There might not have been any nerd culture fandom without Star Trek, perhaps no Star Wars, and it is tough to imagine a pop culture without Star Trek really. It was a great show, and while a little dated and campy, remains entertaining on repeated viewing. "The Naked Time" is my favorite episode. I love all the drama and melodramatic writing and music.
