Laws that allow businesses, government, doctors, etc. to ban gays or gay couples - the hot new trend

These are being passed or on the verge of passing in a number of states.

In Arizona all that's left is to see whether the governor will sign. This one allows businesses to ban gays from their premises.

And what a surprise, AP, which has gone down the crapper in recent years, makes their views clear not only with that title (their description is about "nixing the bill" because it "angers gays"), but also with this not so subtle line.

Social conservatives and libertarian-minded members of the GOP believe the legislation protects the First Amendment rights of business owners who are expressing their religious beliefs.

The new legislation was passed over the shrill objections of Democrats who said it was clearly designed to allow discrimination against gays. All but three Republicans in the Legislature voted in favor of the bill.

Shrill is one of the far right's favorite buzzwords.

That is weird timing since one of my coworker just posted on FB about a couple being banned in Kansas as well.

I may have my moments, but these people need to get over their issues.
