Webmaster Errol Posted March 22, 2023 Webmaster Share Posted March 22, 2023 Louise Sorel will reprise her iconic role as Vivian Alamain on “Days of our Lives” later this year, she recently announced during an interview with Harvey Brownstone on his YouTube Channel. She began taping this month. When asked by Brownstone how her experience has been since being back on set, Sorel shares that it’s been difficult, particularly now due to Covid and the procedures in place by production. “You’ve got to get tested before you even get into the building. Then you sit in your room and wait until they tell you you’re clear, which could be two hours, at 5:30 in the morning. And then they shoot twice as fast as they ever did.” She adds, “There’s like a quick rehearsal and then [you] shoot it. I haven’t been here in three years, so yesterday, I felt God awful. I mean, I was apologizing. I was fumbling all over the place because they are loading me up with dialogue, and it’s been a while.” Comparing her previous time on the show to her return, Sorel says, “It’s even harder now for all the actors. For the crew, for everybody, because it’s bare. They are taking time away from the work. It’s just, ‘get it done, get it done.’ I’m not blaming anyone, but that’s the way it is. It’s hard.” Sorel joined the cast of “Days of our Lives” in 1992. She played the role of Vivian off and on through 2018, followed by a brief return in 2020. Marj Dusay (“Guiding Light”) took on the character for a time between 1992-1993, and later Robin Strasser (“One Life to Live”) in 2019 and Linda Dano (“Another World”) in 2021.
