Following an earlier report that he had been let go as co-executive producer at “The Young and Restless,” Anthony Morina has confirmed his exit to Soap Hub’s Michael Maloney.

In a statement, Morina says, “After 16 years, it’s time to move on to other things.” He added, “I’m most proud of keeping the show going over the last two and a half years through COVID once we returned after the initial production shutdown.”

Morina will not be replaced. Head writer Josh Griffith will take over sole executive producer duties after serving as co-executive producer alongside Morina since December 2018. The two replaced then EP Mal Young.
