With Leigh-Ann Rose unavailable due to a scheduling conflict with another project, the role of Imani Benedict has been temporarily recast with “The Family Business” and “Terror Lake Drive” actress Denise Boutte, the soap announced earlier this week.

With additional credits including the suspense dramas “The Missing” and “Angie’s Cure,” the latter of which will open in conjunction with the legendary Bronner Bros Hair Show in Miami on August 27-29, Boutte will first appear in Genoa City beginning with the Tuesday, September 6 episode of the daytime drama series.

Lending her voice to the animated series “Young Justice” on HBO Max, Boutte is also set to co-star in the upcoming series “Kombucha Cure” for Amazon Prime.

It’s understood that Boutte will appear on “Y&R” for just a handful of episodes.
