Although “The Bay” has previously won 23 Daytime Emmy Awards (out of 56 previous nominations) over its seven-season run, the drama series has never directly competed against long-running soaps “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless.” That all changed on Wednesday when the series received three Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Daytime Drama Series, Outstanding Daytime Drama Series Writing Team and Outstanding Daytime Drama Series Directing Team.

“I am so incredibly grateful. These nominations could NOT be possible with [sic] my amazingly stellar cast and crew who help in so many ways bring this show to life and make it happen,” said showrunner and series creator Gregori J. Martin. “I am so incredibly thankful to you all. Thank you #TheBayFamily. These nominations belong to all of us! I love you.”

The first ten episodes from the show’s seventh season are currently streaming across multiple platforms in the U.S., including Tubi, the FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) service owned by FOX Corporation, Amazon Prime Video and Popstar! TV. Additional episodes from season seven will be released soon while production on the show’s eighth season has already been completed.

Previous seasons of “The Bay” can be streamed on Tubi, Amazon Prime Video and Peacock in the U.S. and 10 Play in Australia. The Roku Channel has episodes from the show’s first season.

The series follows the residents of Bay City as they struggle with a shocking cataclysmic event that leaves everyone wondering who lives and who dies while cursed by the spirit of a murdered Senator. The series stars Kristos Andrews (“Survive the Game”), Karrueche Tran (“Bel-Air”), Mary Beth Evans (“Days of Our Lives”), Jacklyn Zeman (“General Hospital”), Mike Manning (“Days of our Lives”), A Martinez (“Santa Barbara”), Brandon Beemer (“Days of our Lives”) and Tristan Rogers (“General Hospital”), along with a multitude of other soap opera veterans and rising stars.
