Well, I’ve heard there’s a Popeyes down the block from the studio so I imagine that most of the cast takes a lot of trips there

As for Abe, the idea that he got at the end of today is stupid af and totally out of character.

Today, I got a laugh about the different rules for how sound travels in Salem.

Nine times out of ten, if a person enters a room while two people are talking, they have to ask what they were discussing.  And somehow nobody seems to hear it, when Connie talks to ghost-Li, or just complains out loud about Gabi,

But, if Connie is around the corner while Jada and Stephanie are talking, she can hear them perfectly, and totally avoid being noticed.

If this was a story about how plain-looking people go unseen in a world where people wear velvet mini dresses to visit their brother in the hospital, that could be interesting.  But, I think I would be giving them too much credit.

Let's be honest: Janet Spellman-Drucker is now EP for three reasons: 1) whatshisface was fired; 2) she probably was the production team member with the most seniority; and 3) if Team Corday or NBCU went looking for other candidates before hiring Drucker, no one either from within the organization or outside of it wanted the job.  IOW, she's not there, because she wowed her bosses with some amazing vision for the show.

Finally, some follow up from Monday. Plus, today was much better than yesterday or Tuesday.

Eric vs EJ was the best part of today and it’s really sad that it isn’t going to continue, not only because of what happened BTS, but also because there’s still so much story that can be told for the two of them and Nicole. I really hope everything works out in the end. Btw, as much I don’t like the abrupt exit that was suggested today, I also have to admit that it’s not as bad as I thought it was gonna be.

Tate and Holly were kinda boring today but also a little sweet lol they really need  to push some kind of relationship between Tate/Sophia, especially if Holly’s gonna be working all summer. Everything that Theresa did could play into Tate’s storyline as well. They just need to put a little more care into the writing of their relationship. They’re writing Tate and the way he thinks about Theresa, the same way they wrote Will, Johnny and Allie and the way they thought about Sami and I don’t like that.

Speaking of Theresa, I hope they somehow manage to keep her around. Despite everything, she still has more story possibilities than Gwen does.

As for Fiona, I hope that her night with Brady becomes an added dynamic into the whole thing between Xander and her. They hinted at some kind of animosity between her and Sarah at the end of today, and while I don’t mind it, I think that the night with Brady could cause better conflict.

Nah, whatever story potential Theresa had is pretty much gone at this point. Her life is pretty much over at this point. No one is going to want anything to do with her and if she ends up getting a serious criminal record, hardly any place of employment would even want to hire her. Days is better off ditching her completely and replacing her with Andrew, who is a much more interesting and compelling character than her and with a lot more story potential. I just wish that he wasn't covering for his sister so much.

And I also wouldn't blame Tate if he completely washes his hands of his mother and wants nothing to do with her ever again.

I hope Brady gets out of his dumb funk soon and realizes that Theresa was definitely not worth throwing away his sobriety for.

Can I also mention how disgusted I was that Theresa threatened to cry rape again when Xander grabbed her arm and refused to let her go? That woman really isn't human as far as I'm concerned; she has no real feelings for anyone other than herself. So it's not really that surprising that she's deciding to turn herself in not because she actually feels bad for the crimes that she's committed, but because she knows deep down that she has nowhere else to go and she has no choice but to turn herself in. I have a bad feeling that Andrew's probably going to bail her out at the last possible moment. I will never understand why Ron refuses to let anyone suffer any real consequences on this show; it's beyond annoying and irritating.

You're the one who seems triggered and who needs to re-evaluate.

A lot of us are DONE with Theresa. She's human garbage, and it's time she was (really) punished for what she's done. If you love her, good for you. Now take your own walk on grass if this soap opera has you this upset.

Soaps never explain how if a guy passes out in bed, he can wake up shirtless.

Like, who's going to undress a drunk dude, especially when you're also drunk?  And, in this case, Brady's a big guy, so I would imagine it is difficult enough to get him into bed, let alone take off just his top.

Jada and Rafe had scenes with Eric during the strike episodes it was when he found Rafe and Jada had just moved in together and Jada's character didn't need anymore interaction with Eric before he was off screen because he is irrelevant to her life currently.

Theresa was never going to face consequences because Ron loved Emily playing the character on screen so she was always going to get a pass.

    • It really is ridiculous how happy episodes from 40 years ago make me. God, MKA is so young!
    • Holy sh.it. THAT was a damn soap opera. I’m at a loss for words for how good that was.
    • A private elevator penthouse with a spiral staircase to the primary suite.  Sign me up! The only deficit was that various riff-raffs seemed to have easy access to the elevator.

    • Same here.  Anyone who voluntarily left Margo's penthouse set (except to go overseas or to Heaven) was immediately on my blacklist.  lol.

    • The penthouse was my favorite set... and it changed hands from Margo to Draper/April to Miles/Nicole then to just Miles... before he opted to give that beautiful place for that drab house with the even more drab Beth.  That was a jump the shark moment for me LOL
    • The storyline April and Draper are involved in during the summer/autumn of 1979 seems fairly "benign" but soon turns very serious.  April has a VERY intrusive, wealthy mother (Margo Huntington Dorn).  Margo knows that April and Draper (who've recently had a miscarriage and are theoretically never going to be able to conceive another baby) want to buy a house.  Margo hoodwinks them into buying a house they can't afford.  The house is listed at $100,000 (about $400,000 in today's dollars).  Margo pays the first $35,000 and leads Draper to believe the asking price of the house is $65,000 instead of $100,000.  If Draper finds out his meddling mother-in-law paid 1/3 of the cost of the home and tricked him, he'll be mad as hell.   Meanwhile, Draper has received a job offer from a prestigious New York law firm.  Margo pulls some strings and has the senior partner in the firm rescind the offer, to keep April in Monticello.  If Draper finds out about THAT, he'll be even angrier with Margo than he will be about the house trickery.  All of that is "bubbling under the surface" in the fall of 1979 but will be the next major story, as everything begins to spiral out of control.   Yep, you've got the Karrs and their very basic middle-class house, the Victorian-themed place where Miles and Nicole live, April and Draper's old craftsman house with the exposed beams, the Madisons & their Mission revival house, and Margo with her 1970s-chic penthouse.  Each of the sets is completely different.  And their budget was like zero, lol.
    • It felt weird and out of place.  I get it. While I agree with those on here that say he's gotten better, it's still really bad. I'm not seeing the "good" acting some see...but I'll give him a B for being better than when he first started. There's potential. I'll leave it at that.
    • It's like watching paint dry at a slow-ass pace. It's bad acting. Entirely. Excellent? With Claybon? Never. Ever.
