On Friday, NBC officially handed series orders to “Suits L.A.” and “Grosse Pointe Garden Society,” two of the highest-profile dramas it had in development.

The network did not reveal when either show would premiere, particularly whether they might air at some point during the upcoming 2024-2025 broadcast season. The network already has dramas “Brilliant Minds” and “The Hunting Party,” as well as comedies “St. Denis Medical and “Happy’s Place” set to air next season.

Starring Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis and Bryan Greenberg, “Suits L.A.” follows Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt for his entire career. Surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both himself and each other, Ted finds it impossible for them not to mix their personal and professional lives.

“Gross Pointe Garden Society” stars “One Life to Live” alum Melissa Fumero (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), AnnaSophia Robb, Ben Rappaport, Matthew Davis, Alexander Hodge, Aja Naomi King, Nancy Travis and Felix Avitia, and follows four members of a suburban garden club, all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.

Created by Aaron Korsh, “Suits L.A.” hails from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Hypnotic, with Korsh, David Bartis, Doug Liman and Gene Klein serving as executive producers. The pilot was directed by Victoria Mahoney.

Both shows seem like they're going to be a lot of fun (especially the premise of Gross Pointe Garden Society) and I can't wait to watch!  I wonder if Heels is over if Stephen Amell is doing another series?
