I didn't appreciate what the writers did to his character after his breakup with Evangeline but lately I've been seeing some signs of the old Johnny Mac. He was a much better person when he was with Evangeline and when they broke up he was almost robotic, like he was just going through scenes with no emotions. Great to see a little bit of the old John McBain these past few weeks and hope to see more. Can't wait to see a reunion between John and Evangeline. They are the sweetest couple on daytime IMO. It would have been nice to see John work on his Dad's murder by himself and not have to continue playing with the kid. ME can carry this s/l without the help of phony plots that keep him tied to MA's character. They just don't cut it as a couple as far as I'm concerned. Never did and never will. I loved the chemistry he had with KeMo on Port Charles. When I heard he was coming to OLTL I couldn't wait to see him in action as John McBain. I even gave the coupledom of John and Natty a chance. But when I saw my very FIRST John and Evangeline scene, it was OVER! I realized that chemistry I saw between ME and KeMo was reborn with REG. I can't wait until they are reunite! It's beyond time for Daytime to get its first Interracial Super Couple. Oooops, well second one (Daniel and Lily were its first) . I hope this search for his father's killer will give ME a great Emmy reel. And don't you know this search will bring him back home, to Evangeline. John's father was shot, David shot him, Paige performed the surgery but killed him on the table, Spencer covered it up, Spencer is sleeping with Blair and framed Todd, Todd is being defended by the brilliant Evangeline. I totally love them together. They can throw in all the twists and turns they want to, but no one is hotter than JOVAN. I'm inclined to agree with you about all of this leading John and Eva right back to each other. I think REG, ME and TSJ should be nominated next year for the material they had and it's only March.
