I basically started watching during Dimitri and Erica's heyday as well, so he means a lot to me. I am so glad he's back, I never thought it would happen. His presence is like stepping into a warm bath.

Absolutely!

I'm cool with Adam's lack of screentime because I really believe if DC wanted to do more, they would write for him. And while I know some others feel differently, I just don't need a big splashy Brooke/Adam wedding- if they marry them, fine, if not- fine but I don't think it would even be in character for Brooke to want some grand affair at this point of her life. Dimitri being back and sharing scenes with her is a joy since I also started watching mid Wildwind era- shortly after Dimitri & Erica's first wedding. I really would love for him to have a scene with Bianca.

Wha?? Someone on here wants Brooke and Adam to have a big wedding? Yo' crazy! I've never heard anyone say that on here.............

I agree about DC--there's no way this lack of screentime is just due to lack of writing for him.

Talkin' 'Bout TV Movies

The Ann Jillian Story was much better than I expected it to be. I came away with a lot of respect for Ann.
I remember we all had some good laughs over Never Say Never, its promotion, and its idiosyncracies (Connie Ray as "Shane," Wayne Northrop playing himself acting opposite Deidre in a scene set in 1987) on the Days history thread.
I've never seen the Joan & Melissa movie, but Enter Talking and Still Talking included Joan wondering how her life would have been different if she had continued pursuing a career as a serious actress rather than going for comedy.

I can see why they moved them over to ATWT, but something was off...they just didn't work and even their second run, which was better and created Tom and Margo and Steve and Betsy was not as sophisticated as GL and they totally blew up the Hughes family. I would love to read an interview with them with their take on that time.

Would he would appreciate it if I wrote to him that in his Apollo day...also when he played the headhunting native on Gilligan's Island...I kid you not.. he was a real piece of a**!!! : )
He worked continuously..and he must have been pretty gay friendly as he played a bisexual biker in a bad movie (with a hilariously cliched campy sidekick) and in on weird Italian movie where he played a guy who continuously broke in on this guy and basically raped him..and by the third time the guy was loving it!! And this was what passed as and Italian sex comedy!
It was too bad the Dobson's wrote Nick so badly..he was a chauvinistic ass who was always angry. He and Hayes had good chemistry and they were popular, but as soon as they got married they got the Nancy and Chris treatment and were rarely seen.

GH: Classic Thread

She was a special character that was perfectly cast. That whole backstory was so well told. We get the beginning of an introduction to the history of that family when Luke and Laura hide out in what eventually becomes their home. Laura sees images of a black family living in the now abandoned house. Later we learn it was the Ward family home.
I hate what Guza did to that house. They turned it into something ugly and it was originally something beautiful. Laura seeing it for the first time and walking around inside it feeling the history and the love is one of my favorite set of scenes from their return. I loved that set.

I actually think Orphey Gene's should have been a cute and trendy coffee house instead of a sit down restaurant. People will hang out at a coffee shop over a restaurant especially during work days.
Laura is getting more story and focus than Chelsea. I would cut my losses with Chelsea and just focus on developing Laura's character.
Derek/Ashley trying the friend thing too quickly.
I do like SPS and Marcel together.. and it's a nice break from her mooning over her Teddy Bear.
I see the show is still playing the Tomas/Eva connection... but I hope nothing further is done with them until both do some growing up.

Can't argue with that. Why would Ashley and Naomi leave Uptown to go to that godforsaken coffee spot that looks like it's in the corner of an almost-abandoned mall?

-- Listening to Tomas and Eva talk about the book series they're reading was painful.
-- Madison and Chelsea kissing at the hospital is really inappropriate. Do these writers think that's cute? It's not.
-- Also, I wish we got to see the conversations that moved Madison and Chelsea to make up. Instead, it was skip the show and move on to the tell.
-- Kind of weird that Bill and Tomas sat at that country club table for the entire episode.

Interesting story (as in, not interesting at all 😂), a friend and I were in the very early stages of developing a mini series of very short parts (2-3 minutes each) but the pandemic happened and then life. I guess the true desire wasn’t there.
I’ve been doing a lot of research into ‘vertical dramas’ and I wonder if this P&G enterprise is going to follow those lines.
