a different era. More people probably follow Golden Bachelor, or Stephen A Smith, than follow GH right now. Still, it doesn't improve the show.

Is it just me or are most of the comments on that video some kind of bots?

Always; the same bots, repeating dialogue from the video in less than stellar English.

I agree with Melroser. 

 

With B&B, they have been really known to do that with their reality celebrities to the point the audience is used to it. Though it is odd it's been a minute since they have done that. With Y&R, they do it when it suits. Same for the ABC soaps BITD like the aforementioned Luke's Club appearances. With GH, it really seems random. Moreso given the show's current state.
